"My husband and I went to Thirty 7 North on a Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was very quiet, without many guests, but our experience was wonderful. The service was impeccable attentive, but not hovering. Our dinners were excellent fresh ingredients, well prepared and served at the appropriate temperature. Although it was a quiet evening at the restaurant, we felt as welcomed and as special as would be expected on a more popular Friday or Saturday night. We'll definitely return!"

Food preparation has become uneven. Sometimes great and sometimes not so great. This visit was one of the latter. Tables used to hard to come by but not any more. Perhaps others have had the same experience.

We had our New Year's dinner with a group of six, and it was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, with Oliver being particularly attentive. We were seated promptly. While the cocktails are a bit pricey, they are a generous size and absolutely delicious.

Don 't let the humble exterior fool you. This is fine dining, elegant and so memorable. I loved my cocktail, The Heater with jalapeno-infused vodka and fresh cilantro, but the best thing I ate on our entire trip to VA Beach was their fish stew with coconut-curry broth. The clams may have been the freshest I 've ever eaten, and the herbs in the broth gave it the most beautiful spice. I found myself feeling emotional about this meal! Not to be missed.

We visited yesterday to enjoy the delicious farm-to-table options, but it seems their menu has shifted to primarily pizza and other casual dishes. Unfortunately, we decided to leave because we preferred the old 37 North. I'm sure the pizza is good, especially with the nice oven they have installed, but it wasn't what we were in the mood for. It's not a major issue, but it would be helpful to update the sample menu and restaurant description on this page.
