"Totoya has become my wife and my favorite sushi spot. Try their Gyoza. It?s our favorite appetizer. I like the sushi sampler while my wife likes the rolls. Her favorites are the Fiesta rolls, Marbella, and caterpillar roll. The ambiance is great therebut the place is small. Sitting outside is the best is the weather is right which it usually is in San Juan Capistrano. I likethis spot even better than Gen Kai in Dana Point which is our friend?s favorite spot. Been to both. This place way better! ????"

This is the best sushi I've ever tasted, especially the special dish. While it is a bit pricey, it's definitely worth it for a special occasion. Make sure to make a reservation!

Make sure to get a serving of their real Wasabi for your sushi!! One or the few places that actually has the good stuff. They're usually pretty busy here but you'll still find seating if you wait a few minutes.

A group of six of us had dinner there tonight, and we all agreed that it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite sushi places. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was charming, and the fish was exceptionally fresh!

I was genuinely impressed by the care they put into their food, using ingredients like real wasabi and fried dried garlic—rare finds in most sushi restaurants. Everything was fresh! This place definitely stands out as one of the top five sushi restaurants out of the fifty I've tried. View menu

5 star flavors! We had great gyoza, sushi, and a roll, all delicious. The staff wasn?t very attentive though. We needed to call their attention to order, to check on a missing item, and to get the bill. But it was a busy night? They need more staff Isuppose. Also expected to be full after the amount of money we spent, but alas! We went to get tacos afterward ????

Literally the best sushi I 've ever had. The poke bowl is so fresh and the perfect blend of flavors... If I ever was on the show The best thing I ever ate I would talk about the baked scallop roll. The flavors are insanely good and the parmesan on top is just amazing. We HAVE to stop here anytime we are in town. Friendly and fun staff, make this a food destination.

We had an amazing dinner! Everything was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. Our small group tried around 9 or 10 dishes, and each one was more delicious than the previous. The atmosphere was charming and welcoming, and the staff was friendly. It was great to see many locals and regulars dining there, which is always a positive indication. We can't wait to visit again soon! View menu

We have been coming here for years and every time we have an incredible experience. The food is delicious, the service is kind and friendly and the atmosphere is delightful (we enjoy sitting outside). Reservations are recommended however we walked in at 5pm when they opened and they were happy to accommodate us. I personally enjoy the Marbella Roll and the Fried Jalapeño tapas. "Husband and I were looking for an Italian place for dinner we didn't want to go to our usual. I came across Ciao Pasta on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. It's in San Juan Capistrano which is always nice to walk before or after dinner. I called and made reservations for 5:15pm , we arrived about 20 minutes early but thank god we did as we couldn't find the place. It's not hard to find it we just thought it was on the opposite side of town. We managed to make it right on time and we were seated right away. It was such a nice afternoon that we decided to sit outside. It's a beautiful restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside. We started off with ordering drinks and an appetizer. We ordered the carpaccio to start with. They also brought us some delicious and soft focaccia bread with some olive oil and crushed olives( I believe) . When I saw the carpaccio it just looked so beautiful and delicious and it was also delicious and so fresh tasting. The focaccia bread was also very good I decided to top my bread with some of the carpaccio, it was amazing. For dinner my husband ordered the beef Bolognese and I ordered the crudo pizza. The pizza had some prosciutto and Parmesan cheese and topped with some arugula. The pizza is a great size to share . The crust on the pizza was absolutely amazing. My husband absolutely loved the pizza crust he said it took him back to his childhood. It tasted like freshly made flour tortillas with butter on it. It was so good!!! He also enjoyed his pasta dish. And of course we had to get some dessert and we went with the ricotta cheesecake with raspberry sauce , it was delicious and not to sweet. This restaurant also has great service. The waiters and servers were on top of it. We will definitely be back to try some more of their dishes. Thank you for such a great dinner!"
