"We ordered a large order for Fathers Day.The packaging of the food could have been done a bit better ended up getting curry from the chicken all over my car.. a simple plastic wrap around the container or bag would have prevented this from happening! The food quality was a bit of an issue... I have made and had plantains many times but these seemed like they had turned they had a sour taste and were mushy and not cooked well at all. The rasta pasta was inedible it tasted like a sweet honey and we just threw it out.. was not at all what I was expecting! The Stewed chicken was good but not what we are accustomed to calling stewed chicken .. The curry chicken was good but all thighs which it did not clarify when ordering lots of Fat on the chicken. The roti was probably the best part of what we ordered but they are pricey...The worst part of the meal was the jerk wings which had a very bitter off taste to them and the curry potato and channa (Which was very watery. The rice and beans were just rice and red beans and lacked all flavor... the spinach was also not very flavorfulOverall I would not ever order here again! It was not good and for the $400 I spent... we ended up having to throw out quite a lot of food. The quality of the food was NOTHING like I expected ... much of the food tasted like it was turned or close to spoiled. I was very disappointed!"

This cost me about $24 weighed. Palau, mac cheese, jerk wings, chicken curry. Everything was yummy. Jerk wings A1!

Lady behind the counter definitely needs a smile on her face. I asked a simple question and it triggered a bad response. Can't imagine if she was really upset

This restaurant is absolutely amazing! I had the Macaroni Pie, Curry Goat, Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, and more, and everything was delicious. The food is well worth the price and I will definitely be returning with my friends. I give it a 5 out of 5 rating and highly recommend it! View menu

The dish in the photo cost $22. This restaurant offers tasty food, but at nearly $11 per pound for the self-service buffet, it's best to avoid coming for dinner. It is definitely not worth the high price. The lunch special, on the other hand, seemed more reasonable. I might return because the ox tail was well-seasoned and tender, and all the accompanying sides were delicious. I am just surprised at how little food you get for $20.

I am giving this restaurant only 3 stars because of the burnt patties and coconut bread. My experience here went downhill quickly. I ordered oxtail and received a fatty piece of meat. The fried plantains looked and tasted overcooked. I requested white meat for the jowl and was given two legs instead. As a Guyanese person, I was excited to see a Western Indian restaurant in Virginia, but it looks like I'll have to go to Maryland to find decent food.

I don't understand some of the reviews. some people complain about the cost, but awaymans has a buffet that is $14.99 quite a bit for non-alcoholic food. the others complain about the food that has no taste and that is far from truth. the owner is proud of his food and ingredients. he had come out and had a full description of his food and how he grew up in it. I'm here twice and I want to make more travel. if they find good authentic aromen, they have always for more. View menu

When this place first arrived, it was great. Now its just nasty. The food sits in nasty grease all day from who knows how many days earlier. The macaroni pie was raw, the rice and beans container was empty, and the guy who owns the place didn't even bother to look up at me as I stood there, asking about the rice and beans. Some other person came over and said, it'll be four minutes. Waited for them; the lady said he's coming right out with them....he walks out with covers for the other food and just went on about his business. Never saw the rice and beans. That was my clue to leave all of that nastiness right there. The nasty food the lackluster attitude towards the only customer there, was...

I ordered the small ruckus hühnerplatte and hühnerrasta pasta for the delivery by grubhub during the work recently. eating came hot, smells good and had good taste, but eating was not properly cooked. the penne noodles in my pasta were overcooked, and the ruckhuh contained with it were two bone-in drum sticks on the top of the very wet (the sauce was suppe consistency) and overcooked pasta. the small jerkboard included rice and beef, charcoal in pot, two pieces plantain, with a bone in chicken drumstick. from the plate, the rice was very undercooked and edible, the curtains were not ripe and not ripe (only ate in,) and finally the shin. of the three pieces of the shin over both plates, only...
