"Let’s start with the appetizers: you simply can't miss the Butternut Squash soup, perfectly spiced with cinnamon, paprika, turmeric, and topped with pumpkin seeds. The Lamb Sloppy Baba is also a must-try—a rich blend of grass-fed lamb, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, and cloves, served with fresh lemon and buns that will leave you wanting to lick the plate clean. For the main course, the Corn Bhartha is a standout, featuring sweet corn, ginger, garlic paste, tomatoes, onions, turmeric, and coriander—so good that you’ll find yourself licking the bowl. The chicken or vegan pumpkin curry is another fantastic option, combining pumpkin, turmeric, ginger, onions, garlic, and cinnamon into a fabulous dish. And, of course, we couldn't resist dessert. The Shrikhand Cannoli, made with saffron-infused shrikhand and a crunchy cannoli shell, was out of this world. We also indulged in pumpkin naan—infused with pumpkin, brown sugar, and cinnamon—and enjoyed it dipped in the pumpkin curry. What a spectacular menu! "After weeding through a multitude of restaurant choices for our anniversary dinner, we selected the Newtown Piccolo; excellent pick of the litter. Menu was extensive, so we needed time to narrow down our final selection. Our waitpersons (especially Greg) were bubbling with personality, and catered to our every whim, offering constructive suggestions which we heeded. The lightly breaded and fried calamari were small but tender, ample in portion (I could only eat half). The house salads were unremarkable, served with a decent balsamic vinaigrette on the side. The shrimp scampi was superb, and Greg had no problem subbing out some lemon risotto for the pasta normally provided. My veal dish was generous in volume and cut up into the crab, asparagus and perfectly cooked fettuccini all slathered in a delicate and ample brandy sauce; we could only finish half of the entrees, so many leftovers to look forward to. Greg wanted our first trip to this place to be a memorable one, so he offered up two free desserts of our choice to complement our special occasion. Again, high quality delectables in the form of a chocolate cake, and and a peanut butter mousse filling in a dark chocolate shell coated with crushed nuts. We WILL be back again, and will hope that Greg (and trainee Nicole) will be working on that night. A most pleasant anniversary meal, moderately priced."

"I hate giving this place a bad review but I just had my second bad meal in the last 2 weeks. This restaurant has a real great outdoor space as well as a nice indoor space but the food is not very good. When it first opened the food was good but it's like there isn't a chef in the kitchen now. First I brought my family for dinner and my wife's crab cake was horrible. Tasted like a really bad fish cake with no taste of crab. My son's prime rib was uneatable so it was sent back. Everyone had issues with their meal. Even the appetizers were poor. The calamari was deep fried to a point of unrecognizable food. The second visit was for lunch. I had the and wagyu steak sandwich which was a wagyu fat and gristle sandwich. There is no excuse. Whomever cooked that sandwich had to know what was in it. I dare the cook to eat it. Definitely not recommended and never going back."

"Always enjoy a visit to the Iron Hill. They never disappoint. At the Newtown, PA. location, another great visit yesterday.Always plenty of seating. Decorated for Christmas. Loved how the servers had Eagles shirts on for the big game against the 49’s (unfortunately, that game was a bad one for us).I had a Sugar Plum sour beer. Wow! If you like sours like me, this one is sour….and Great!!I had the pretzel crusted salmon filet. Awesome!!! Prepared just right. The whole thing was delicious! And for dessert…the gooey butter cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Fantastic!!Our server ALANA was excellent. A big smile, so cute, and made sure she took good care of us. Such an upbeat personality. She kept checking on us, food and drinks were all delivered pretty quick. We even had the manager check on us and he ask if we needed anything. He got me a glass of water that I forgot to ask for.Keep up the great work!! Iron Hill is one of our favorite stops on our travels."
