Sushi - Menu

The restaurant has plenty of parking available outside, and it’s also open on weekday evenings. This is our go-to sushi spot, and we absolutely love it! I highly recommend the baked salmon and the dynamite roll.

Umai is my favorite sushi spots in North County. Not only is the food great and portions large, the service is very attentive. One of the main waiters always remembers my go-to order my additional requests. Food is served promptly, ambience is great, and everything is clean.

Matthew was so helpful and knows his stuff! Showed up a little early before open and he allowed us to sit and have us waters. This is a great Korean-Japanese restaurant. I have the option to choose between two distinct cooking styles. The bibimbap is excellent, and the teriyaki portions are quite generous. The ahi was also nice. My friend wasn't a fan of the tofu stew—she found it too spicy and not made with soft tofu—but I personally enjoyed it.

We discovered this restaurant shortly after moving here and enjoyed it, but it was a bit far for us. When some friends visited and requested good sushi, we decided to make the drive. It was definitely worth it, and we regretted not coming sooner. We shared about seven rolls among four of us, and they were absolutely delicious!

My mom and I visited this restaurant for an early dinner at 5:15 PM. There was a slight wait, but the host was friendly and kept us updated. This wasn't our first visit, and it certainly won't be the last. We ordered a variety of sushi, and everything was prepared with fresh ingredients—there was no fishy odor at all. Walked in and was told they close in 30 mins. Asked if we 'd still get our food. Gentleman replied yes . It was relatively busy with many tables occupied. Sat down and a young woman soon asked what we wanted to drink. Took a drink order then brought waters. We then sat for about 10-12 minutes. Nothing but crickets! Walked out and left. You 'd think they 'd be anxious to take our order if they 're closing soon. Oh well.... Keep on Yelp 'n!

This restaurant is absolutely delicious! The food is fantastic, and the salmon portion is quite generous. The customer service is exceptional. Among all the sushi spots I've tried, I keep coming back here. There are many tasty options, but my favorites are the Golden Mountain, the Lemon Roll, and the Salmon Sashimi. The baked lobster is also outstanding! Even with a few lower ratings, this place consistently averages 5 stars thanks to the quality of the food and service.

2-Star is for the integrity. The food is 4-Star. I ordered through their online partners one time, and somehow there was a price discrepancy. The online order was a couple dollars cheaper than the restaurant (which they must had increased the price without sharing with their online partners). They charged me more when I went to pick up the food. At that point, 30 mins after the order was placed, I was already too hungry to complain about the price, so I'd let it go. In hind sight, I should had mentioned something about false advertising and bait and switch is illegal. Anyway, this place is worth a try. The sashimi is really good.
