Our party of 4 had dinner on Friday October 15th. The Friday fish fry was the worst perch we have ever had. The breading was so deep fried and thick and greasy. It tasted terrible. I would never recommend this restaurant for a Friday perch dinner. Also overpriced at $18.00.

Uptown is truly a hidden treasure in the local dining scene! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was charming. Our server, Mary, was extremely friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant truly knows how to cater to their local clientele. I highly recommend it! The food at this restaurant was fantastic, and the service was top-notch! I ordered the fried squid and it was crispy without being greasy. I also enjoyed it with rye bread, coleslaw, potato pancakes with apple sauce and maple syrup. It was the ideal classic Friday night fish dinner. The salad bar was set up buffet-style just like the soup.

This restaurant offers fantastic value and has a friendly and warm atmosphere. Jill does an amazing job behind the bar. The long roasted New York strip steak is incredible. The waitstaff is excellent, very attentive and accommodating. It's our favorite place to take our two adult sons and friends as we can visit, relax, and enjoy our meals and drinks.

Food was good but not great, and when the price is in the expensive side, you hope for great. Wait staff was nice and soup and salad bar are tasty and it seemed like you could have as much of the soup or salad as you wanted. My mom got tenderloin that was very rare, but she ordered it medium rare. I got fettuccine alfredo, with very thick sauce. Not how I like it, plus I found a hair in it. Not planning to go back. Went there for my birthday with a group of family members. Was completely disappointed and was a complete waste of money. For a 155.00 meal we got fish that tasted like flour, beef tips that tasted old and smelt like beer, and the Alfredo well there was no taste except water. Said something to the waitress and she blew it off. Brought me out a birthday dessert that was dry and old. Worse birthday meal and a complete waste of money!!!!!

Ate here today for an early dinner with my family. There were a few people at the bar but no one else in the dining area. Our waitress was friendly and the soup and salad was great. Two of us ordered the tenderloin and something was off with mine. I asked the waitress if they could throw it back on the grill for a bit which was no problem. Tried it again and I don't know what it was but the steak didn't even taste like steak. I tried a piece of the other one, it was better but still not right My steak was a very dull grey color while the other was more brownish/pink. We love finding older or more hole in the wall restaurants but I would not recommend this place.

I went with the average rating, because eating is always good when we go here, but it is not so amazing that the next day they talk about it at work and it is not the first place to fall into our heads when we try to think where to go. for our latest experience we met friends and ate at the bar. the bartender was very nice, but she seemed a little scattered, although the place was not particularly busy. it was hard to get their attention and when they did, it was a little difficult for keep to ask their attention.
