"This deli has had 3 4 different owners in the past 10 years so if you want to know from a (seasonal) local who spends summers here just two miles away and has been in the restaurant business in NYC, DC, and Vegas for 30 years: the truth about this place? completely *disregard* any review that is more than 3 years old. None of it applies, those people are gone. Yes, this place was beloved more than a decade ago when it was the Pultneyville Pickle; but was pretty terrible for years after it was sold, gutted, and rebranded... until about 2019 when new owners bought it once again and started to turn it around. And let's be fair most of that time was during lockdown/COVID. The new owners are hard working, clearly care, know what they are doing, and buy quality ingredients. A lot of things are made from scratch and the staff are super hospitable. The sandwiches are better, the ice cream is better, even the coffee is much better than before. It seems like it's constantly improving. This is the highest quality deli/cafe from Sodus to Webster. They even serve draft beer, so stop in and have a hot sandwich and nice cold brew and enjoy the charming hamlet of Pultneyville. It's nice to have this historical little store back to being something to be proud of once again. I hope they keep working to make it better and better! Seems like they will."
