"Small Taiwanese restaurant/tea shop located next to grocery outlet and Bhanu Indian restaurant. There are only about seven small tables available so this is not a great place for larger groups. They are known for their fresh teas and Taiwanese food. Service is friendly and pretty quick, and they Chinese/Taiwanese music playing in the background.Food/Drinks: Jasmine Green Tea: I stuck with a plain jasmine green tea with less ice and less sugar. I asked for the less bitter choice between the jasmine green tea and assam black tea, and the server told me the jasmine green tea is less bitter. But I still felt that it was bitter and wasn't a huge fan. I think next time I'll try the Assam black tea. Popcorn chicken: My favorite item we tried. They make it with fresh basil and I really enjoyed eating the crispy basil leaves that came with the chicken. We got spicy level and wasn't that spicy. Came in a good sized portion to share. Basil chicken with lo mein: they called this 3 cup chicken (3 杯雞 but it does not taste like that. If anything, it taste more like a chicken and ginger stirfry with lots of green onions and some basil. But I really enjoyed the lo mein, which is stirfried with a caramelized onion sauce. Slightly sweet and savory. The Railroad pork: the pork chop is made with a garlic and ginger marinade. It is soft soft with a layer of breading, and we got it served over rice. I wasn't a fan of this, despite everyone's raving review, the race was a bit dry, and the pork chop is just standard to me. Comes with corn and veggies. Bringing takeout is easy because they serve you the food in the to go boxes already, so they just give you a lid and you're out the door. I think next time I might try the pork Katsu, braised pork, or beef noodle stew."

Very good authentic Taiwan taste. The Stew Pork is so juicy and flavorful. Must try Assam Milk Tea. Love it.

Credit card fee: 4%Beef noodle soup: Noodle texture didn’t hold up on the 20min drive. Broth heavy and rich. Decent but i advise don’t order as takeout, eat it there.

I got the braises railroad pork yum! So moist and delicious!! I also really liked the egg wrapped in green onion pancake! The yolk and pancake in the same bite was so good! Service was attentive and parking was easy!

This is my favorite spot for lunch whenever I’m in the area. Why? I can’t get enough of the basil chicken rice. It has all the key elements of a great Taiwanese dish: it’s freshly made, packed with garlic and green onions, and the fresh ginger pieces really elevate it. I give it 5 stars! View menu

Great Taiwanese lunch style boxes. They have amazing happy hour deals. Regular prices are around $10. Tea drink for around $5. Really good milk teas that have real tea flavor, unlike some places that taste more like sugar water. Service is also great and AC is super cold. Great for me, but my GF always brings a jacket to wear.

I haven't visited this restaurant in a while. I've noticed that the portion sizes have decreased, and the bento box used to include an egg, which is no longer the case. I ordered the railroad pork chop, and it was quite tasty. At the time of my visit, there was only one other table occupied. The service was good, and I'm interested in trying some of their drinks on my next visit.

My family has been coming here for over 10 years! We ordered takeout today and it was ready within 15 minutes. They have the best Taiwanese pork chop rice (The Railroad). The meat is soft and flavorful and definitely my favorite. I also love their lo mein which is a typical thin noodle with a green onion sauce. The popcorn chicken is also one of my favorites because of the thicker, fluffy exterior. I've had the basil chicken and sacha beef and they're fine too but would highly recommend trying The Railroad the most! View menu

*3/3/23 UPDATE*Picked up a stewed pork chop bento today aka 'Railroad bento '. OMG it really hit the spot, leaving me hungry for more. I could probably eat this stuff 3x a week it 's that good! The XX Large pork chop is marinated in Chinese herbs and spices and stewed to perfection. The fried version is also excellent, not dry or overcooked. *Original Review*Current #1 Taiwanese pork chop bento in the 626. If you ever go to 99 Ranch Market and see their lunch boxes under a heat lamp, don 't waste your money on those they 're no bueno. Glad I checked out this new restaurant, will try their drinks next time.

Decided to check out Why Thirsty while I was in the area and got their braised pork chop with rice (also called The Railroad $13) togo. There's a good amount of parking in the plaza and ordering for takeout was reasonably quick 10min.Honestly, I was really surprised at the amount of food and how soft the braised pork chop was. The flavors of the braised pork seemed pretty traditional not overpowering but still tasty. When paired with the rest of the side dishes, which included corn scrambled eggs, steamed cabbage broccoli, and half a braised egg, the overall meal felt pretty well balanced (not going to put you in a food coma lol).Considering the large portions and decent price, I don't think...

"Awesome place! Recommended to me by my old Band director at the local highschool. Vouched for the garlic fries (they use FRESH garlic, get ready for that BITE! If the photos actually uploaded in order, they are the buttermilk fried chicken, 3 meat bbq tray(brisket, pastrami, pulled pork w/ side of coleslaw mashed potatoes, poutine fries, 2 meat bbq tray (brisket pastrami w/ side of mashed potatoes mac, beer flight (bartenders choice , buck cherry, and lastly the bbq pork sliders. Also ordered pork ribs but forgot to take a photo. Great friendly service! Chill atmosphere, great place for food and drinks. Meat trays are definitely worth it. The pulled pork was a smidge dry though. The other selections were significantly more juicy. Should split this someone unless you plan on taking some home. Coleslaw had some spice to it. Very complimentary. Mashed potatoes needed an extra umph . Something like garlic or ever fresh pepper can bring it up a level. I 'm told the poutine fries were good from my friend that ordered them. Didn 't get a chance to try any as they demolished the plate! Must 've been good! Mac was great, definitely a solid choice! Can never go wrong with sliders! Their sauce definitely makes an improvement to everything. Drinks were great. Loved the pork ribs but everyone else thought they were dry. Maybe they got bad ribs because the ones I tried were pretty juicy(I ate them late too . It 's also possible that they might have just been expecting a saucey rib rather than a dry rub rib. The buttermilk chicken was decent, that garlic sauce definitely brought it up a level! Y 'all need a Nashville style one too! Overall a great experience and awesome food. Definitely a step up from the last time I came. Will be back for sure!"

"Got in little late decided to UberEATS some food from this new Vietnamese restaurant. Flavors pretty solid but not best execution I 've had. ITEM 'S ORDERED: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice TASTE: Garlic Noodle w/ Shaken Beef was executed ok. The beef being filet mignon was not as tender as expected, but not so bad. Has a more tame savory black pepper flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The noodles seemed either a little too al dente or maybe somewhat stale or old. Garlic flavor was a little too weak but not a bad flavor overall. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro. Spicy Basil Chicken w/ Rice was the winner in this meal. Very well seasoned flavorful. Savory, but not overly salty actually quite spicy as you continue to eat. Glad the rice was not overcooked pairs well with the very flavorful sauce. There 's green red bell peppers as well as cilantro in this one as well. Both entrees come with a little romaine lettuce side salad with tomatoes pickled radish carrots. Lightly sweet, vinegary mayo dress dressing which I liked. I did not like the ends of the romaine hearts being in there. They should always be discarded. Everything was overly oily/greasy to the point you can just feel it all in your lips as you keep eating. At least it 's all quite flavorful since it 's really bad when it 's all oily lacking in flavor. Everything was quite hot when it arrived. Did not have to reheat anything. I do live close to this restaurant though. SERVICE, LOCATION PARKING: UberEATS order so no direct comments on service. All the food was packed well I like that they gave garlic chili sauce which pairs well with these foods. They are located in that somewhat new strip mall right across Costco off of Commonwealth Date. You can enter on either of those streets. There 's a shared parking lot which is usually easy to find a spot in. But it 's still usually busy in there since the parking lot is not really big enough for all the businesses there. Food was not a complete fail flavors were mainly solid so I 'm not opposed to getting food here again. Plus I 'm just so close to it as well."
