"I'm so glad I decided to stop at this restaurant! It's a small-town diner that’s linked to a sale barn. The interior is wonderfully eclectic and has a western vibe. The food was absolutely AMAZING. My friend and I really needed a good meal after a long journey from Memphis to San Antonio. I ordered the Sirloin Steak with a loaded potato and salad bar. Although the salad bar looked small, it had a wide variety of toppings. The steak was cooked to perfection! My friend chose the catfish, mac and cheese, and salad. He enjoyed the catfish, and the mac and cheese was great as well. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and we will definitely stop by again on our way back!"

"The joint was hopping at Friday's lunch run. We got there at about 12:10 so we expected the crowd. The service was very friendly and prompt, the kitchen was a little slow but the restaurant was in full tilt lunch service so I cut them some slack for that. My wife had the Friday lunch special of Catfish (2 x lg fillets) wit homemade fries and a tasty, sweet Coleslaw and 2 hushpuppies. Everything was VERY good except for the hushpuppies which were undercooked and gummy in the middle. The fish was GREAT! I had the large Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed potatoes and gravy; Onion Rings; Salad and Texas Toast. The potatoes were real, not instant and the gravy was good. The Onion strings were crispy and steaming hot. The only complaint was the batter on the steak was way oversized for the meat and the meat was run through a tenderizer and very thin. We'll go again, for sure."

"A few months ago, I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The menu prices did not align with what appeared on our bill. I ordered a cheese quesadilla for a child, but when the check arrived, it was priced the same as a quesadilla plate. When I inquired about this and mentioned that it only had cheese, they informed me that all quesadillas, whether filled with seafood, beef, chicken, or just cheese, cost the same. I spoke with the manager about it, and he confirmed this pricing policy. I told him we wouldn't be coming back, and he unhelpfully suggested that we should pay closer attention to the menu next time. The food was average at best, and the service was equally disappointing. I haven't returned since and have no plans to do so in the future."

"I absolutely love Billy B's! It's a must stop whenever we visit Groesbeck on a Saturday afternoon. No matter what we order off the menu, we always opt for a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar isn't very big, nor does it have a huge selection of add-ons, but the croutons are to die for. They are made in house daily. I could literally fill the bowl with croutons then spread some Ranch dressing over them and be happy. As for the rest of the menu, everything that I've had was good, and the service is great! Love those guys at Billy B's! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"I ordered a small chili cheese tater tot, as I've done for years at different locations. Unfortunately, what I received was disappointing. It looked like someone had merely splashed a teaspoon of cheese and chili juice on top; I couldn't see any actual cheese or meat on the tater tots. When the manager came over, he offered to make me a fresh set, but warned that they would look the same since that’s the standard serving size for chili cheese. I wish I had taken a picture, as I was quite appalled. I ended up getting a refund and went somewhere else for a snack. The service was polite and professional, but the quality was atrocious. I won’t be returning to this particular location."

"This is the only chicken restaurant in America that doesn’t actually serve chicken. I ended up ordering tenders instead. The dining area was filthy; I had to wipe down the table before I could sit down and eat. I also had to remind the staff that I had ordered a drink. The sign advertised Minute Maid lemonade, but I was given a generic lemonade from a gallon jug, which was not what I expected. Overall, this place is terrible—do yourself a favor and skip it."
