"The little bowl of soup was excessively salty, lacking any other flavors. My husband’s meal was similarly disappointing; although it looked nice, the shrimp was overcooked and tough to chew—more like chewing bubblegum than enjoying a meal. The fried rice was cold, and the spring roll was only lukewarm. The tempura vegetables were acceptable, but the overall experience left much to be desired. I had the tataki yellowtail as an appetizer, but it was poorly prepared and over-seasoned with sauce—unfortunately, I didn't manage to take a photo of it.
I really wished I had known about the poor quality before choosing this restaurant to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We were very disappointed. To make things worse, they only offered us a 10% discount despite hardly eating any of our meals. I only had a few of the tempura vegetables from my husband's plate. We will not be returning. We did give our waitress a $15 tip, as the issues with scheduling and cooking weren’t her fault. The Yamato in Springfield, Ohio, is fantastic, but this location did not meet our expectations at all."
