"Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the front desk staff. The gentleman we encountered was short with us and came across as rude. This impression extended to my 12-year-old son, who returned frustrated after receiving no help. When we inquired about checkout time, he said "noonish." My son clarified by asking if that meant 12 PM, to which the staff member simply repeated "yeah, noonish." The next morning, we received a call around 11:45 AM asking why we hadn’t checked out yet. Additionally, the bathroom door was broken, sliding open unexpectedly, which made it impossible to shower or use the restroom in privacy. The beds were the most uncomfortable we encountered during our travels, despite this being the only luxury hotel we stayed in; the others were more like Holiday Inns. We were looking forward to the pool, but the waterfall feature was never turned on, and the indoor hot tub was out of order. Overall, our stay was disappointing. **Rooms:** The rooms were spacious and well laid out, but unfortunately, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom didn’t lock, and the cabinet handles kept coming off when we tried to use it for the refrigerator. **Nearby Activities:** There are beautiful trails nearby for hiking and exploration. **Walkability:** While there are other hotels and a convenience store close by, this resort felt somewhat isolated."

It was alright; clearly understaffed with high turnover. The front desk manager was very good at resolving reservation issues. The pool was cramped and the hot tub could have used a hood scrubbing.Rooms: 3/5

Pet friendly but the rooms did not smell like “pet”. They smelled so fresh. Nice towels comfortable bed. Great pool. Only one restaurant but food was good and fairly reasonable. Great location and surroundings beautiful.

Comfortable, clean, and spacious hotel with atmospheric public areas and a good restaurant bar. The warm jacuzzi was nice to soak in after a day on the mountain. I just wish the main pool was heated too. And the motion sensor light in the bathroom kept on going off when taking a shower and there was no way to override it!

I can't say enough about this hotel and it's staff. Emily at the front desk was extremely helpful with answering all our questions. She recommended the food upstairs in their restaurant and it was so good we went several times during our stay. We can't wait to get back here as it is now our favorite quick trip getaway from Vegas heat! Thank you Emily! View menu

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is pretty nice, and the staff is super attentive and helpful. The on-site restaurant leaves a little to be desired; I noticed another review mentioned odd odors in their jelly packets. My wife had a similar experience with the jelly/jam with her breakfast toast. Other than that, that stay was excellent, and I’d totally stay there again.

We ate dinner at the lodge Thursday night, rancid hamburger meat, fries decent. We ate breakfast Friday morning, rancid butter, jelly packets with an odor I can’t describe, leather skinned egg omelette with outdated vegetables, side of fruit had brown bananas. Horrible food. I will be contacting health department about serving such slop. The spa massage therapists were very good. I expect the lodge response will be the canned ‘we can’t believe you had such a experience…’ that I’ve read in previous reviews. Whatever you do, don’t patronize their restaurant.

Aaron G was fantastic and was the only staff member who seemed to enjoy his job. We contacted the front desk immediately upon arriving at our room to inquire about paying for an upgrade to a room with a tub, but our request was quickly dismissed. We were informed they were fully booked for the weekend, yet I noticed that I could still book multiple rooms online. The pool was charming but unfortunately had dead flies floating on the surface and a bandaid at the bottom. The location is great and quiet, and we appreciated the fireplace in our room, as well as the excellent shower! We would consider staying again, keeping in mind that customer service does not seem to be a priority. As for wal...

The rates are quite inconsistent; for example, someone on TripAdvisor paid $105 for a suite last month, whereas we were charged $130 for a basic room (lacking a fireplace or seating area) located right across from the hotel laundry room. One of the biggest drawbacks was the construction of the building, which is wooden. When our upstairs neighbors returned late at night, we could hear them quite clearly as they moved around for an hour, which completely drowned out the television in our room. We ended up having to use earplugs just to fall asleep. On the plus side, the service was excellent. However, there was no breakfast offered and no additional amenities. The bed was comfortable, and...

"I can't be comparing this restaurant to other Thai restaurants back at home since the availability is way different but I can say it's decent Thai food. After having a bad experience at a restaurant nearby, my family and I opted for this alternative since 1. We love asian food, and 2. You can never go wrong with Thai food. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who told us his wife that does all the cooking. You get table service but it's also self serve for drinks. The owner informed us he will be cleaning up tables so if we wanted to grab our drinks, we were more than welcomed to. I felt like I worked there grabbing all the waters and condiments for our meals lol. Bacon wrapped enoki: must try! I've never had fried enoki mushrooms so it was intriguing. It comes with a shallot/chili vinaigrette and it's not spicy unless you bite on one of the chopped chilies inside the dish. Chicken yellow curry plate: For $13, it was pricier than I was used to for Thai food but this portion was shareable. We were given a large bowl of curry and a large portion of rice my SO and I were full after sharing this dish and the bacon wrapped enoki appetizers. Curry was creamy with potatoes and a lot of chicken. We had pieces of chicken with every bite. Thai sausage: It's a mild curried sausage with lemongrass and other spices inside the meat. Good with rice, soy sauce and sriracha. There's also hooks around the tables to hang your snowboarding jacket or heavy coats before you settle down to have a meal."

"I came here last weekend on a bachelorette trip. I know, Brian Head for a bachelorette trip is a little odd, but it was actually a ton of fun. We stayed at the condos across the street so decided to walk over here and grab a late lunch and some beers. Even though it was the lunchtime rush, we didn't wait too long for a table. There was ten of us total so I was surprised they were able to put something together that quickly. The restaurant is located upstairs and the kitchen is downstairs so if you're waiting for a table, step to the side so you don't get hit with a tray haha. The servers are pretty good at warning you to get out of the way though. Since it was one of my best friend's bachelorette parties, I tried to order her a shot of whiskey as soon as we got there. Even though photos on Yelp show an old menu of whiskey's, they actually do not have any hard alcohol here. It's all beer, white claws, and ciders. Our server, Jimmy, recommended the apricot beer so we got an entire pitcher of that! It was delicious and definitely a great recommendation. We loved having Jimmy as our server! We decided to order some bites to share and got some quesadillas. The food wasn't the most spectacular, but again, we had some great service. Jimmy did disappear for a bit, but I'm assuming it was because the place was packed! So no hard feelings there. Also, it was insanely cheap here! We came back here at night, too, after going night tubing. They had live music playing and it was a lot of fun! We grabbed some beers and sat by the fire outside where they had a speaker so you could still hear the live band."

"This place is now called the Grand Steakhouse and I don't think I have ever had a meal that was so awful. We were staying at the Best Western which was just recently renovated and read a review here saying the restaurant was under new management so we thought we would stay local and enjoy a nice dinner. I was looking for a something light and healthy so I ordered the salmon. You should never have to use a knife when eating salmon. Even the rice it came with was shockingly overcooked and tasted like watery paste. The asparagus was fine but none of the dish had any sort of flavor except for a small pat of butter which even had no taste to it. My husband ordered the ribs and again, he had to use a knife to separate the meat from the bone and he said the sauce tasted like pizza sauce. The only redeeming part of the meal was our son's burger and fries. Not outstanding but not awful either. We also received great service from our waiter. These three dishes and a glass of wine ended up costing us $85!! I realized later, the salmon and ribs were probably cooked in a microwave which would explain why they were so tough and the salmon had no color to it. To add insult to injury, I found out after we had left that they overcharged me for my under-filled glass of white wine. I am the type of person that doesn't like to complain but after paying so much money for food that was basically inedible and then being overcharged for my wine, I felt I had to let the restaurant know about the issues. There were only two people working that evening. Our waiter and whoever was in the kitchen. I let the waiter know about the overcharge and the how disappointing our food was. He called the owner to see what to do about refunding the difference on the wine. As it turns out, it was their POS system that had the price wrong. The only solution the waiter could offer was to give me the difference from his own pocket!! I told him I was not about to take his money as he did his job well and shouldn't have to suffer because the computer system was messed up. He said it was the only solution he had unless I wanted to wait until they could update the computer system and then they could refund my credit card but this could take a while! I told him it wasn't worth the $3 to wait for all of that but I wanted to stress that there was a problem with the food and with their POS system and they needed to be addressed. I can't speak for their breakfast service as we refused to spend another dime there after our dinner experience. If you want a ho hum expensive burger try this place, otherwise, pass."
