"Stopped by here a couple times when they were closed. My neighbors and other people around town said food was okay and big portions. We were a party of 5 with 2 picky eaters under 6. We all had something different and the portions are big. We were all more than happy with our selections including the kids who were very hungry which helped them to try everything. We had the Tom Yom soup it was soo good. The only complaint I had was there were to many vegetables and chicken. It had the perfect amount of heat which was a 7 on thier scale. They are very careful not to over heat you. Mom and pop place with mom being from Thailand. We will be back and we hope they do well"

The food at this restaurant is fantastic! It's a charming little spot located in an affordable motel. We decided to stop here on our way from Cedar Breaks and it was the perfect detour before getting back on I-15.

It was one of the best authentic Thai food we have had in a long time. The only reason giving service 4 star because he forgot to ask the spice level. It’s hidden gem in a small town Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

If your going to charge extra for shrimp atleast take the tails off, also the potatoes were huge, cut those babies down to size! Service was slow and confused and our bill was over 100 dollars for 4 dishes and an appetizer woowee! Also no dishes for kids besides the fried egg rolls. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

My partner and I went to Sook Jai two nights ago. It was a peaceful evening and we were seated promptly. Our food order was taken quickly. We ordered Pad Thai, Red Curry with chicken, and Coconut Chicken Soup. The dishes were all delicious, with just the perfect balance of spices and not overwhelming in portion size. The medium level of spiciness was just right for us. The chef, who is one of the owners, is a skilled native Thai cook. We highly recommend trying out Sook Jai. Food: 5 stars.

"Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the front desk staff. The gentleman we encountered was short with us and came across as rude. This impression extended to my 12-year-old son, who returned frustrated after receiving no help. When we inquired about checkout time, he said "noonish." My son clarified by asking if that meant 12 PM, to which the staff member simply repeated "yeah, noonish." The next morning, we received a call around 11:45 AM asking why we hadn’t checked out yet. Additionally, the bathroom door was broken, sliding open unexpectedly, which made it impossible to shower or use the restroom in privacy. The beds were the most uncomfortable we encountered during our travels, despite this being the only luxury hotel we stayed in; the others were more like Holiday Inns. We were looking forward to the pool, but the waterfall feature was never turned on, and the indoor hot tub was out of order. Overall, our stay was disappointing. **Rooms:** The rooms were spacious and well laid out, but unfortunately, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom didn’t lock, and the cabinet handles kept coming off when we tried to use it for the refrigerator. **Nearby Activities:** There are beautiful trails nearby for hiking and exploration. **Walkability:** While there are other hotels and a convenience store close by, this resort felt somewhat isolated."

"This place is now called the Grand Steakhouse and I don't think I have ever had a meal that was so awful. We were staying at the Best Western which was just recently renovated and read a review here saying the restaurant was under new management so we thought we would stay local and enjoy a nice dinner. I was looking for a something light and healthy so I ordered the salmon. You should never have to use a knife when eating salmon. Even the rice it came with was shockingly overcooked and tasted like watery paste. The asparagus was fine but none of the dish had any sort of flavor except for a small pat of butter which even had no taste to it. My husband ordered the ribs and again, he had to use a knife to separate the meat from the bone and he said the sauce tasted like pizza sauce. The only redeeming part of the meal was our son's burger and fries. Not outstanding but not awful either. We also received great service from our waiter. These three dishes and a glass of wine ended up costing us $85!! I realized later, the salmon and ribs were probably cooked in a microwave which would explain why they were so tough and the salmon had no color to it. To add insult to injury, I found out after we had left that they overcharged me for my under-filled glass of white wine. I am the type of person that doesn't like to complain but after paying so much money for food that was basically inedible and then being overcharged for my wine, I felt I had to let the restaurant know about the issues. There were only two people working that evening. Our waiter and whoever was in the kitchen. I let the waiter know about the overcharge and the how disappointing our food was. He called the owner to see what to do about refunding the difference on the wine. As it turns out, it was their POS system that had the price wrong. The only solution the waiter could offer was to give me the difference from his own pocket!! I told him I was not about to take his money as he did his job well and shouldn't have to suffer because the computer system was messed up. He said it was the only solution he had unless I wanted to wait until they could update the computer system and then they could refund my credit card but this could take a while! I told him it wasn't worth the $3 to wait for all of that but I wanted to stress that there was a problem with the food and with their POS system and they needed to be addressed. I can't speak for their breakfast service as we refused to spend another dime there after our dinner experience. If you want a ho hum expensive burger try this place, otherwise, pass."
