"This restaurant serves the best pizza in the area. It is so popular that they are only open for about 5 or 6 hours per day. Every time I go in to pick up a pizza, there is always another customer in front of me and another behind me as I leave. They even close for a vacation every year, which is a testament to their success. It just shows that when you have a great product that sells well, you can afford to take time off."

"Food used to be great in prior months but we had two bad visits in a row these last two weeks.The first of those two visits was food that was supposed to be but was not at all spicy. Even my wife agreed with that view, and she thinks bland food, by my and my son 's perspective, is spicy. The owner, whom we met for the first time that day, told us we had to specifically request our order spicy, which was a first.The greens on the above day were also not as expected. We 've had them soft and leafy here before, but that time they were full of rough stems. The greens ' buttery flavor was also sorely lacking, as if their preparation was rushed.That first and today 's second of two visits also served us cubed beef when we ordered, just as we have always ordered from here, it minced. Plus, today 's cubed beef had four(! large, terribly gristly cubes. It was, like our prior visit 's flavor and greens, a first. We thought perhaps there was a new cook who made mistakes but found out he was not.We hope for better luck next time, when we will specifically ask for spicy, minced beef. We will return any beef not cooked that way.And we do not know if we will take another gamble with the greens.But we will have the coffee!"

"Okay so food was outstanding BUT, it was eerily quiet in the restaurant. Even with other tables present no music or anything to provide a little background noise. It almost felt uncomfortable to talk because it was like everyone would be able to hear our conversation. Service was average. Not necessarily what you would expect for this price point but it wasn’t bad. Mixed drinks were horrendous and over-priced. They have a huge drink menu and out of the we ordered at the table no one liked theirs. Proportions were off and flavors were just a miss. My suggestion. Narrow the drink menu down to and have the bartenders just get good at perfecting those. Also for a basic Manhattan is absurd. This is by no means on the level of a Gibsons or Mastros where you would expect those prices. Just my"

"Granted, I can be a tough critic, but I have had some incredible dining experiences that keep my expectations high. That said, I was eager to visit Ivy, as it's been on my list to try for a long time. When we arrived for our 10 am seating for brunch, 5 minutes early, they were still setting up. We were not seated until 10 minutes later, and then still needed to wait until all the brunch stations were up and running. The atmosphere was good, plenty of space between tables, and cozy with the fireplace. The stained glass alcove was beautiful. The food was just okay and there was nothing on the buffet that really wow'd me. I will say the orange juice was delicious! The price was fair for a buffet, but I was unimpressed with the selection and left feeling that my overall experience was a little disappointing."
