"When I first moved to the area, I saw the restaurant's flyer multiple times and decided to give it a try, hoping for a cozy atmosphere and homemade food like a charming countryside café. I was pleasantly surprised by The Letter Drop restaurant. My wife and I chose this place for our anniversary dinner. The exterior may be unassuming, but the interior is quite charming. We started off with appetizers - speck-wrapped prawns with hoisin sauce, cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce. I opted for the Letter Drop salad with a delicious herb vinaigrette, made in-house. For my main course, I tried the Sortenschild - quail stuffed with wild rice and pine nuts, along with wild boar and venison filet. The dish was accompanied by crunchy glazed red carrots and seasonal vegetables. I paired it with a Robert Mondavi Cabernet, the house wine. My wife ordered the duck, which was tender and flavorful. For dessert, we shared a chocolate and coffee ice cream cake, and I enjoyed a cup of coffee. The Letter Drop restaurant offers a truly gourmet dining experience. The menu, atmosphere, service, and food are all exceptional. Considering that everything is made from scratch in-house and with limited staff, the restaurant is more than just extraordinary - it is truly amazing. Visitors should definitely make a reservation beforehand. If you live nearby and haven't dined here yet, you owe yourself the experience of this fantastic restaurant."

This restaurant offers the finest in fine dining with attention paid to every detail. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. We ordered the prime rib with roasted potatoes, seasonal veggies, and a house salad, and the portions were very generous. If you haven't yet made the trip to Rosita to dine at this charming inn, you are truly missing out on a wonderful experience. View menu

I visited this restaurant while conducting research in Rosita and I am glad I did! It is very friendly and has a historic ambiance. The ribeye with sauce was delicious, as were the sides. The people were very friendly and I enjoyed talking about the history of Rosita with them. It's a shame that a storm was rolling in, or else I would have stayed longer! I hope to visit again in the future.

This small restaurant is truly a hidden gem and deserves more stars than I can give. Open seasonally from mid April to mid October, it offers 5-star food in the charming town of Rosita, CO. The drive to get there is beautiful and adds to the overall experience. The menu includes perfectly cooked duck, venison, trout, wild boar, and more. My friends and I make the hour-long trip at least twice a season and have never been disappointed. It's a fantastic dining experience all around.

I first noticed the Letter Drop restaurant as I passed by a few times after moving to the area. I decided to stop in and give it a try, thinking it might be a cozy country cafe with homestyle cooking. To my surprise, the Letter Drop was actually a fine dining experience. My wife and I went there for our anniversary dinner and were impressed by the unassuming exterior and charming interior. We started with bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizers, followed by a fresh salad and a variety plate featuring quail, wild boar sausage, and venison filet with delicious sides. The house wine was a perfect complement. My wife enjoyed the duck, and we shared a decadent chocolate and coffee ice cream cake for dess... View menu

"We are always on the lookout for unique food, and we found just that at this restaurant. The "Gruss Gott" pizza, inspired by German flavors, was a hit for us with German sausage, sour wort, swash, sneak, and other delicious ingredients. We also tried the spicy Hawaiian pizza, which was a perfect balance of sweet and warming flavors. It was refreshing to see a pizza restaurant not overload their toppings. The starter of spinach dip and bread was above average, with a creamy artichoke dip and perfectly roasted bread providing a good mix of textures. However, there were missteps in the service department. It was disappointing to see people who arrived after us get served before us while waiting for our food. Unfortunately, this pattern continued throughout our meal. The waiter was not rude, but they were often not present, which was frustrating. The meal started off well, with the waiter informing us that the wings we ordered would take 30 minutes. We decided to order the artichoke dip to help pass the time. Thirty minutes later, our wings arrived, and the waiter said they would check on our pizza. However, they never came back to update us. After waiting for quite some time, our pizza finally arrived. By that point, another couple who arrived after us had finished eating and left. We had to flag down a waitress for a to-go box. The food was delicious, and we will definitely return for the great flavors. Hopefully, next time the service will be better. Overall, we rated our experience as 3 stars due to the combination of great food and poor service."
