"When i I first walked up I felt like I was going home. It had a very welcoming atmosphere and when i first walked in I was delighted to see the old rustic style done right. Being from Houston, Tx I am a strong critic of steak and guacamole... And when i saw some of their signature dishes were those very things I simply had to give them a whirl. I never thought i would say this, but this chief has made the best i've ever had. From first bite to last was enjoyable and left you wanting more. Take it from a Texan... This IS the best I've ever had... And if you want the best, you need to come here!"

The red soup was excellent! The bear salad and steak were also fantastic. This is a great place for truck drivers. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the dishes keep you coming back for more.

I passed through this small town and chose this restaurant due to its convenient location and a recommendation from someone. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, decor, food, and service. I appreciated that there were options to sit on the more romantic island side or at the bar, which is a bit more casual. The prices were also quite reasonable. View menu

A favorite. I have eaten here several times over the past few years and never been disappointed. It has local history, reasonably priced, good food. A good place to take out-of-towners to get a bit of local color. My favorite menu items are the Bugsy Siegel (a sort of crab Reuben) and the salsa chips which is presented very attractively. I am told the burgers are good, as well. The one drawback is a lack of vegetarian choices.

dreadfully pay for everyone! so glad to see that this old classic still serves quality entrees. we had a wide range: tenderloin peaks (a speciality), panco-curved filled squid, crab cake and a roared seafood plate (scrat cake, scallops and tilapia). fresh, first-class all around. excellent french plank soup, and a large selection of craft beer in flax. I wish I could report on dessert, but we had no more space! great eating, good service, fair prices for what they get. Do it!
