"1) We didn’t visit another location; we used this listing to find the restaurant because it was close to our first stop. 2) If there were other tables being served, they must have been in some alternate reality that nobody else was aware of. 3) None of this excuses the poor service we experienced. Your argument seems to imply that your restaurant can't manage four tables and that you’re blaming the customers for it. If that's the case, hire more staff. We came very eager to have lunch here, arriving just before noon, and found the restaurant completely empty. There was no host or hostess, no bartender, and no staff in sight. Another customer was waiting as well and asked if we had seen anyone. Eventually, we spotted someone coming out from a back room, but we weren’t even acknowledged. I inquired if they were open, and they replied yes but quickly rushed off. We won't be coming back."

I love this place. Some of the best bar food in town and the drinks are well prepared.

We went here for my husbands birthday last night and all I can say is WOW! This was likely the best meal I’ve ever had in Raleigh. I got the Beef Wellington (which was spectacular , my husband split the tomahawk steak with a friend, another friend ordered the burger, and they were all so impressed. We also ordered one of all of the sides and four orders of the rolls(yes, 4 View menu

I was out walking my dog and decided to stop for early dinner at the Oak. My server, Tyler, was very informative about different cocktails and menu items. Dog friendly patio, delicious drinks (I had the Trouble in paradise). For dinner I had their seasonal summer caprese. The tomatos and peaches were so ripe and in season, the pita was made in house, and the chicken cooked seasoned perfectly.

The drinks were fantastic, the vibe was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderfully inviting! Glenn was undoubtedly the best bartender; I let him pick my drinks for the whole evening, and he hit the mark every single time. The food was delicious, but the portions were a bit on the smaller side, which left me feeling a little hungry. Overall, I would rate it a 5 out of 5. I will definitely return!

Food was good, the shrimp tapas is great. Ordered NY strip that was good. Chef extracted as much flavor of that steak as he could but I'd love it if they had a ribeye! List of bourbons to match best of the best bars in town. Kudos to the spicy Wild Turkey selection and old fashioned. Servers were probably the best in town (and I've been to many bourbon bars). Everything excellent. Recommend and I'll be back!! View menu

We had a fantastic dinner filled with great drinks. Our server, Tyler, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the different bourbons available, which made us feel very welcome. We sampled a bourbon flight, along with Trouble in Paradise and Mother’s Milk, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The house salad with chicken was a generous size for sharing, and the birria tacos and bourbon sliders were deliciously indulgent. We absolutely can't wait to return the next time we’re in Raleigh.

My daughter recently treated me to a birthday lunch at this restaurant, and it was truly fantastic! We had a party of eleven, and everyone loved their meals. I went with the Chicken Sliders, which were delightful. The other dishes looked incredible as well, and everyone was pleased with their choices. The Mimosas were wonderful, and I particularly enjoyed the Gin There, Done That cocktail. To make the celebration even more special, we were gifted complimentary donuts for my birthday, which were equally delicious! The staff was friendly and attentive during our entire visit. I highly recommend this place!

"I've been to the new Irregardless twice now. Once for a rather disappointing late brunch and a second time for a fabulous welcome back to town dinner. Their prices have definitely risen to The point where I won't be able to visit as much as I used to (and they also don't know what Eastern versus Western BBQ is, but I won't hold that against them). They're very conscious about vegan options and the dishes are still as high quality as I remember them being under the old management. Disappointed not to see any Raleigh brewing on the draft menu but the drink menu was very good. I got the most expensive vegan option of course. A North Carolina BBQ prepared maitake mushroom on mashed potatoes with a gorgeous, perfect amount of broccoli. Now the fiction kitchen has an Eastern BBQ plate which I love So I was very surprised when it showed up with a ketchup/tomato-based sauce. It was delicious Even though it was a western NC style barbecue sauce. Haha (My mom got the salmon The time blackberry cheesecake was divine. I hope they keep that one around because I'm definitely coming back for another slice. I'm happy to report that the staff are excellent, warm, friendly, and professional. Our waitress was friendly and delighted to answer all of our questions since we hadn't been for dinner yet. Brunch, the music was a little loud and by the time we actually got a table they were out of everything we wanted to order which is a little disappointing and speaks to poor planning. We did get was small but delicious. Not sure I would try brunch again unless I was really hankering for their brunch specifically and if so I would get a reservation a week ahead of time. As a person who's gone to this specific restaurant for over 2/3 of their life, I'm just glad that it's still exists and is in such good hands. I just hope they read up a little bit more on barbecue in North Carolina. And make more vegan things"
