"El Manzanillo in Cashiers consistently offers excellent service and delicious food! It’s a very kid-friendly restaurant that children absolutely love. Accessibility is also great, as there is a level entry from the parking area into the restaurant. I dined in for dinner and found the prices to be quite reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all earned a perfect score of 5. I highly recommend trying the Chips and Salsa, Quesadilla, Beef Hardshell Tacos, Rice or Beans, and the Texas Fajitas."

"Food Very Good, Table Service Very Good, But the Greeting was not welcoming and can be improved. We had a good dinner there. The food was very good. I had the Onion Soup, which was good, but not great (A little salty), My trout entree and mygirlfriend's grilled pork chop dinner were excellent. The house salad was also excellent with nice fresh ingredients. I triedcalling several times during the day to see if reservations were advisable and no one answered the phone. They offer pick-up,but how can one place an order when no one answers the phone? Also, the hostess was not friendly and short when we arrived -not a welcoming vibe. She spoke to us more like employees than customers. There are also no seats for people waiting for atable, except for at the bar. Once we were seated, our waitress was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The prices werereasonable. Given the quality of the food and the service provided by our server, we will return. If I were the owner, I wouldwork on the greetings people get when they arrive and be sure that someone answers the phone. After all, this is a patron'sfirst impression."

"We enjoyed the food, especially the truffle tots, which were deliciously salty—just the way we like them. We also tried the fajita bowl and the shrimp teriyaki bowl, and the shrimp bowl was definitely our favorite in terms of flavor. Our main issue was that the protein portions in the bowls were on the smaller side. For $14, we mainly got well-seasoned rice and vegetables. The dessert was a bit disappointing too; we paid $7 for exactly six donut holes and some Hershey syrup. The staff were lovely and provided wonderful service, but overall, it felt a bit overpriced, especially since we didn't leave feeling full."

"My husband and I dined at this restaurant on New Year's Eve in 2016 during their grand opening under new ownership and menu. We were part of a group of 14 people and had an amazing experience. The food and service at this establishment are the best in the Cashiers-Sapphire-Highlands-Lake Toxaway area. The restaurant is located in a converted house setting with two lovely fireplaces, but the ambiance could be improved by incorporating more of a mountain feel, as the off-white walls and modern eclectic wall art feel a bit flat and not very romantic. However, the food and service more than make up for it. Our group tried almost half of the menu and loved everything we ordered. My husband enjoyed the crab-citrus salad and pot roast, while I indulged in the Jerusalem artichoke-parsnip soup and lobster-shrimp risotto with crispy Brussel sprouts. For dessert, we shared the white chocolate moonshine creme brûlée, which was a perfect ending to a perfect meal. I highly recommend this restaurant, as Chef Johannes is truly a master of his craft. It's now my new favorite spot to dine!"
