"The bruschetta was burnt during my second order, and this has happened twice now. As for wheelchair accessibility, I've visited multiple times, and each time, no one offers to hold the heavy door for us. They see us approaching and do nothing to help. It's quite disappointing, especially considering that there are four of us in our group who are over 70 and have disabilities. We could really use some assistance when entering or exiting the restaurant."

"this restaurant offers a refreshing positive view of the training and the walk with the staff. we are regular mosses of buona’s and enjoy their food - all of the famous bark meats (my favorite is to salute the bark sausage dish. but what triggered this evaluation is the enormous service of the team in buona- from register to the kitchen to the young man who bagged and presented our order, they smiled, attentive and seemed happy to do their work and happy that we chose their restaurant. restaurant work is a hard gig and people to find that know as clearly as it seems to be doing and enjoying right, gives me respect for them and for the management team they hired and trained. well done!"

"On The Border is one of my favorites Mexican restaurants in our neighborhood. On Sunday evening I had ordered one of my favorites dishes grilled shrimp and carnitas fajitas and signature Queso. OMG!!! This was out of this world and so tasty. The way the chef cook Juan Hernadez prepared the dish was second to none. I called the restaurant to thank over the phonefor this delicious dinner. "I had ordered food off their website for delivery via Door Dash. Well the Dasher delivered the wrong order to me. I called the restaurant and I had spoken to a very nice girl I did not get her name unfortunately but who ever was working the counter around 2:30pm on 7/18/2023 is amazing she offered to deliver the food to me because I could not leave work to grab it myself. They went above and beyond to correct the mistake and I greatly appreciate it. I have eaten here many times and always is a great experience and this time was no different once the issue was corrected. Dietary restrictions: They offer Gluten Free Bread"

"I’ve lived in “Old Algonquin” for 4+ years and have always considered this place a neighborhood institution.The appetizers were always delicious. The cheese curds calamari were always my favorite.For dinner, I always would go with the Patty Melt, substitute tater tots. It was always extremely filling, cooked perfectly medium-rare, and the bread toasted and crisp.We always enjoyed dining outside on a gorgeous day in “Old” Downtown Algonquin.The winter came and went. We recently ordered delivery as the weather was terrible and it wasn’t walkable. I live in the apartments within view. You can easily walk it on a nice day.My father and I both ordered the patty melt with tater tots. I’ve never been so disappointed in my life. Something has changed in a big, bad way here.The food isn’t the same. The patty melt was one big lump of dry, overcooked ground beef. They refused to allow me to order it medium or medium rare. It was cooked well done to a crisp.The bread was extremely soggy and the tater tots were WAY over cooked. Our dinners went into the garbage.We also got curds and the calamari. The calamari clearly changed. It’s tough and just terrible.There were rumors the business was sold. I can’t vouch for that. I can tell you something has changed. The food is terrible. Reviews are beginning to slide in a bad direction.If it was sold, I’d suggest the new owner return to what we know and love. Otherwise, you will not last here.I may give it another try down the road. However, for now food is too expensive to throw away.I truly hope they return to what I and others are used to.Parking: Paid Parking Lot on Front Street next to Texan BBQ.Free Street Parking Along the Downtown Algonquin area."

"I am honestly SHOCKED at how many reviews claim that this restaurant is clean. The fan was CAKED in dust. The walls and air vents had very visible dust on them, walls had splatters, tables were sticky. I am not a clean freak, but as I waited for myfood, I was noticing more and more cleanliness issues. Also? no AC. The staff was rude, they slammed some trays down in front ofus when we forgot to grab them. I ate here because my boyfriend and I read the reviews and thought it would be a good place togo. The food was fine. Some of the proteins looked really questionable. But overall, I have no clue how so many people rate thisplace as clean and fresh. The price point is great, and I saw a lot of families there enjoying their time. I am aware in thiseconomy that their price point is super approachable for lots of people, but cleanliness is still something that should beaccessible as well."

"Looks like churros but no. The taste of churros is not quite there. Sams Club had churros at one point. These taste just a tad better. The Sams Club churros were bad. These churros crumble too dry(? . Taste more like donut bread w a hint ofchurros. The restaurant is nicely laid out. Plenty parking. Wait time for order is long. And I was the only customer atthe time. Churros are made to order probably hence the longer wait."

"I had a great time dining at this restaurant, particularly enjoying the hot dishes. The culinary experience felt authentically traditional, and the entrance adorned with a koi fish pond was a nice touch. However, I found it a bit annoying to be interrupted by a server or staff member every 20 minutes, as it made the atmosphere feel somewhat crowded. Overall, I would definitely come back. "UPDATE! My partner Charles and I visited again last night (April 13, 2022) and both ordered the PIG OUT TAVERN DOUBLE. It was an awesome burger, but the highlight was the phenomenal service! My order was incorrect, and the shift manager promptly corrected it without any fuss. I couldn’t have been happier! The staff here are such a nice bunch! I can’t wait to return! Also, we enjoyed three servings of BOTTOMLESS FRIES. Next time, I'm definitely trying the BANZAI BURGER! It's been a while since Charles and I dined with Red Robin—since 2015, actually! I couldn't decide between the SOUTHERN CHARM BURGER or the BANZAI BURGER, originally leaning toward the Banzai, but at the last moment, I went for the SOUTHERN CHARM BURGER without onions. It was an amazing burger, packed with flavor! I also love their WHISKEY RIVER BBQ SAUCE!"

"I should have read the reviews before we attempted to bring our business to BOLD American Fare.. Well, the only thing that truly stands out is their BOLD, rude, arrogant customer service. The manager was not at all interested in hosting our party of 8. They should have it in BOLD letters on their website that they Do Not serve bigger parties. That was our second attempt at trying BOLD American Fare,and we will not be back. Even if our party size shrinks, there is no way we will expose ourselves to such an unpleasantness ever again."

"We live very close to the restaurant but this was our first time trying it as we previously frequented a different hibachi establishment. I read reviews on this restaurant which looked promising. My birthday is a week after my fiancé’s so we wanted to celebrate together, my mother, father and brother took the two of us and our year old daughter yesterday. I had made the reservations and requested a chef that was repeatedly praised online. When we arrived we were seated right away with friendly faces. The staff was amazing and so sweet. We did get the chef I had heard such good things about, his name is ROI. He was absolutely fantastic. He made our experience fun and definitely memorable! Very talented on his craft and personable. Had the entire family laughing and smiling the entire time, especially our year old, that really warmed our hearts. The waitress was happy to take our pictures and laugh with us as well! Everyone was great. The food is absolutely fantastic! The restaurant is clean and beautiful. Side note, thank you as well to the lovely couple who sent us the pina colada’s for everyone at our table to help us celebrate! Thank you again Roi and everyone who helped make our celebration special. We will definitely be dining here often"

"This is my kind of fast food! I give Sonic's drive-in a thumbs up. I have no complaints about the items I ordered—it's exactly what I expected for the price. My favorite dishes to order are the foot-long chili dog, the grilled cheese sandwich, and the zets. The shakes also have a delightful aroma. My order was prepared quickly, and there's a wide variety on the menu. The food was excellent and made fresh, with good quality. The staff was very polite and made sure my order was correct. "I ordered one of the restaurant's specialties, Orange Chicken, and drove over to pick it up. Unfortunately, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes, bringing my total wait time to 50 minutes. When I finally got my order and drove home, I discovered it was not Orange Chicken at all—it was Beef and Broccoli instead. I double-checked my receipt to confirm that I had indeed ordered Orange Chicken. Not wanting to drive back and wait again, I decided to just eat the Beef and Broccoli, but I was disappointed to find that the beef was mushy and lacked flavor. Overall, it was a big letdown."

"We were a party of 6 the Friday evening we were there. There were only 3 other tables filled when we arrived about 6 pm. We got seated and were given menus quickly, but the rest of our service was less than what we expected. Our waitress mentioned that she usually worked behind the bar, but taking orders because they were short staffed that night. When drinks came, one was missing. We had to remind them 2 more times that we were waiting for an ice tea. Our food orders were taken and came out in a normal amount of time, except one order was missing completely. Apologies were made and the order was delivered after 5 of us had finished eating. I had a Taco salad that tasted great, except that the taco shell it was overdone and was not edible. During our dinner, other diners arrived and were waiting to be seated. The message on the chalk board at this dining room entrance (there were other rooms) said wait to be seated. It took a while before a waitress showed up and told this new party to sit anywhere. After that, when new diners showed up, we told them to seat themselves. We did that 4 times. Other than my taco shell being inedible, everyone said they enjoyed their food. Four had fish and one had a turkey dinner. Prices were good and offset some of the service issues."

"This restaurant is wonderful for celebrating a special occasion. Our booth was very comfortable for our party of 4. We started with the Spicy Tuna Tartar, and Goat Cheese Croquettes appetizers. Both were delicious! For dinner we enjoyed the Duet Beef Tenderloin Tips with bacon wrapped Jumbo Scallops, New Zealand pistachio crushed Lamb Rack, Short Ribs, and the Scottish Crusted Salmon. Special thanks to the Chef for preparing the Salmon gluten-free! Our grand finale was a wonderful Creme Brule, and their special ice cream with fruit and whipped cream toppings. The birthday candy was a very nice touch! Overall, highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!"

"This is another chain that cares more about the money than anything else. The quality of the burgers used to be good but that was years ago, I took my wife to dinner this evening and this is what she picked and the food was terrible. My wife took a bite of her burger and that was all she had asked for medium rare, they burnt it to a crisp alongside the burger I ordered. The waitress didn’t offer to take the burger when my wife brought it to her attention nor did she let us speak to a mgr. none of that the waitress just said oh sorry and charged me for it anyway. Along with everything prices go up these days but that doesn’t mean the quality needs to suffer. next time I want a burger? I’ll go to the assembly in Dundee at least they can get the order correct!"

"While exploring the Fox Lake area, we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant, and my husband and I are so glad we did! The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. We particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka kabob, which was outstanding. We also tried the green chicken curry, and it was just as tasty. If you're looking to experience authentic Pakistani-Indian cuisine, you simply must visit this place. The owners are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Don’t forget to try their Karachi Limca—it's really refreshing!"
