Chicken Fresco was excellent. Bartender was very attentive. Will come here again and try something else.

As for kid-friendliness, the waitstaff was very accommodating and engaging with our lively little ones, providing extra crayons and chatting with them.

Crowded to sit inside. We had a party of 5 and was not very comfortable sitting. Cobb salad was very good. Side of fries was small. Drink selection is very limited for non-alcoholic. Our group had an amazing experience at Cattleman’s last night. The food was delicious, the servers and owners were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely. Many in our group ordered the ribs and absolutely loved them. We will certainly be coming back to this wonderful gathering spot!

I've been to Cattlemens about three times now. Two other times just for standard cocktails. The bartender was very nice. The Cobb salad was excellent, ample with homemade ranch and blue cheese. The grilled chicken pieces within the salad was generous too. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in there and street parking to be a bit tricky. I give this place 3.5 stars.

We took my wife's business partner out for her birthday. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was dry and pieces were so hard that I thought I had a chicken bone in my mouth. We are our food and moved on. When I got the electronic receipt, the pork sandwich was $2 more that in the menu or online. Now I wish I would've checked all the other meals. $2 isn't going to kill me but not sure how this happens and if they're doing it on several items, not cool. Check your bills. View menu

This was our first time and we were really satisfied with the food, price, and service from our waiter. He brought refills before we had to ask, he checked in on us often and was kind enough to make sure the kitchen didn't have nuts because our son has a food allergy.We had curds, wings, and burgers amongst the family. My son has autism and going to restaurants can be really difficult but we chose to try this place because the the booth option and lower ceilings. With 4 meals, appetizer and 4 drinks, and a box full of leftovers, we spent about $64 before tip which is a great deal for a family night out. My kids loved the crayons and coloring sheets and the music. We will definitely be back....

After a fantastic first visit earlier this week, we decided to return. This time, however, we encountered a server who was quite abrupt and informed us that the restaurant closes at 10 PM, even though the Google listing states it closes at midnight. During our previous visit, the kitchen indeed closed at 10 PM, but we had an excellent server who positively influenced my experience and rating. While it’s perfectly fine for a business to close early, it would be helpful for them to communicate this to customers rather than providing incorrect information about their regular hours. I’ve lived in “Old Algonquin” for 4+ years and have always considered this place a neighborhood institution.The appetizers were always delicious. The cheese curds calamari were always my favorite.For dinner, I always would go with the Patty Melt, substitute tater tots.
