"Hands down the best place I've eaten in Appleton in years. We had the fettuccine Alfredo and the Scottish salmon with toffee cake for dessert. We also had a cocktail before dinner. The food was moderately priced but tasted Michelin 5 star. The atmosphere is chic casual and a great place for a date or special occasion or not. The service was good but honestly who cares if the food is this amazing? We will definitely eat here again. I didn't ask about catering but would definitely cater a party or business meal if that was an option. They do have a room for groups as well."

"I visited for the first time with my husband and daughter on Saturday, and I must say, I have never tasted a burger like the crab burger before. It was incredibly delicious! We loved it, and the staff were exceptionally nice and friendly. I can't remember the name of the person who recommended the crab burger to me, but thank you so much! The atmosphere of the place is amazing, and I can't wait to return soon."

"Food was great. I had a reservation for 10 people at 7:30pm on Saturday. We where about 8-10 minutes late to the reservation due to unexpected lack of parking in the area. Waitress seemed irritated with us from the start after I apologized to her for being late. Did not ask what our reservation was for but it was my birthday and I had people from out of town visiting me and was so excited about the night. Typically when you have a big group of people and can sense excitement, waitstaff will match your energy and celebrate with you, unfortunately I did not get that experience. She was somewhat friendly but after asking her how we could split the check she acted like my questions really bothered her. We spent $771 and tipped the 20% that was automatically charged to us I would have tipped more if service was better but I genuinely felt guilty for being there, which wasn’t a good feeling. Multiple people in my group made comments about how they feel like we where inconveniencing our waitress just by being there.I 100% understand maybe she was just having a stressful night but I’ve been in the service industry a long time and I would be excited for a big table spending hundreds of dollars and tipping roughly $160.I have been to this restaurant once before and came back specifically for the food. I am posting this to hopefully remind staff that customers are spending a lot of money and even if someone is younger or has a big group doesn’t make us an inconvenience (some people in my group thought maybe they wrote us off because we are in our 20s? Not sure but could have been a factor). None the less we are paying customers.I am not planning on again coming to this restaurant with how many options we have in this area because even with great food, the service did not justify the price. I will add a new review to the restaurant if they respond in anyway to me about this complaint*disclaimer I typically never post anything like this but I really felt the need to explain this situation"

"We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The pizza and service were both top-notch. Our waiter was honest and helpful in answering our questions about the food and drinks. We would rate the service a 5 and the food a 5 as well. The atmosphere was also great, earning a 4 out of 5. Overall, a highly recommended dining experience."

"I dined here recently. There seemed to be only three people running the place but it's small. Although they looked short on staff service was VERY friendly and fast and everything got done in a timely manner (no line at the register, tables cleaned right away after customers left, etc. . Although food selection is small, the flavors make up for it. One or two for selections were on the saltier side(green beans but I personally didn't mind all that much. Also, there were bins of dirty dishes ON THE FLOOR leading to the back, like when they collect the plates from the tables with napkins and everything you throw away and put them in the gray rectangular plastic bins, about 6 or 7 gray bins stacked on top of each other. I've never seen that EVER so it left an impression lol. Overall, for the price and taste and friendly service, I would go back."

"We ordered one sandwich and two bowls of soup. After 1/2 hour of waiting we were given one wrong item, potato salad instead of a soup. Waiter said the cook would “make the soup now”. How do you have it on the menu but not made ahead? Both bowls were barely warm. The potato soup was so heavily seasoned it was inedible. Spoke to manager and they did nothing for us. I told them we were not paying for the one bowl and would never come back. Guess they were too busy getting ready for a big party in back rather than take care of customers. Awful service, mediocre food at best. I still left the inexperienced waiter a 20% tip. Will never go there again. It used to be a great restaurant."

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The waitstaff were warm and welcoming, and the food was incredible. It was my first visit, and our waitress, Liz, even informed the owner, Mark, about us. He stopped by our table to see if we had any questions about the menu. We had a pleasant chat, and he shared some of his favorite dishes before moving on. This personal touch really impressed me, as it's not something you see often in restaurants. In the end, I ordered a filet mignon, cooked exactly how I wanted it, and everything was served hot. Liz was attentive, ensuring that everything was to our liking. I never had to worry about my drink being empty or where my waitress was because she was always nearby. We never felt rushed during our meal, even while we lingered at the table chatting afterward. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning!"

"Dined outside on a beautiful day. Unfortunately a lot of bees around our table. Our server was friendly and courteous. Drinks and food were served promptly. Disappointed by the octopus dish. It was rubbery and chewy. Not my first time eating octopus and never rubbery and chewy. My husband enjoyed his burger though. The chocolate cake dessert was delicious."

"Took my 13 yo daughter here for her birthday on a Sunday night (2/6/22). We didn't have a reservation, but got there at about 4:30pm and we were able to be seated immediately. Server was great. Food was ok, but not worth what I paid IMO. My daughter got the prime rib princess cut, she loved it and it looked good. I got the 2 inch thick New York strip steak. I ordered it medium, half of it came rare, the other half was medium to medium rare. I understand it is an extra thick steak, but if you can't cook it properly then don't serve it. Couldn't really taste seasoning on it, because it is served with au jus (the au jus did not come on the side). I got one plate with my steak sitting in a puddle of liquid that was sloshing around, and another smaller plate for my baked potato. Presentation is part of the appeal of a $30+ steak, and this had very little. The salad and appetizers were really good though, and since I took most of the steak home I didn't complain about it being undercooked since I would be cooking it again anyways. My wife's dinner appeared to be cooked ok, she didn't have any major complaints. But for a $150 dinner bill with tip, I feel I should have a better experience. We may go back at some point to give them another try, but doubtful."

"This restaurant is fantastic! It's difficult to find a place that serves veggie dogs, but they not only have them (including Chicago style), they also don't have the rubbery texture that some veggie dogs do. The fries were delicious as well. The hot dog was perfectly topped and the bun wasn't soggy. They offer both Pepsi and Coke products, and I was able to get everything for less than $10. I ordered takeout and they remembered to include napkins, ketchup, and everything else I needed without me having to ask. Parking was a bit challenging due to the busy area, but it was worth it for the amazing food. This place is definitely doing something right!"

"Not only is this some of the best Thai and Vietnamese food that I've had, period, but there are great vegan options- the vegan pho is clearly labelled and super delicious (and enormous- be hungry, ready to share, or ready for leftovers and there's a note at the bottom of the menu clearly noting that most of their dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan, just ask (and the waitstaff is very knowledgeable about what that means). The other really standout option that I tried and was thought was sooooo delicious was the Vietnamese crepe, which I've never seen a vegan version of anywhere else (I had to double check that it was vegan, they assured me it was definitely try it!! Other than that we had the veg spring rolls (large, fresh, crisp, tasty peanut dipping sauce), one of the wide rice noodle dishes (flavorful, perfectly cooked veggies, yummy sauce), and for dessert the sticky rice with mango and coconut cream (so creamy and delicious, and the perfect amount of sweet). I wish I had photos but we ate everything too fast- definitely give this place a try if you're in the area, everything was amazing!!"

"Meal Type: Dinner Price Per Person: $30–50 I recently dined at this restaurant, and I highly recommend it for a delightful dinner. The Mediterranean Grouper was exceptional, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Don’t miss the Saganaki Flaming Cheese—it’s not only delicious but also a fun experience. The Peppered Lamb Tenderloin was tender and seasoned to perfection. I also enjoyed the refreshing Lemon Soup and the House Salad, which complemented the meal beautifully. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!"

"The Cozzy Corner features excellent soul food and Southern style comfort food. It's situated in Appleton's downtown area. We agreed that their ribs had the best flavor around. The price also being so reasonable, really makes the case for them. Don't sleep on the waffles either. I am getting one of those every time I go. They are flavor packed and have the most unusual yet amazing texture. Of course, chicken and waffles is the marquee waffle dish, but there's an entire page of other waffle options, (waffoptions). Our server was very helpful, and our food arrived in a timely manner. Presentation and food temperature was spot-on too. Now, the place is in tough shape, but the food definitely makes up for it. While there is some good ambiance, a remodel is still warranted. Can't wait to go back though. Oh yeah, I will get the fried okra again too. It's one of the side choices. Blues music playing in the background helps seal the deal as well. They got the Cozzy cure for my waffle blues."

"Very clean and knowledgeable staff. Great food. I am vegetaria and I do not eat the beyond meat. I ordered a chimichanga and mentioned above to the waitress and she said we can just substitute vegetables in place of meat-perfect for me! I have worked in restaurants off and on since I was 13 (parents owned a restauran) the staff worked so well together. I have a habit of putting dishes at the end of the table to see if anyone clears them, the dishes were gone in seconds. The food was great! some of the best Mexican I have ever eaten. My nieces live a hour and half away, they were wondering how they could get there husbands there for a meal."

"This place really has the BEST Mexican tacos in Appleton. The hand made tortillas add another layer of authenticity and flavor. I highly recommend tasting all the meats on their Tuesday special. In addition, they have tasty and creative cocktails like the mangoneada and the micheladas. Be warned that Tuesdays are extremely busy and you may have to wait but they're definitely worth it."

"I enjoy Tom's, as I've been going since a was a kid, but the burgers are always cold! Mozzerella sticks were still hard and not melted and marinara dipping saucewas cold like it just came from the fridge. Should be served warm. The only Tom's that servesconsistently hot food is in Appleton on Westhill Blvd. I literally will drive from Combined Locks (20 min drive each way) to goto that location when there are 2 that are only a 5 min drive. Not sure what the problem is with these other locations but, when I go out to eat and pay for my lunch or supper, I expect it my food to be hot NOT cold! We were on this side of town andfigured we'd give it another shot but same thing again so back to Westhill Blvd next time."

"Things seem a bit different in Wisconsin, at least to my eye. Draft is a lot of familiar pub style, but I don’t think this one has had its soul completely crushed out of it. I was interested in a few things on the menu, but I wanted a burger so that’s what I had. I paired it with an old fashioned. My girlfriend had a pasta dish with a coke. Hot dog was that a gorgeous old fashioned! Big ice sphere in there, and it had all the right garnishments. Delicious! I wish we could rave about our dinner the same way, but I’d be lying. I have an honest question: WHERE’S THE BEEF? All I got was a skinny, dismal runt of a burger patty that tasted more like sadness than anything. My girlfriend’s pasta dish was mediocre as well Our service was fantastic! I’m not dropping names, but my server was on top of everything. We didn’t complain about the food to her. She didn’t cook it, and we didn’t think anything else would be better. It seems the last bit of soul was crushed out of the kitchen and escaped to the bar. Go for a drink, leave the food. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"On my quest to hit up as many local cafes as possible this summer, I of course had to try Copper Rock and I'm so disappointed in myself for not stopping here before! I had stopped at the location by Appleton North a few times years ago, but only ever the drive through. This was so much better. The environment of cafes downtown just hit different, and I loved everything about my stop in at Copper Rock. I really loved the gallery room, and I think it's great that they have board games available to play in the gallery room too. Of course their coffee and baked goods are great too. The texture of my scone was absolutely perfect; not too hard, not too soft, and the perfect level of chewy. I will be coming back here repeatedly"

"Although the food was very delicious, we had encounter such poor service. As we enter into the restaurant they front lady had counted 5 adult and 2 kids under 2 years old. As two of the adult went to the bathroom before they seated us. They gladly had brought the remain of us to a single table that can one seated 4 people and one high chair. Of course we had told them that we have 5 adults and 2 kids and need one high chair. They had told us that they can not accommodate us. There were two table next to each other that are empty so we ask if we can combine the table together. The young girl who took us to the table asked one other lady and she say no and will not accommodate for us to sit together. I had ask we can take two table and that we don’t need to put it to together. The lady kept shaking her head no to us. Again, my brother in law ask the same question. The lady still shaking her head no. The young girl kept look at the other lady and say yes to us. We finally sat down. The whole time that we were there, the lady never looked at us or acknowledged that we as a customer is there. No sure if that lady is the owner or not but she stands there and watches the room. It is such a disappointment to see such a great restaurant to such amazing food to had bad customer service. If you or your family for family friendly restaurants, this is definitely not the place. Sorry to disappoint but they don’t accommodate more than 4 adults at this restaurant. By far this is one of the worst restaurants customers service that I’ve ever been to. Thank goodness we didn’t had the lady as our server."
