"Hands down the best place I've eaten in Appleton in years. We had the fettuccine Alfredo and the Scottish salmon with toffee cake for dessert. We also had a cocktail before dinner. The food was moderately priced but tasted Michelin 5 star. The atmosphere is chic casual and a great place for a date or special occasion or not. The service was good but honestly who cares if the food is this amazing? We will definitely eat here again. I didn't ask about catering but would definitely cater a party or business meal if that was an option. They do have a room for groups as well."

Did not know they were open for brunch. Thankfully Google maps told us. This was a great experience. Erin took great care of us. We had the salmon sashimi, salmon BLA and meatloaf sandwich. Sandwiches came with the most amazing white chicken chili.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the Fox Valley and my 2 all time. When you think of a spot on menu, this place won't disappoint you. If I could give it a higher rating I would.. I had the chicken Parmesan and my wife had the gnocchi and was amazing. Amazing job CHEFS!! View menu

Author’s is so cute and cozy! I absolutely love the decor and environment. The food is amazing! The bread pudding was absolutely delicious (not pictured) The empanadas are so good, the pastry is perfectly flaky and delicious. We got a lot of different things at lunch and everything was so good. Highly recommend!

Updated review still love Author’s but feel like they have the same empanada flavors every single time I go there. They used to also offer 2 rotating varieties and now it’s only 1. Every time I go there it’s mushroom Swiss. They used to have more inventive flavors such as a curry one a breakfast one. And a short rib one. Wish there was more variety Absolutely incredible food. Only wish their hours were more accessible for those who work full time.
