"My wife and I, who are local residents, have visited Thai Ginger Bistro several times in the past and have consistently enjoyed our dining experience. During our recent lunchtime visit, we brought friends from out of state to share in some delicious Thai cuisine. Both my wife and my friend's wife, who are both Thai and excellent cooks themselves, felt that their expectations were met. We each ordered different dishes from the menu, and even though the waitstaff seemed a bit overwhelmed with a nearly full house, the wait time was reasonable. Paiboon and Penny always excel at providing a wonderful cultural dining experience. Our friends loved both the food and the overall ambiance of the restaurant, and they said it’s an experience they will remember for a long time."

"This is the best Indian restaurant in the Fox Valley! We were recommended this place by a friend and we were not disappointed. The menu is quite extensive for a smaller restaurant, with great prices and large portions. We started with vegetable samosas and a few beers, which came with three different dipping sauces. The red sauce was my favorite, as it had a nice kick to it. The samosas had a crispy outer pastry and were filled with deliciousness. The lamb bhuna was $12.95 and the chicken tikka masala was $11.95, both served with a generous portion of white rice. We had enough to take home for lunch the next day, and it tasted even better reheated. The dishes can be ordered mild, medium, or spicy, but even the spicier options were quite tame in flavor. The restaurant used to offer a lunch buffet, but it was not available when we visited, possibly due to COVID-19 restrictions. The parking lot is shared with other businesses in a strip mall, but there is plenty of close parking available. There is an Indian grocery store next door if you want to recreate a dish you loved. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated with carpeted floors, but it adds to its charm, and the dining room was spotlessly clean."

"George's is one of the few true Steak Houses north of Milwaukee and the only one in the Fox Valley. We live in Oshkosh we're there is no Steak Houses and don't mind a 20 minute drive for a great steak. There were three of us tonight, Two had the Rib Eye tonight and it was perfect. It was so tender that it fell apart and could cut it easily. The other meal was the Friday Night Perch Special which was recently voted the best perch dinner in Northeast Wisconsin. As with the steaks everything was seasoned perfectly that nothing needed to be added. The waitress very friendly and was on top of her game and had refills on drinks brought as soon as our glasses were empty. There is a reason that this place has been around for as long as they have been and I will continue to keep coming back as long as they are open."

"Since enjoying numerous positive dining experiences at the downtown Katsu-ya branch, I decided to try out this branch. I visited here a few times to test consistency of the food and I have to say the quality holds up. For the Fox Valley area, I think this is the only restaurant where I 've nigiri, sashimi, and maki whose quality were on par with the ones I 've had when I 've been in Tokyo and downtown Los Angeles. The ingredients are fresh which greatly enhance the tasting experience. It was also to my delight that they had uni and that it was also fresh. The various times I 've been there, I 've had the omakase or on the menu 'nigiri and sashimi Chef Special '. I respect the thought the chefs put into selecting which fish would be best and the arrangements they have to make it as visually appealing as possible. To compliment the prime taste of the fish, their tea and their selection of sake pair well with the meal. I greatly thank the serving staff as they were knowledgeable in what pairings to offer along with explaining which fish the Chef served me. I think this is most well-managed sushi restaurant along with the Katsu-ya branch to grace the Fox Valley area. I never doubt the quality and this is a wonderful place for me to introduce my friends to the wonderful flavorful world of sushi."

"I highly recommend the meatballs; they are a must-try appetizer. However, if you’re like me, you might find yourself ordering them with extra meat sauce to accompany your pasta dinner on certain nights. Their lasagna and stuffed shells are fantastic, filled with cheese and spinach, all swimming in delicious fresh tomato sauce. And their pizza is truly exceptional, no matter how you like it. (We personally enjoy Luigi's Special.) The calzones are also delicious, and the salads are always fresh. Jo, I know you’re aware, but I genuinely appreciate everything you do to maintain the quality and freshness of the food. You’re doing an incredible job of continuing your dad's legacy and upholding the reputation of your restaurant. Thank you!"

"Our first experience with MACS was in Wisconsin Dells (by the Kalahari) and we were in love. When we got back to Appleton, we were excited to eat there again. Everything was good, but the portion sizes in the Dells were WAY better. We will probably only go back to the MACS in the Dells. If all locations had portion sizes like the Dells, I'm sure it would be our favorite place to eat!"

"I love this place I think it's one of the best places to get coffee in appleton. I go here all the time and the food is great as well. Every so often the staff is rude though? Either judging how I get my coffee because they think ordering coffee iced ruins it. A few times they have made my drink wrong and I've asked them to fix it and they get very snippy. I understand having an off day or making mistakes but it makes for a very unpleasant experience when you leave with a coffee you can't drink because it's too scary asking the barista to remake it."

"The friendly young woman at the counter took my order: - Two egg rolls (they're sold individually) - Two fresh shrimp spring rolls (also sold individually, served with a thick peanut-based sauce) - Panang curry with chicken (medium spicy) - Udon noodles with chicken Everything was delicious! Normally, I would share photos, but the takeout container didn't do justice to how good the food really is. Eating this at my office desk felt beneath the quality of the meal. While I waited, I noticed iced tea on the menu and added that to my order. I can't believe I didn't discover this style of iced tea sooner—it's refreshing and tasty, and I want to return for another before leaving Appleton. I’ve heard great things about the stuffed wings, but that was too much to tackle at my desk this time. Next visit! If you're in Appleton, definitely check this place out. Order more than you think you'll need—everything is just so good, and the prices are reasonable. Thank you, Mai!"

"If you want something new and different, you have to try Paninoteca. Amazing flavors. You must try the Italian sausage soup, it’s better than it sounds. One of the owners came to our table and introduced himself. They have some great menu options. Support local and try this place. You will not be disappointed."

"Serves diner type food. Service is always friendly. We are always looking out for the 20% off coupons in the Mail Saver. Typically, I go with my grandmother. The crowd is mostly older folks and don't typically see a lot of young families with little kids. There is a kids menu. Good place to get a bite to eat and socialize. There are sometimes short wait times- but plenty of space to sit if on a wait. They close at 2 daily, which is a bummer, but understandable. They do sell take home meals and soup in containers. Hope they stay in business for many years to come. The food was exceptional, earning a perfect score of 5 for its quality and flavor. The service was also great, with only minor room for improvement, which is why I gave it a 4. The atmosphere of the restaurant is inviting and enjoyable, making it a perfect spot for dinner. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit!"

"I have been searching the country for a german crispy pork shank. Chris and his staff offer a weekly special 21oz very crispy pork shank. It was truly special and tasted fantastic. It was baked too perfection. My wife loved the Oscar schnitzel, and my daughter loves their Rahm schnitzel. Their salmon is a work of art also, and that sauce is rich in flavor. Food: 5"

"Where do I start?! First off, the gyros are amazing hands down. We both ordered a Big gyro and it lives up to its name. Their falafels were delicious and if you like a little cilantro and chilies, order the S 'Hub, you won 't be disappointed. Picture the S 'Hub like a mint chutney but without the mint. Great flavor over all! Today was our first time coming in to order and from now on, we are ordering online. P.S. The Big was so big (How big was it?! , it was so big, I 'm finishing it tomorrow. And I 'm a big guy. Oh, can 't forget the Baclava! Delicious!! We are ordering it again."

"Went there for happy hour. Says 2 for 1 margaritas so we ordered margaritas. We questioned our bill which was $17 and were told the medium size margaritas aren't 2 for 1 after the fact. The bartender even heard us mention 2 for 1 when we ordered. On top of that the service was on the slower side. I will never go back."

"The sushi is quite good for the price, though I do find they tend to be a bit heavy on the rice. I would rank this as my second favorite sushi spot, and my top choice for hibachi. It may be pricier than other places, but the food is expertly prepared. My medium steak is actually cooked medium, my husband's rare steak is spot on, and my mom's well-done steak is cooked just as we requested. The sauce they serve is perfect. Their Philly rolls are delicious, the spicy tuna has just the right amount of kick, and their spider rolls are generously filled with crispy legs and thick chunks of crab meat. All three of my favorites are always done to perfection! When we sit at the bar to enjoy the sushi special, the service is consistently excellent. We've had a few less-than-great experiences at the hibachi, but those have mostly been related to the waitstaff rather than the cooks. Most of the issues have occurred at Nakashima's, the sister location in Appleton. One time at the hibachi, we received burned onions and sprouts because the cook went to find the waitress while the vegetables were cooking. By that point, the table had been over halfway through the meal with no rice or drink checks. It was quite disappointing, and we felt guilty about leaving a low tip since it’s a tip-share establishment. When the waitress finally returned, she still didn’t bring any rice. We ended up leaving without our ice cream, as she also vanished for another 15 minutes. Even the cook was puzzled about her whereabouts, as she wasn’t even attending to other tables – she was just missing. Despite a few hiccups, we’ve been there dozens of times, and most visits have gone well. Just a heads-up for the week of Christmas: my birthday is on the 27th, and every year they seem to be understaffed on weeknights. If my birthday falls on a weekend, things tend to run much more smoothly!"

"Far East Korean Japanese Cuisine exceeded our expectations in every way. The parking lot adjacent to the building provided ample space, making it convenient for us to access the restaurant. As soon as we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by Cody or Ted, both of whom served as excellent hosts throughout our visit. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience. The food itself was a true highlight, with every dish prepared to perfection. We highly recommend trying the Chicken and Tenderloin Bulgogi Appetizers, Tuna Tar Tar, Grilled Salmon, Scorpion Roll, Sake (Salmon), and the delightful Ginger Sauce. It's difficult to find anything we didn't enjoy during our meal. Far East Korean Japanese Cuisine has undoubtedly secured its place at the top of our go-to list for sushi and more!"

"This is about 50 feet from the house I grew up in... the building was previously.... like 500 failed businesses... Frio is the first....genuinely awesome thing I've ever seen here...and it...stands out. It changed the entire neighborhood for the better and.... it is a wonderful thing. Delicious everything. Friendly and energetic staff. Lovely decorations. I am happy that this place happened and I would strongly encourage a visit. 5stars isn't enough."

"The food was completely unappetizing and excessively greasy. It was so uninviting that we couldn’t finish most of our meals after just a couple of bites. The flavors lacked any real taste. To make matters worse, the service was rude, which only added to our disappointment. When we asked about the rum cake, we were informed that it wasn’t ready and they had no idea when it would be available. We had inquired about it before our meals arrived and honestly, we wouldn’t have ordered it anyway. I paid the bill, and for $50, I was extremely disappointed. I would never return to this establishment. I’m puzzled by the good reviews—perhaps they come from friends and family. Afterward, we went to another restaurant where we were treated well and enjoyed fantastic food. Don’t waste your hard-earned money here. While I love supporting local businesses, if the food is inedible, what’s the point?"

"I heard nothing but great things about their perch, I was excited that we were finally able to order it, my first positive thing was fish was hot and its how I like all my food to be steaming hot, I felt the breading was very dry and the fish lacked flavor, it had a dried out crunchy texture that was unappealing on the palette, I wasn't a fan of the tartar, I felt it was to chunky, and could be blended better, I think we are going to keep trying different places, til I find my favorite place and tartar!!! I look forward to the journey getting to my favorite Scuba Pourhouse, is next on my list to try and I'm excited to get there!!!"

"We dined at Spats tonight and were thoroughly impressed! Upon entering, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who promptly seated us. Our server, whose name I can’t recall, was brand new but was incredibly warm and delivered service like she had been there for years. We ordered a couple (well, several) of Brandy Sours, and they arrived quickly and were absolutely perfect. The addition of the roasted Brussels sprouts was a nice touch! Within just a few minutes, our Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque were served, and both were outstanding! My 9-year-old daughter loved the Clam Chowder so much that she wanted another bowl. The seafood plate and bluegill were both spot on—light, flaky, hot, and not greasy at all. I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. To the entire Spats team: you did a fantastic job tonight. Keep up the great work! You have a wonderful establishment!"
