Frio Mexican Treats

This restaurant is a must-visit for dessert lovers! While the food options are decent and a bit on the expensive side, the dessert offerings are absolutely exceptional.

Tasty! I typically don’t like really sweet desserts, but this had me curious. This place is a nice twist on dessert that you don’t normally see. If you are in the mood for a sweet treat, this is the place. A great place for sweet-tooths!

I love this place, so many vegan options and they are delicious! Everyone there is so friendly and nice, I always feel so welcomed there. The tamarindo mangoneada is my favorite so far, I love the tamarind straws. I can't wait to try all their vegan desserts. View menu

Great treats. The atmosphere is unique. Parking was challenging. Lots to take in once inside. Mixed reviews from our group due to those factors.... Younger gentlemen at the register was super friendly and helpful. A small sundae was more than enough. The churros were amazing! Will definitely go back.

This place is so friendly and kind! My grandson picked to go to Frio’s for his birthday treat! I happened to tell the young girl that waited on us it was my grandson’s birthday. They made my grandson a SPECIAL ice cream treat and put a candle in it and lit it. Thank you so much! The ice cream was so yummy!

This is the best Horchata I have ever tasted. The traditional elote was delicious and the caramel churros were just right. This is now my favorite dessert spot in the Fox Valley area. My son and I visited Frío for a special treat while we were in town. We absolutely loved it! The staff was incredibly kind, the atmosphere inside was festive and charming, they had lotería to play while we waited, and everything we tried was delicious. I ordered the Mexican mocha, which came with some of the best churros I've ever had, and the horchata was tasty and refreshing. We will definitely return to try their elotes.

Amazing delightful authentic sweets treats. You can dine in or take out. Nice spaced out indoor and outdoor seating. They offer an ice cream flavor of the month. Which is always a great mixed flavor! They have the most amazingly, delicious churros in the fox valley!! Don't forget They also sell foods, snacks, bags of coffee grounds, soda juice in cans/glasses, authentic Mexican clay mugs and much more! A LOCAL fox valley GEM!

This is about 50 feet from the house I grew up in... the building was previously.... like 500 failed businesses... Frio is the first....genuinely awesome thing I've ever seen here...and it...stands out. It changed the entire neighborhood for the better and.... it is a wonderful thing. Delicious everything. Friendly and energetic staff. Lovely decorations. I am happy that this place happened and I would strongly encourage a visit. 5stars isn't enough. View menu
