"What can I say? This place is everything. Customer service is everything. When I think about Bartlett, I think about this great place. For a restaurant that has no bar.... it works. This is the real definition of a family restaurant. Whether you want to bring your family, friends or colleagues... this is the place. I left my iPad and other personal items at this point. The next day they called back and they threw it away and waited for me when I returned the next day and would not take some kind of tip for it. I highly recommend El Idolo!"

"We decided to try it out, and we really enjoyed it! The service was wonderful and the food was great as well. We had orange, teriyaki, and sesame chicken with fried rice and the fried donuts and it was very tasty and served almost too hot, which really is not a complaint at all! Too hot beats cold food any day. We'll go back. :"

"This place was delicious, so glad we stumbled upon it on a rainy day. Got the torta with the steak, and lets starts off with the steak itself. It had such a good flavor, the torta came with lettuce, red onion, jalapeño, tomato, and avacado. The green salsa had so much flavor. I could have done without the fries on the plate. They do bring chips and a really good salsa to the table. I will be back to try more things on the menu."

"I have been ordering veal parmesaln meals for quite a while, but today and the last order have been in question. But today it took the cake. Both patties were not etible. I had to spit out the grizzle totally on both patties. I'm not sure if they have changed their meat supplier but as I have had great orders ,I am afraid to order the veal again. The other meals are very good!"

"I came in mid-afternoon for a late lunch after a long and tiring day.I was immediately struck by the cleanliness and sheer character of the place. The art, music, layout, and decor all speak of a great deal of heart, care, and pride.I was then met by the person who I strongly suspect is the source of most, of not all, of the above, the lady in charge. She was a perfect combination of professional courtesy and Greek Mama: very glad to see me, very knowledgeable, and very determined that I have enough to eat.I gladly ordered what she recommended, and everything was wonderful. The salad was delicious and refreshing, the gyros were excellent, and the stuffed grape leaves were the best I have ever eaten. But the highlight was the pork souvlaki! The meat was very tender and perfectly done, with superb seasoning! In summary, wonderful food, very reasonable prices, great atmosphere, and outstanding service.I give them 5 stars only because I can't give them 6."

"As for the service, the ordering process was a bit frustrating because I was put on hold several times. However, if they were busy, it’s likely a good sign. I did appreciate that I wasn't required to prepay for my order, which was meant for pickup. My food was ready and piping hot at the estimated pickup time. Regarding the food, the pizza dough was somewhat chewy and a bit doughy, but the cheese distribution, topping allocation, and overall consistency were quite good. We also ordered some appetizers that appeared to be made from scratch, which I always prefer. Overall, I’m willing to give them another chance, but there are a few improvements they could make that would elevate them from a place I order from occasionally to one I’d choose more regularly. If they addressed the issues I mentioned, I could definitely see myself adding an extra star to my review."

"This is a traditional “hole in the wall” Italian place that you would find in a lot of towns in NY, NJ, CT and MA. Great food, really good pizza, great meatballs and fresh ingredients! Definitely in the running for the best Italian restaurant in Memphis/West TN. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50"

"We ordered takeout online and made a mistake by not scheduling it for later and unknown to us, they made the food right away, starting at 2:30. I had wanted to place the order for a 6pm pickup so while out shopping, I get a call from the restaurant at 4:10 pm, so almost two hours later, asking me if I was going to pick up my large order. I mentioned that I meant to have it be for 6pm, and that I would come then as I wasn't able to go when they called. I apologized to them about the confusion, but what happened was dangerous The person on the phone told me they would tell the kitchen. I expected they would recook the food order, since the order sat for almost two hours on a regular table, not sitting heated at all. I arrived at 5:35, early, so that I could be sure to wait and grab the food as soon as it was done so we could have hot food. As soon as I walked in, they asked me my name and handed me a bag that isn't from a hot box but a folding table out in the open. I asked how long the food was sitting out since I was coming early for a six pm order, and she told me 10 minutes. I tried to feel whether the food felt hot but it was really packed so I left and put it in my hot bag When I got home about ten min later, I opened the packages and everything was not hot and a few of the items were at ROOM Temperature -this could result in food poisoning from having it sit out for that long at a low unheated temperature They gave me the food that was ordered three hours earlier and had sat out on a table. I had even tipped them so the food would be nice and hot, for a pickup order I asked to either get a refund or new food, and since they wouldn't cook me new food they gave me a refund We've gone to this place for many special occasions, so this was absolutely the most disappointing experience with this place"

"Pros: The party wings (bone-in) at JD's were larger and more flavorful than what you typically find at other wing restaurants or grocery stores. Even the dry Lemon Pepper wings were juicy enough that we didn't need dipping sauce. The Honey Love wings were especially delicious, with a sauce that seemed to be marinated into the wing. The Memphis Style BBQ wings were exactly what we were looking for in a traditional BBQ wing with a touch of sweetness. Cons: I have two minor complaints. First, when I called in my order, I was not informed that the Honey Love sauce was actually a honey mustard flavor. It would have been helpful to have a description of the flavors over the phone or online. Second, the sauced wings were not as crispy as we would have liked, but I understand that achieving both crispiness and sauciness can be difficult. Overall, we have found our new favorite wing place at JD's. The wings were a good size, flavorful, and not overcooked. The prices were reasonable for a local establishment, and the staff was courteous when I picked up my order. We hope JD's continues to maintain the quality of their wings."

"Visited on a Saturday. I ordered the chicken pad thai, spring rolls, and curry potstickers. The potstickers are not on the menu, but they were a staple from the previous owners of Thai Bistro. I did not smell food cooking (pretty good exhaust system in the kitchen) were my thoughts. My to go order was ready within 15mins or so.The spring rolls (2) are small, comes with plum sauce, and tasted like a frozen variety, potstickers are NOT the same as the previous potstickers, the curry sauce comes on the side, it is very thin and did not coat the potstickers at all. The pad thai was just ok, but plenty for a lunch portion. I ordered spice level 2 out of 10 and it did have a nice kick to it. Visit and try for yourself, but for me, I can't say that I would visit often."

"We absolutely love this restaurant! The pizza is fantastic—my kids can't get enough of it. We also enjoy their chef salad, which comes loaded with meat and olives, and the mini panzerotti (I believe that's what they're called). They're like heavenly little dough balls filled with cheese that you can dip in marinara sauce. So delicious! Their gluten-free pizza is also really tasty. Plus, I appreciate that we can earn rewards and coupons to try new items on the menu. This place is our go-to spot whenever we need something quick and delicious."

"Given the long wait, we decided to keep our order simple. The cocktails are priced around $9 for the most affordable options. I tried the Blu-Cucumber Lemonade, which was quite refreshing. It was made with Blue Curacao, Effen Cucumber vodka, and lemonade. As for the food, it was quite overrated. The chips and guacamole cost about $8. We only ordered them because the wait was dragging on, and I couldn't bear to wait another hour for something more substantial. While the flavor was pretty basic, we ended up finishing it anyway. If you choose to visit, it might be best to go when it’s less busy, as the service could be better. The place does feature some live music from local musicians, which seems to be their idea of entertainment, but I found it to be rather underwhelming."

"The entire staff is beyond courteous and very helpful. Helpful in the way to answer any questions or specifics you would have on their menu. The various authentic, and extremely delicious Mexican food dishes are the best in Bartlett. Their Al pastor is mouth watering and I can honestly say the best I've ever had. Order it in a taco, gordita, torta, burrito, or just by itself with a fork. You'll immiedetly want to eat it again in all of the ways I just mentioned and then some. If you want a real treat afterwards, order yourself a tres leches cake for dessert. You can thank me later!"

"After God created the heavens of earth, separated the seas and skies, gathered the waters and grew the vegetation, on the seventh day he rested. However, one thing that was not mentioned in that story was that an overwhelming hunger came over him. After resting that day, he knew what needed to be done. And that’s when he manifested Memphis Mojo Cafe’s Philly fries. Only then was everything right in the world and he knew that the world would be a much better place. His creation would soon be a delicious addition to the culinary world. To be blatantly honest, I’ve ordered these 4 times in the past 3 weeks and every time, they have blown my balls off. Gordon Ramsay would even be impressed. My life is much better with Philly fries in it and I thank the creator of these fries for fulfilling the prophecy and honoring my taste buds with a delicious combination of ingredients. Thank you, Memphis Mojo Cafe.UPDATE: I just ate them again."

"This restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast with friends, family, or siblings. We visited on the weekend and the restaurant was full, so we had to wait for about 30-40 minutes. I recommend visiting early or on weekdays to avoid the crowds and fully enjoy your meal. They offer halal options, but be sure to specify your preferences when placing your order. The pancakes, French toast, omelettes, and hash browns were all delicious and filling. The portions were generous and everything was juicy and flavorful. The prices were worth it for the quality of the food. I had always heard about this place as one of the best for breakfast, and it was definitely worth the wait."

"In October 2023 my husband and I visited the East Coast to see the Fall colors, and various cities in the NE. Our hotel provided a list of hotels with inconsistent/bad reviews that were not to our liking. I kept searching Yelp and Cabin Fever popped up. The food there ended up being the most delicious food on our whole 13 day trip. We ate there twice and everything was excellent. We had lobster bisque and clam chowder, both were wonderful. My husband said it was some of the best clam chowder he ever had. Jen, one of the owners was our server, talked about how she had just made the soups and chili. All of the seafood dishes were tasty too. We ordered the buffalo shrimp twice. Such a simple concept, don't know why other places don't have it, but they do and they were amazing. We ordered the captains platter. It was a bountiful feast and delicious. We had enough leftovers to take back to our timeshare to enjoy the rest heated up for dinner the next day, and it still held up and tasted well. Their onion rings were some of the best we've had in a long time. They were super crunchy and flavorful, we ordered those twice also. We appreciated the warm and buttery lobster roll. Their roll was better than the handful of other ones tasted on the trip. The restaurant had a nice, quirky, warm, and cozy feel to it. Jen gave us a rundown of the history and how long they've been there. One can tell the simple bar food was made with love and good recipes. Jen and Jim (chef) take a lot of pride in the place. All of the employees we had interactions with were welcoming and friendly. I was so impressed with the place I bought a souvenir long sleeve T-shirt. I will proudly wear my Cabin Fever T-shirt, and fondly think of how it added fond memories to our East Coast travels."

"After everything shut down and we needed a break from cooking and cleaning at home we decided to try this place out after just moving here from Arizona and not being able to find a good Mexican restaurant. We have been ordering from this place for months now and have never once had any issues, the food is always amazing, the staff is always professional and you can coins on a thank you on the way out. This place has the best service I have been to in this whole city if you ask me and I would recommend anyone who wants a great meal from great people give it a try!"

"I really enjoyed my meal from this restaurant. I placed my order over the phone and picked it up. It's worth noting that the prices listed online are quite different from those on the restaurant's menu, but honestly, I didn’t mind once I tasted the food—it was fantastic! The California burrito is incredible, and the flautas tacos are delicious as well. And the steak tacos? To die for! The restaurant is clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I will definitely be ordering from here again. Thumbs up to everyone!"

"MUST AVOID new owner has completely destroyed what was once a great place to have a meal. We ordered the fish today and asked for extra lemon I was told I wasn't allowed more then 2 little wedges as lemons are really expensive. I would of happily paid for extra but instead our server went and got the new owner who was extremely rude. He also stated that lemon isn't served with fish at any restaurant. So clearly he doesn't know what he is doing. The drinks tasted like watered down alcohol. Likely to save on cost. My friends burger was gross tasted of old meat. The new owner expresses the high class of his new restaurant all over his website but infact I think this is a place destined for the landfill. Sad to see him tarnish an established place. We will not be back."
