"I ordered a Grilled Chicken Club with guacamole spread and a side of chili cheese fries. The chili on the fries was overly sweet, and the meat had a mushy texture, reminiscent of Manwich or Sloppy Joe. The sandwich itself was just okay—lacking in flavor—while the guacamole spread tasted bitter and was starting to turn gray. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the meal due to the taste. On a positive note, the packaging was good, and nothing spilled."

"Osteria fusoli It's been over 10 years since I first visited and always longed to return, hoping it would stay true to its roots. Happy to report all is as I remembered it to be as they celebrate 20 years in business. A true trattoria experience with an elegant atmosphere at a reasonable price. It's the only Italian restaurant I'd recommend in the entire Yolo county. My appetizer polenta con piselli was excellent. Grilled polenta cakes topped with melted buffalo mozzarella, peas, and pickled lemon. They offer an incredible selection of other appetizers plus fresh soups and salads. This evening's entree was il pesce del giorno. A pan seared sea bass with roasted fennel, fresh herbs, beurre blanc and tomato. Outstanding and delicate. The dessert menu didn't really wow me, so I asked them to make an affogato which is always a pleasure. Beer and wine only, no liquor so no aperitif or digestif here. This is my only gripe. Elegant atmosphere without being too stuffy. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Service was excellent and professional. Thanks Mateo."

"I usually go for the "Over Rice" dish, which includes your choice of tofu or meat paired with vegetables for just $4.95; shrimp is available for a dollar more, plus tax. The food is consistently fresh. I typically grab a fountain drink from their self-service station, just like at fast food restaurants, and I still leave under $10. The restaurant caters to UC Davis students and others by staying open late—midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and until 3 AM from Thursday to Saturday. The owner and staff have always been friendly and helpful. Plus, they offer free Wi-Fi and several flat-screen TVs that usually show sporting events. Even on busy nights, I can often find parking right outside, as many students prefer to bike, walk, or take cabs. I actually met one of my best friends at Open Rice, as we affectionately call it. It has a social vibe, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Yolo County area."

"I just recently went for my 51rst birthday. I chose this location because of a special moment and meal I shared there a year ago with my granddaughter and niece... so I decided, I wanted to share the moment experience with the rest of my family. I must say I left disappointed..The environment was still very warm and cozy, the food was good but a tad bland on some dishes, the service for us was not a good experience. In fact she was asked to bring my b day ice cream when I are entire group was present and brought it when only 3 of is where at the table. Our drinks were barely refilled, we had to ask, we had to prebus our own table and move dirty plates to the end. We still tipped but had she gave us a dining out experience she would of tripled her money. There were only 8 of us and I expected more. In a declining economy family's I know don't get to go out much and the hospitality goes so far. Moving forward this will not be a place I recommend for now"

"After reading recent reviews, I made a reservation at Mustard Seed for a special birthday lunch for my sister and I. We were seated right on time, all the staff were very cordial and friendly. The lunch menu is varied and everything looked delicious. We both ordered the tomato soup, a must here, sandwiches and shared the apple and currant tart with the best vanilla ice cream I have ever tasted. Our waiter couldn’t have been more professional and charming adding a birthday candle to the dessert and really completing the experience for a perfect birthday lunch."

"Enjoyed a business dinner on August 15, 2024 at Seasons in Davis. I have not been there in a while and immediately noticed the reduced menu of about 4 entrees, 4 premium sandwiches and numerous apps. The good news is that the restaurant still has the outstanding chef that was there during my last visit. We shared a delicious cantaloupe and feta cheese app, which was delicious. We the both ordered the surf and turf that was different from the usual. This was a long cooked lamb rib (Dixon, CA) and lobster tail combo that was exquisite. The meat literally fell off the bone and was absolutely delicious, and the lobster tail was done to perfection. The wine selection was good and affordable and the drink selections were varied and good. The sorbet and chocolate mousse were out of the ordinary and divine. Prices were higher than I recall but not out of the ordinary for quality food in these days of inflation and generally higher food prices. Overall, I recommend Seasons."

"These tacos feature tender, slow-cooked beef seasoned with aromatic spices, all wrapped in a corn tortilla and enhanced with a drizzle of melted cheese. Even without dipping them into the consommé, the tacos are packed with flavor on their own. However, dipping them elevates the taste even further, as the consommé soaks into the tortilla perfectly. Onions and lime were provided on the side, which added a nice touch to cut through the richness of the consommé. They also offer a spicy sauce that can be added directly to the tacos or mixed into the consommé. Overall, El Burrito Taqueria is a fantastic, budget-friendly choice for Mexican cuisine. Plus, my order was ready in about 15 minutes, making for a quick dining experience!"

"I'm torn writing this review. Wicked Wilderness is one of handful of finer dining spots in this small town of Davis and they present themselves outwardly that way. The decor ambience is pretty decent. They also have live music playing on Saturday nights. However, our experience last night was a huge miss in at least a couple different aspects. For starters: the service. No one seated or even acknowledged us and the other guests waiting for maybe a good 10 15 minutes, even though they had at least three waitresses. Took so long that one couple behind us eventually left and another seated themselves at the bar. However, eventually an older lady let us know she'd get to seating us soon, and she was a really sweet waitress once she had the bandwidth to serve us. The other issue was the food. I ordered the white pizza flatbread and the entire thing was flavorless. The mushrooms came out of a can yuck! and the asparagus may have as well it was too soft and flavorless for me to tell. My partner ordered the pot pie but said the chicken was a bit odd and very limited in quantity, and said it was like eating chowder with the biscuit. However, the desserts helped redeem the experience the brownie with ice cream was nice and gooey and my pumpkin cheesecake was home made and decent. Finally, another redeeming factor was the price was really cheap. So 2.5 star for food, 3.7 star for service, 4.5 star for ambience, and maybe 4 star for price. Overall, maybe a 3.6 star experience."

"Having grown up in a culture where hospitality is paramount, this experience was disheartening. I felt deeply hurt by the interaction. Instead of offering any guidance on the menu, the staff member quickly said no, which felt more like an attack than a service. It would have been better to receive a polite refusal with an alternative suggestion, but instead, I was met with a brusque rejection. The staff member seemed to take pleasure in making me uncomfortable, and I left without even having the chance to try the place out. The encounter deeply affected me, leaving me feeling dehumanized. As someone on the autism spectrum, social situations can be incredibly challenging for me, and this experience left me feeling overwhelmed and hurt."

"Pretty good sushi for the price! The server was pretty friendly and helped make any recommendations. The place looks pretty modern with some familiar dishes in a Japanese restaurant like teriyaki barbecue and even tempura! They taste pretty cartoony... like the teriyaki sauce was pretty sweet... and the tempura had suspiciously the perfect amount of breading on it for the same can be set of the shrimp inside... At least my mind was taken off by the side salad with a strange bitter taste, and the included orange slice!"

However, I would prefer if they served coffee in real ceramic or porcelain mugs instead of disposable cups. The prices are fair, and the establishment is clean."

"Thanks to the packaging (no to go bag) and the fact that they filled our fries so full that I couldn 't close the box, our fries ended up on the floor of our car. That 's $5 wasted of my hard earned money. I don 't think there was any thought process whenpackaging was decided. Also disappointed that they were rude when they made my mom 's drink as a slush and not the smoothie thatshe order. A woman behind the counter rudely asked now what is wrong with that drink to the guy that was helping my mom whenshe took it back in. I now am even more disappointed that my drink as I got to the bottom sits here frozen as ice including myboba with zero flavor because my smoothie was made as a slush but was better blended than my mom 's slushed smoothie while herremade smoothie is creamy and full of flavor still. I would have had mine remade too if I 'd known. I 'm so disappointed because Iloved them the first time I found them and had them 2 weeks ago. The white ice is my drink and the pink is my mom 's drink, majordifference."

"I absolutely loved this place! The interior seating is so charming. You can easily pull out your laptop and either work or read by the window. We visited in the fall and noticed their seasonal menu, which tempted me to try something new. I went for the fireside espresso tonic, and it was quite an interesting flavor. It's a sophisticated and unique drink, so if that's not your style, I recommend sticking with their other offerings (trust me, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu). Personally, I enjoyed the espresso tonic, but I think it would be better served in the afternoon, as it's more of a cocktail-like coffee. Overall, their coffee is great, and there are plenty of different blends to choose from. They also had cookies and other treats in the fridge that I didn't sample, but I heard they were delicious!"

"Having lived in SoCal for most of your life really fucks over your expectation of food. In LA, Ono's Hawaiian BBQ was a solid choice. In SD, Homestyle Hawaiian's was always a great pick. In Davis? Well, I had to give this place a shot. The first time I was here, I got their katsu and BBQ chicken matsubi. Overall good food and fair price so I thought I'd get something more next time. The second time I was here was when they just opened. The food smelled amazing and they already had a line. I got their BBQ chicken bowl and BBQ pork bowl. Overall, good food for a fair price. This isn't the best Hawaiian food I've ever had, but in the context of the Davis area, Tim's Hawaiian BBQ is a solid pick, and will definitely come back."

"I've been coming here since they opened and through their mini make over! So glad to have a great pho place in town.We usually get seated right away and service is quick ! Both our appetizers and soups come out within 5-10 mins regardless of how busy it is. I've picked up take out which is OK as it's soup so you are fighting elements. But still great as long as you properly re heat. Meat is always packed separate as are the veggies.Chicken or beef, never can have a wrong chose."

"I usually don?t leave reviews but this Ike?s was terrible. I wasn?t greeted at the door and the employees were really rude to me. The sandwich took 15+ minutes which is fine but they didn?t tell me it would be a wait. They didn?t ask for my name, so theydidn?t announce when my order was ready. I was waiting for however long until I realized they put my sandwich in the to-go area.They also let a customer behind the counter to check on her Oder which seems unsanitary in my opinion. "This relaxed corner restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating options. You order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. We sampled the sashimi wrap, which is like a sushi burrito (we chose to leave out the jalapeños), and the kali nachos. The wrap was packed with ample pieces of fish and was quite tasty. The kali nachos featured wonton chips topped with surimi crab and a drizzle of soy sauce. However, the sauce was a bit too strong, making the dish a touch salty."

"Decided to eat at that place because it had the best rating in Davis downtown and I love burritos. It was VERY big mistake. At first, even though it is pretty small place they do not serve coffee. Then we had to wait for our burritos for the 25 minutes!!! The main ingredient of our burritos was a COLD and not very tasty rice. It was the WORST burrito I ever tried. Never thought you can change something so good to so bad. My wife was smart, and after trying it immediately went to a café across the street, but I've got a heartburn for the rest of the day. They ask for tips BEFORE the serving. How do you know if food and service will be good in advance? NEVER EVER go to that place and mark it with big NO-NO SIGN."

"Was there for the first time and had their chicken strips and waffle. The chicken strips were crunchy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. The waffle was crispy and not soggy....was impressed! Their mimosas were also very worth it! The waitress was very nice and let my daughter and me share a bottomless order of mimosas....will definitely be back !!"
