"SO GOOD!!!!!!! The sandwiches are heavenly, I don't know if it was just because I had just exercised and was really hungry, but I cannot stop thinking about this place. I got the meatball sandwich and an anise cookie and both were amazing. My friends got the prosciutto sandwich and the love letter sandwich and they looked so delicious! I'll definitely be back, because I need to try the prosciutto one. When you walk in, it's the layout resembles that of most delis and you just order at the counter. There's chips you can grab on the side and some merchandise lmao. The food comes out relatively quick and wrapped neatly. There's indoor and outdoor seating, but it got a little crowded inside with the long line! Our timing was good and we didn't have to wait very long to order, but we watched the line grow during lunchtime. Well worth the wait if there is one when you go."

"I came up visit this spot based on reviews about the service, and because I heard it's a vegan spot that is actually pretty good.Location wise it's kind of in a random place. It's kind of like its own element in the sea of residential, and right across from DMC hospital which was a little bit off. And the entrance is also unassuming. But as soon as you step inside, you feel the welcoming aura.I thought the food was prepared well. It was quick. The service was excellent too. Now the prices were a little bit on the high end so that's one caveat. And the decor/furniture could use a little bit of work since it's a bit dated at this point. However, overall it was a good experience and I'd recommend a visit.I got the Coney Dog which is kind of like a chili dog with I think fake meat. I also got the loaded fries which I thought were actually quite good. I'd like to try the big mock Burger, but at $16 it was a little bit too much to splurge on for a taste."

"Excellent experience. Mike's catered an event for us and everyone was delighted with the quality and quantity of the food. The delivery was on time and everything tasted fresh. There was so much food that we didn't even notice that we were missing a tray of fruit. Unbeknownst to us, Mike realized the oversight and went back to the restaurant to retrieve it. We appreciated the extra miles, literally, he put into it to make sure we were happy."

"First time back in Detroit (home) in many years. This used to be the top shelf restaurant back in the 70s when my parents went out and dined. It hasn’t lost its vibe and reputation as one of the finest in the “D”! Food was fresh and excellent, Pete our waiter was phenomenal and the ambiance was top notch. Highly recommend this as a must eat if in downtown Detroit. After dinner they have a nice cigar bar to enjoy a smoke and some after dinner drinks."

"I have never been disappointed at Joe Muer Detroit. The staff and managers are always professional and eager to assist, and the ambiance is sophisticated and enjoyable. Our server, CJ, was incredibly professional and attentive to our needs. The food was top-notch. My wife and I split the seafood platter and it was well worth the price for the generous portions. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone."

"Wonderful wonderful wonderful!! From the welcoming atmosphere, to the service, to the delicious food. We were travelling from Canada and knew we had to come here before leaving. My aunt remembered this place from years ago when she last visited Detroit (8 years ago) and it did not disappoint last time or this time. The food was very flavourful, you can tell it was made with care and true passion. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed like family by the employees and customers! They were personable and enjoyable individuals. Their menu has a wonderful variety so there will for sure be something on there for you! The portion sizes definitely give you a bang for your buck! I will forever rave about Royal BBQ Pizza! "This place is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic! I've tried almost everything and it's all packed with flavor. It's always perfectly cooked. I never fear experimenting with a new dish... Lately I'm trying to eat more vegetarian dishes for dietary reasons and this establishment has some great dishes that won't leave you feeling deprived. It's all so good! Love the atmosphere, and the staff are kind. My wife and I love to swing by every time we visit the VA nearby. Highly recommended!"

"Unfortunately, we were sat in a corner. We waited about 15-20 minutes before they noticed us. During that time the server was talking to another table trying to convince them to stay. We asked if we had a server twice. Once they took our food and drink order, it was another 15 to 20 minutes for the salads to come out (before we recieved our drinks and with no silverware). We requested silverware and after 10 minutes went to another table to collect it ourselves. At this time, my husband talked to the manager. Afterwards, they offered us a free drink each. Once the food came out, only 2/4 of us recieved our food. The rest came out after we pointed it out to them 5ish minutes later. I have been to Parc before and loved it. I'm not sure we will be back after this experience."

"the complete waiting chaos was after approx. 20 minutes visible in the dinner service. the waitress was slowly getting our drink order. drinks were healthy pouring out and well made. my wife had a lobster bite, and I had the French wobbles. the bisque was too salty and the French wobbles were best moderate. most mothers and pop djnners have served better. a caesars salad for two came out and prepared on the table. the waiter could not separate the egg yolk from the white during the first test and then drop the ice on the floor. at this point it began to be a comedy show. the Porterhouse-Steak was shared with the two of us. the waitress rubbed us in the garlic butter. However, when it came out, the butter did not melt at all on the steak. the plate was ice cold and the steak was extremely rare. so much, so it was difficult to cut. it would just splash under the knife. the steak was ordered with medium rare, but I checked the middle of the strip and it was cool on the touch! not good. even if it had been boiled correctly, it would still be tasteless and embarrassing. the waitress was told and she offered to take her back. it was my experience that if that happens, they cook the hell out of the flesh. So we decided not to consume it and cook it right at home. the waitress was more of a cure and canceled our comments as if we knew nothing. our sides were delivered incorrectly and the waitress caught only the mistake after going away and then spoke with another waiter. she came by and admired the mistake and said just to enjoy it. Now, the court was framed spinat that did not fit to serve everyone sleep to calculate for it. during the time, the kitchen staff came out at two locations to correct the waiting personnel on other tables and to cover errors. the frustration was very obvious on many of the workers faces. where they walk and come together. it was a Zitt show. on expensive poor!"

"We went for our anniversary! The food and service is top notch! The manager personally cleared our table after chatting with us for a few minutes! The server was so wonderful My only criticism is that they don't have a dress code and I felt uncomfortable as did my husband, watching very trashy dressed people coming in to such a nice restaurant. I don't blame the restaurant, after all the covid shutdowns they are still struggling and obviously don't want to turn down any customers! Just wish fokes would have a little self respect"

"I've dined at The Statler several times, and the food has consistently impressed me. However, the service has always left something to be desired during each visit. It's not terrible, but given the prices, it should be better. On this occasion, the service was particularly slow, even though the restaurant was mostly empty on a Sunday evening. If it had been a busy Saturday night before a show, the pace would've been understandable. We experienced long waits not only for our hors d'oeuvres and dessert orders but also for water refills. We tried to expedite things by ordering our entrées with the hors d'oeuvres to avoid another lengthy wait. Despite these issues, the overall experience was quite enjoyable."

"This was a spontaneous decision, as we struggled to find a brunch spot for a group of 6 on short notice. Let me tell you, this is the best place I've come across by chance! Each of us ordered something different, and we all raved about how delicious it was. Some menu items were sold out due to our late arrival, but that just gives us an excuse to return. I can't wait to try the pancakes next time!"

"Before my trip to Detroit, I had heard great things about this restaurant and knew I had to check it out. Overall, my experience here was excellent, with the only downside being the temperature in the area we were seated in - it was a bit cold. It's important to have proper climate control when dining indoors. Other than that, the service was good, the staff were efficient, and most importantly, the food was fantastic. I would give the food a 5, service a 4, and atmosphere a 5."

"We had a reservation confirmed for 9:30 because of a time concern) and arrived at 9:15 and waited until 9:30 for valet access, which required us to need to leave by 10:40. When we arrived they did not have our table ready and were ushered off to the bar to wait, and were not seated until 10:10. We had to really rush our dessert, like how fast can you eat your cake, which was not really fun. The valet service was impossible to drop the car and were forced to move to a side lot down the street and walk back to the location not horrible), but when you are expecting to drop at the door it put a damper on things. The one way in/out was not a great idea. We were forced to move off the main street by the local PD because we were waiting so long to drive in, they wanted us to move. Kind of a crummy way to celebrate 3 anniversaries and 1 birthday dessert event. There were 8 of us in total, would definately reconsider going here for a large group again. With so many choices to go to in Detroit now, may have to consider new places. They need to step their game with all this competition."

"Amazing experience. Even on a busy Friday night, the bartender Harry took his time to explain what I could and couldn’t have on the menu based on my GF, DF and Egg Free restrictions. I ended up with the duck and beet salad. And I also enjoyed a homemade sorbet which was delicious! Loved this place before celiac, and still love it now. :"

"My twin and I had a delicious meal at this restaurant. We both tried the vegetarian options and they were the best we've had in a while! The tofu in every dish was cooked perfectly and the flavors were amazing. I ordered the vegan phó as my main dish and the broth was outstanding. It was served with thinly sliced fennel and peanuts, making the dish even more delicious. The staff were friendly and kept the tables clean. Our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering, which was impressive since I ordered before 4 pm and had to go to the front counter to place my order. The atmosphere was very welcoming, although the music wasn't my favorite, it suited the restaurant well. They don't have any dessert options, but mainly focus on soups and cocktails. Overall, a great dining experience!"

"I took my mother here to Mother's Day and the personal was absolutely amazing! They saved us a really sweet stand I thought was very thoughtful! it was our first time and we had an amazing experience. our server was through! he was very welcoming, helpful, attentive and gave us the perfect amount of space while keeping us a close eye. the woman who greeted us was also so welcoming and sweet, but I didn't get her name. Appear and sushi were wonderful and well plated. my only negatiw was our Hibachi-Steak was a little underheated. it seems as if she probably sous vide and it was simply not very warm when it reached us. the service and the rest of our meal were absolutely fantastic, however, and we will be back. little one!"

"Overall, the service was a 7 out of 10. The server was great, but the food took way too long to come out. The shrimp fritters, appetizer, were a perfect 10 out of 10. The drinks were rated an 8 out of 10. Unfortunately, the soup was a 0 out of 10, as it tasted like an over chlorinated pool. The burger was a disappointment, scoring a 3 out of 10. It was overcooked, the lettuce was over saturated with a sour taste, the patty was too big, the bun was too small, and the bacon turned out to be pork belly and was inedible. The fries were mediocre at best, earning a 5 out of 10."

"We began our meal with the Roasted Bone Marrow and the Foie Gras. Both dishes were packed with flavor. The marrow came with soft little muffins that melted in your mouth, while the foie gras was one of the best things I've ever tasted. For dinner, I chose the Pork Belly, which paired wonderfully with the sweet potato hash; everything was cooked to perfection! I had hoped to meet Sarah, the chef from Top Chef Houston, but I didn’t want to intrude. Surprisingly, I bumped into her as we were leaving. I approached her and said "Sarah," as if we were familiar from the show. She looked a bit puzzled, as if she should know me but didn't. I explained it was our first visit, and we chatted for a moment—she was incredibly kind! I would definitely return to Marrow the next time we're in town. I really wish it were located in Grand Rapids because we would be there all the time. Keep up the great work—it's truly excellent!"

"My family and I were celebrating my mother’s 73rd birthday. I phoned ahead to let them know I was running a little late and was told we have to leave after our 2 hour window. The food was mediocre but was served in a timely manner. My cousin and I did enjoy our pizza. Everyone else had pasta, steak, or salmon dishes and they said it was ok at best. Our server was attentive, kind, and well versed with the menu. The bill had a random $25 open food item on it. Our bill was for 10 people and everything was accounted for for but that one item. Pay attention to your bill. Lastly, the bartender gave my family not so pleasant looks the whole time we were there. The ambiance was nice."
