"Honest review time.Haven’t been back to BL in about 2-3 years. Was my favorite restaurant back then. So, flavor wise, it’s still very good food. Is it “better” than Chipotle’s flavors? Not quite, but it’s near equal. It definitely isn’t buried in adobo seasoning like Chipotle is so it’s definitely a different flavor profile. You need Loco sauce in your life. Without Loco sauce, life is an empty void. Also, without Loco sauce, the meat is a tad bland. The taco sauce is also good to throw on there. The queso sauce here is better than Chipotle’s also. The place ia clean, they got tunes playing, (I suggest a couple more hot sauce selections considering it’s a burrito joint)However, BL doesn’t get two stars deducted for being marginally less good than Chipotle. This time around, I ordered a small water from the dispenser. I will take over their bathroom if I was crazy enough to mix a sugary pop with heavy rice, steak and sauce. And I clearly see a 35¢ charge tacked on. The only place I know of that charges for a small water that isn’t bottled is the Krusty Krab, and that’s not the best comparison to have. I know times are hard, but are they that hard?Secondly, what used to make it more worth it to get streak here is they used to cook it TO ORDER which I found to be amazing. Medium rare steak bits on my burrito bowl? Yes please. But not so today. Maybe it’s takes too long, I get it, but I’m a little bummed about it. And it might just be me but it seems likes the portion sizes in the rectangular carry out bowls seem lesser than the old circular bowls from the past. Just an observation. All in all, BL is a good burrito joint. Way better than Moes SW Grill, just a bit below Chipotle in quality, in my humble opinion. Is it my favorite anymore? I don’t think so, but like I said, life without Loco sauce is an empty void, so I’ll be back.*EDIT*:Friendly responses to honest reviews by store owners wins an extra star in my book"
