"Last night I experienced the most unscrupulous experience I have ever had with a restaurant with the service at the Wok. I am so offended by their actions; I can say we are honestly done with visiting the restaurant in the future. I’ll start with we have been getting dinner on our way out of town every month or so from the Wok for years. Their food is generally very good, but we have had a few times where the food missed the mark. Everyone has an off day so we keep going back, until last night. Their online ordering did not work, so my wife called in an order while I was driving through Reno and I stopped by to pick it up. There was a little confusion when I arrived as they ahad three to go orders on the counter. It seemed they worked everything out and I paid for the order and left to head home. Twelve minutes later I get a call. It’s the Wok and they tell me they had given me the wrong order and asked if I could return. The employee apologized profusely and since we wanted what we ordered, I went back. I arrived at the restaurant and took the order they had provided back in and they checked the bags. The cashier told me she charged me the wrong amount as she had rung up the wrong order. I asked what the difference was (first bill was $63.00 for four entrees and some potstickers) and was told the new total was $94.00. The last order we had was for the same items and was just under $70, so $94 was a shock. The cashier told me she had told my wife the wrong amount and apologized. She also offered a $10 discount. I paid the bill and said I would wait for our food. Much to my shock, I watched them empty the items they had given me, place it on the counter and everything was what we ordered. One entrée had spilled when they took it out and they quickly put it in another bag and then with a big smile handed me the items I already had. I said, “so my order was correct but the amount you charged was wrong?” I asked why did you lied to me to get me to come back. I was told that I would not have paid if they did not lie about why I needed to come back. I was incredulous and decided the best thing to do was to just leave. So, 35 minutes after I left the first time, I was on my way again. Once I got home, II asked my wife what the total was that they provided when she called in the order. She said they specifically told her they did not have a total and I would provide that to me when I picked up the food. Yet another lie. I tallied up my items and came up with a total of $68.75, certainly less than what I originally paid, but clearly not the $94.00 they tried to charge. So tonight, I called and ordered the same items and was told the order would be $76.57, yet a different amount. I promptly told them no thank you. Most restaurants would honor their mistake. With that said, if they called and told me I paid the wrong amount, I would have made it right. But instead, they lied to me, clearly tried to overcharge me and then gave me a discount that was still more than the price for the same food 24 hours later. Their actions were inappropriate, uncalled for and unscrupulous. Over the last year, we visited this restaurant 10 times, but last night was the last time they get any business from us."

"Second time at a Charlie Palmer restaurant (first was Four Seasons vegas, 2019, which is now closed . Our server, Erewyn, and busser, Forest, were the stars of the night. Erewyn has a passion for food and wine and it shows. Forest was very attentive throughout our meal and worked hard. The restaurant did not have black napkins, but Forest went to find some for us. The extra effort is applaudable. But then there was the meal. We ordered the bacon appetizer that came out completely unseasoned. We had to ask for salt which only made it nominally more palatable. The dry aged rib eye was also under/unseasoned and chewy like a sirloin. They butterflied it, so not a surprise there. The petite filet was a bit better but also unseasoned. The au gratin potatoes were good. The wine we chose was the highlight of our meal; mostly because it didn’t come from the kitchen. However, the executive chef did come out and sit with the table next to us for about 15 minutes (who were being comped their meal, assuming employees from another CP location based on their conversation . He did not stop at any other table to see how the meal was, including ours where a salt and pepper mill sat prominently, indicating that perhaps the kitchen didn’t send out properly seasoned food. Then the restaurant manager also stopped at the same table, but no others. I would think you would want to stop and talk with the paying customers and see how their meals were in order to gauge quality. That was definitely not the case and our meal was a reflection of the lack of interest. I doubt I will ever eat at a Charlie Palmer again because there are so many better steakhouses to choose from (and I’m wondering whether the $15 ribeye at the Cal-Neva wouldn’t have been better than the $89 one here? ! Nearly $600 later for a dinner for two and the highlights were the waiter and busser. At least service is good, because honestly, we probably could’ve had a better steak at Outback."

"A little late on this reviews but 5 stars where it is deserved! Like always: 5/5 star since the first time that I sat down at this establishment. All-round great experience!!! Our server was training and she was simply amazing at her job! Jess is an exemplary example of fine dining services. Great recommendations and pairing of drinks. Ambiance as always was lovey and what we expected for a Sunday night dinner: Appetizer: maple ponzu burnt ends. 5/5 stars for this appetizer, very interesting flavor profile but worked better than imagined! It was delicious and definitely made me look up the recipe because it was just so good! 5/5 table show for steak diane and bananas foster: Always a great show when people cook in front of you and explain what's on the recipe! Had a great conversation with the chefs and was able to really just enjoy the flavor and smell of these master pieces. Perfectly cooked to medium rare on the steak and just a great showing of skill by the chefs as they did everything on the spot! Drink recommendations: 5/5 from Jess: Perfect wine recommendations to go with our meal and drink recommendations to start off the night, mentioned I had a nut allergy and Jess made sure that her drink recommendation which had an ingredient I was allergic to was modified to make sure we could enjoy your evening. Thank you to Jess and her staff for making our night and amazing one"

"Dear Peg’s Management Team, I have been a loyal customer of Peg’s for many years, but I regret to inform you that I will no longer be returning to this particular location. Over the past year, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of both the food and the service. As someone who is generally soft-spoken and accommodating, I have often set aside my personal preferences for the sake of my friends and family. However, my recent experiences have compelled me to share my concerns. As a Director of Guest Services at a local casino and resort, I understand the importance of exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Peg’s was far from satisfactory. On my first weekend off in two months, I decided to spend quality time with my team at your establishment. I had hoped to enjoy a relaxing meal, free from the stresses of my job, but instead, I encountered several issues. Firstly, I have struggled to find a single menu item that meets my expectations. The food has consistently been either too salty, too greasy, or simply unpalatable. During my recent visit, I ordered a dish that was not to my liking and requested to replace it with French toast. The waitress responded by asking if I was requesting a refund, to which I replied that I would accept one if it was an option. After some time, she returned and informed me that the manager had tasted the gravy and found nothing wrong with it. This response made me feel as though my opinion was being dismissed. Moreover, the gravy tasted suspiciously like a prepackaged product, which further diminished my dining experience. Despite my dissatisfaction, I politely requested a single French toast instead. The entire interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and undervalued. My team and I discussed the situation, and it became apparent that others in the restaurant shared similar sentiments about the declining quality of service. In light of these experiences, I would like to offer some constructive feedback to help improve your establishment: Addressing Customer Complaints: It is crucial to handle customer complaints with empathy and without making excuses. Acknowledging the issue and showing a willingness to resolve it can significantly enhance customer satisfaction. Customer Collaboration: Successful businesses thrive on collaboration with their clientele. When a customer expresses a concern, such as finding the food too salty, it is essential to listen and address the issue promptly. Undermining the customer’s feedback can damage the establishment’s reputation and create an environment of incompetence. Active Listening: There is a distinct difference between hearing and listening. While you may hear a customer say they dislike the food, truly listening involves understanding and addressing their concerns. Retaining customers over time depends on how well their feedback is received and acted upon. Silencing customer feedback can lead to a decline in service quality. Ultimately, the quality of service is paramount. Even if the food is not exceptional, outstanding customer service can transform a negative experience into a positive memory. Although I may not return, I hope you take this feedback seriously and strive to improve. I genuinely want every business to succeed and believe that with the right approach, Peg’s can regain its former excellence."
