"Rating: ★★☆☆☆
I ordered from here just before Thanksgiving, and my experience was unfortunately disappointing. I completely understand that holiday rushes can lead to a hectic kitchen, but the quality of food I received definitely reflected that. The flavors were worth at most 2 stars because everything felt rushed. It honestly made me wonder if there are two different chefs cooking who might have different styles.
If you're planning to visit, I suggest trying to order on quieter days or during less busy hours—you’re likely to receive a much better meal.
In my previous visit, I had a solid experience with their Spicy Szechuan dishes, giving them a 3 out of 5 stars. Their tomato eggs used to be my favorite, and I honestly believe they have the potential for a 5-star rating based on taste alone. I’m holding onto the 3-star rating for now, hoping to see an improvement on my next visit.
They do offer delivery through UberEATS with a promotion for a free dish with a $30 order, and now you can dine in without the usual crowds. If you're a fan of spicy food, I recommend the golden soup with beef and mushrooms. For those who prefer something milder, try the tomato eggs—they’re some of the best around. They also have crispy rice, which is a rarity at other local Chinese restaurants.
Now, about the quality: if you’re lucky, you'll get a perfectly cooked tomato egg with delicious broth underneath, which is fantastic. Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky. In the photo I've attached, you can see that my tomatoes were barely cooked and still held their shape, and some were even cold upon arrival. My friend, who shares my love for tomato eggs, even found a piece of eggshell in his dish. While the chicken wings had a wonderfully authentic sauce, I was disappointed to find that the inside was flavorless.
I understand the restaurant is swamped with orders, but I truly believe they can serve better quality dishes with just a bit more time and attention. My previous experiences with Little Szechuan have been good, and I sincerely hope they can return to that level in the future."
