"I have eaten at Charlie’s for years but recently I don’t know what it is but everything we’ve ordered has tasted very off of what it should and the orders incorrect! This evening was by far the worst. Steak and cheese with mushrooms and pickles. Nope steak and a slice of cheese. But that’s not the worst got a gyro sub first off it says 12 inch but on a pita but had ask for it on a sub roll but was only 6 when it clearly says 12 but for the price I understood but it tasted so bad that it had to be spit out! I don’t know changed but we will not be returning!!"

"Ordered food yesterday for me, my children, and niece. My Niece has an allergy to Gluten so I ordered her steamed chicken and mixed vegetables. First, the order was screwed up. I was given chicken with broccoli. they rectified it rather quickly (why the one star) but then after we were essentially almost done with our meal, there was a nasty and large cockroach in the chicken and mixed vegetables. It was nasty. I immediately contacted the restaurant, told them to pick up the food, and demanded back. The guy came back, took the food, but was only willing to reimburse us for the chicken and broccoli. So not only do they give us a dish with a cockroach (which means that the place is infested), but they refuse to reimburse us. Never, ever going back there. Recommend no one else does as well. Will be reporting them to the NYC DOH and will dispute the charge on my card."

"I'm not one to give a business one bad experience and immediately leave a bad review but this has been a recurring issue here for some time now where I will place an order and be told it will be ready in 10-15 minutes and I'll show up 20+ minutes later and my order either has been totally disregarded or hasn't even been started yet. I will no longer be frequenting this establishment. No apologies when an error has clearly been made and very poor service for mediocre food. "I ordered $7.10 lo mein. Gave them $20.25 and they gave me $8.15 back. They gave me a 3 singles and a 5, they should have given me 3 singles and a 10. Didn't realize until I was a block away, I went back to get correct change and they said I gave them $10.25 and they refused to give me the $5 they stole. Plus the food is very greasy and makes you feel terrible after you eat it. Store is dirty too. Do not recommend at all."

"Don't bother calling up before you go, they just wait until you arrive and pay first before they start cooking your meal. Called before I went for just an order of French fries for the kid and had to wait 15 minutes with the kid in a hot restaurant that hadno A/C on even though it was 90° outside. Plenty of of Chinese restaurants around here that I doubt I will return to thatplace."

"What a delightful surprise! The food here is affordable, and the portion sizes are generous. The quality is quite good, and they are relatively quick in getting your orders to you. My only complaint would be the rice; I found it to be a bit dry, though still flavorful. This is just a minor issue in what was an overall great experience. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the Eastern Meadow area!"

"Royal Chef is hands down the best restaurant we've visited, easily standing out among the dining options in Mercer County. The food is top-notch, rivaling any other establishment in the area, and excels in several ways—thanks to the use of complex spices and high-quality ingredients. They are very accommodating when it comes to requested substitutions or even "creative" custom dishes. The prices are quite reasonable, and the menu is extensive. Additionally, as of October 2021, they are still implementing masks and interesting hygiene practices for payment and takeout. "Unlike the lady Rhonda’s review … I have never had any issues with this place . I live near 695 and will drive to pick up food it’s so good! The staff has even brought my food to the car because I didn’t want to get my kids out to pick up . The small space in the front of the restaurant doesn’t bother me because I’m just ordering and /picking up . Not sitting to enjoy the view . Covid did happen and I think some people forget that. They try to keep it safe while using the space they have inside for other items . Not a big deal . The food is great!"

"Pretty terrible. Had an old menu on hand looking for ordering some Chinese. Used the place 4 years ago and the food was evidently decent. This time around they had a meltdown because they couldn't find my house. This was after a full descriptionbeforehand, and a follow up upon their hysterical and unintelligible driver's phone call. Last house on the block, dead endstreet, only one with a pile of illuminated Halloween decorations, AND illuminated 18 high house number. I kid you not 1½foot high numbers with a light on them! Not to mention we're one town over from Teaneck and getting here required a total ofTHREE turns! The food was so salty that we were craving liquids for the next three hours. The dumplings were completely void oftaste. The Mongolian beef was largely onions and peppers and the chicken on a stick was so overcooked that it looked like thechicken got caught in a barn fire. The driver was literally shaking at the door and announced that his boss said they willnever deliver here again. Not to fear boss ...lol You won't have to. ;"

"I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was exceptional, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Both the appetizers and entrees were outstanding. My favorite dish was the Bangkok Duck. You can customize the heat level of any dish by adding their spices, which is a great touch. Another favorite of mine is the Chicken Cashew. You really should visit and discover your own favorites. Don't forget to greet the staff with "SAWADDEE" for an extra warm welcome!"

I ordered the triple delight, and the food was undercooked—the meat had a rubbery texture, and the vegetables were still quite hard. When you order combination fried rice or lo mein, they include only a small amount of meat. Additionally, my order was incorrect, with extra items added that drove the total price much higher than it should be. I won't be coming back again!"

"I don't ask much, for the food to be made hot and spicy with extra sauce over the rice, the last 5 or so trips since my departure in March. They can't even get that right. I get home rice dry as ever, no extra sauce. Like I work out of state and I don't have access to decent Chinese and to think the first place I want to come to is there. NEVER AGAIN, then I call to say order is messed up once again they hang up on me. Let's talk about it, Their prices have went up to include less. The lunch special is just meat and just plain fried rice, compared to other available options white rice, fried rice and at minimum pork fried rice is an option. There is usually a charge for chicken or shrimp which is fine , then some offer drink or egg roll or drink or soup or any one of the three. So at this point there is no true bang for your lunch special buck here at all. I'm pretty sure with a little searching you cam find another chinese restaurant.YOU HAVE TRULY LOST A LONG STANDING CUSTOMER AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANOTHER PERSON TO GO THERE EVER AGAIN."
