"Later, I encountered another employee, who may or may not have been a manager. My family had experienced her yelling at customers who were trying to open the bathroom door, so we assumed we just needed to push harder. After several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to ask if she could help. I inquired if a light would shine through the floor of the door if someone was inside, but she didn’t hear me and asked me to repeat the question. Instead, I thought it would be faster to just ask her to open the bathroom door. Her response shocked me again: “Yes, I have to open the bathroom door, but can’t you see I’m busy working?” At that point, I was furious. I told her to open the door and let my family know they could use the restroom.
Afterwards, my family members told me they noticed throughout our meal that there was always a worker watching us, and one kept circling around to refill our drinks. This confirmed my suspicion that my Asian family and I were being racially discriminated against. I’m disgusted by what occurred. Having worked in the food industry myself, I am appalled by the lack of customer service and professionalism at this establishment. I hope this review serves to protect others from the disrespect I experienced."
