The inconsistent application of policy leads to a bad customer service experience...but what can you expect from McDonald 's. "The service here deserves zero stars. I ordered from a kiosk that wasn't functioning properly and wouldn't accept payments. When I tried to pay at the counter instead, I was completely ignored by four employees for several minutes. Frustrated, I ended up leaving and going to Jersey Mike's instead. Overall, it was a terrible and rude experience. I wouldn't recommend this place."

"I tried the burger shortly after lunch and I have a feeling it might have been left over from the night before. The top of the bun was mushy and fell apart when I tried to bite into it. The cheese was a darker orange than usual and had started to dry out and harden at the edges. The ketchup also looked like it was beginning to dry up. Despite these issues, it was still a McDonald's burger, so it tasted pretty much the same as always."

"I say this as a former employee of McDonald’s, who recently, as a customer, had the most uncomfortable McDonald’s experience of my life.1) it was extremely dirty. You could tell none of the employees had taken the time to wipe down tables, chairs, or sweep up spilled food.2) I understand it was Halloween, but one of the employees had a very inappropriate costume on. I’ve never even known McDonald’s to allow their employees to wear costumes at work.3) There were employees vaping in the bathroom4) They were not paying attention to the front counter at all. We waited 20 minutes to get our drink cups. Just the cups!5) the employees were very loudly discussing their personal lives and talking about other employees behind their backs. They would come out into the lobby and fake fistfight, making it a very hectic and uncomfortable space for the customers. They would yell and cuss so much that it was hard to have a conversation with the person next to me.All in all, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a McDonald’s. My partner and I ate and got out as fast as possible. We couldn’t enjoy even sitting and eating our meal.Would not recommend this McDonald’s to anyone passing through town."

"One of the more modern facilities. Honestly, the nicest and cleanest locations I've seen. The staff were very kind and patient, and even brought the food to my table once it was ready. Probably the freshest food I've had at a franchise. Sandwich was neat and warm, fries were piping hot and not over-salted. I fell in love with McDonald's all over again. It's far from home, but if ever in the area, I'm coming back! "The drive through was not a fun experience. Tried to order and was getting rushed through the drive through before I could even say my full order even though I was being polite and asked for a minute. So I pulled away to go inside and order only to find a large group of people waiting in line at the register with no employee there to take orders. So i decided to use the kiosk rather than speak with a person at the register to order food even though if you pay cash you still have to pay at the register (felt like a waste of time waiting to use the kiosk and then waiting in another line to pay). I left rather annoyed instead of eating there simply becasue the wait inside was too long, and in the drivethrough i was being rushed. I can't speak for the food but the environment and customer service there was very lack luster"

"I visited this McDonald's on my way to Bible Study, and I had a great experience! The restaurant was clean, the staff were friendly, and my food was prepared and served quickly enough for me to catch my next bus in under 10 minutes. In fact, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes altogether. The food was delicious too!"

"Ordered a McDouble bundle and the fries were not cooked correctly they were cold and soggy ruined my appetite. I called to fix the problem and the manager didn’t help me at all she just kept telling me that she was cooking everything fresh so I told her no my fries are cold and they look white she still tried to argue with me and when I ask who am I speaking too she said the manager I asked for her name and she kept going on that it was impossible that she cooked everything fresh I told her maybe one of your employees took it out the fryer too soon and she said no. She told me to come in and show her the fries and I told her no it’s too late it’s a inconvenience for me because this was my 30 min break and it was just terrible service and food, the manager never solved my problem instead tried to argue with me and tell me I’m wrong 1 star for me."

"I have been a frequent morning at Bethalto site for several years. Today I was at 7:20 for my breakfast and drinks. I had problems with my coupon and the girl waiting for me was new, but the manager was more than helpful to get what I needed! When I got my sum, I hardly had enough money when I thought I had more in my pocket, another $20 bill. I went by to make my tea and the girl waiting for me asked if I had just dropped a $20 yes! That was mine! The nice young man who is there every day to clean the dining area had found it immediately and it was in- and since I was the last customer, they knew it was mine! Believe me, I'm very well aware that they don't have to be honest and give up, but they have it! I was back home to see if I dropped it in my highway when I knew I had it. But- your employees were both SO honest and friendly You should be very proud of them both and I wish I had got their names now because they both deserve a real recognition from the owners for this good deed! Hopefully, this date and timestamp can help you determine who they are and again THANK YOU BOTH for my $20 back!"

Go in there for 2 cheeseburgers, a kid's meal.And I can't remember what the other meal was they make my cheeseburgers a meal and totally didn't ring up the other ones. I told corporate that better training is a must have. They're putting brand new people in drive through and front counter unsupervised which you're not supposed to do that. I've actually trained people when it comes to working in fast food and you're supposed to train on front counter and not leave then unattended. "Terrible experience but it isn 't the staffs fault so much as it was the terrible app. We stopped off here to grab some food before headed to Splish Splash in Calverton. I used my app to get a #1 with the $1 large fries for my girl. She used her app to get the $5 nuggets to go with her fries.Simple enough, right?Tell me how we spent 30 minutes trying to get the app to work? I was able to place my order but we were having trouble with hers. We did inside pick up and the app wouldn 't allow us to check out and pay for the food. After finding out you need to be standing near the registers for the promo to work, it was finally allowing us to check out... only for it to say there was an error placing your order, please speak to a crew member . So we did. The crew members knew absolutely nothing and was no help at all. In a situation like this, the manager should step in and override the register to accommodate the promo you are having trouble redeeming. They did nothing except say that the app was a seperate entity and we would have to call the number for a resolution. Now, I 've called them before over a different issue and it 's literally the worst experience. They have no idea what you 're talking about and you get the run around until you just get annoyed and frustrated enough to just hang up. So, I didn 't even bother calling them this time although I should.My girl wound up getting a completely different meal from what she wanted and now we were stuck with an extra order of fries that I redeemed in my order. We had it all planned out, as you should when ordering from the app. You absolutely should be taking advantage of the offers and promos within the app but this time it did not go smoothly at all and nobody cared nor felt motivated to help. After we showed the cashier the problem we were having on the app, she kinda just shook her head and said damn that 's crazy and then proceeded to charge us full price for a meal my girlfriend pretty much didn 't even want. I said wow so you guys aren 't even going to try ro remedy the situation and still charge us full price for something we didn 't really want? Waste of 30 minutes, waste of extra money, waste of fries and to top it all off, the chicken sandwich my girlfriend got wasn 't even the one she wanted. She was disappointed about her food and I felt bad for her. Terrible experience. Mcdonalds has gotten to the point where they make so much money and have so many customers that they can do the absolute bare minimum and somehow thinks it 's acceptable."

"Stopped in for fries and a chocolate shake. We joked that the shake machine would likely not be working which has turned into an ongoing joke for McDonald's.And: No shakes.
