"I had an absolutely wonderful time at Lighthouse today. Big portions, attentive staff. Our waitress always came around to make sure we were well taken care of, had refills. Food was good, and there was enough for lunch some left over for dinner. I had their chicken souvlaki platter, and it's comparable to the one served at one of my favorite diners. Our waitress wrapped everything up for us and brought it back to the table ready to go. Seems like they get a lot of frequent locals, with the staff recognizing a lot of people. The booths are clean and it seems that everything inside was recently renovated. Pretty good experience!"

"Delicious, hot and great quality. We ordered a basic pancake meal with, eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, and a veggie skillet. The pancakes are not pictured because they came out later, but they were yummy, the batter was good, and the pancakes were fluffy. The pancakes here are dense, so be aware that you may not finish them."

"The sandwich was decent, and the toasted bagel was fine as well. However, I have to say that the tea was completely unacceptable. It tasted like it was brewed in 1970—old and stale. Honestly, it was the worst tea I've ever had in my life. I won't be going back."

"I had a craving for a classic diner-style cheeseburger deluxe, and this place certainly delivered. Everything was delicious! The burger was thick and juicy, and the fries were excellent as well. They even included some pickles and coleslaw on the side. I ordered through Grubhub (redirected from their website), and my food was ready just 15 minutes later. The price was $13.99 plus tax, which I found to be reasonable. In my opinion, both the burger and fries here were even better than those at Broadway Diner. Just a quick note: they didn’t provide napkins or ketchup in the package, but since I was heading home, it wasn't an issue for me. Just be sure to request them if you need them!"

"I ordered the fish and chips on January 22, 2021. The three pieces of fish were impressively large and quite tasty. The French fries were a hit as well and went well with the meal. My only issue was with the coleslaw; it had an unpleasant plastic taste that I found off-putting. I've enjoyed the coleslaw in the past, so I'm not sure what went wrong this time. I hope Leo can address this problem. Additionally, a dinner roll would be a nice touch to round out the meal."

"I ordered the chicken and waffles along with the biscuits and gravy. Let’s start with the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy, but the breading lacked any flavor or seasoning. Additionally, the chicken was placed on top of the waffle in the same container, which resulted in the waffle becoming a greasy, soggy mess. I don’t mind a bit of grease, but a soggy waffle is just not enjoyable. On a positive note, the waffle itself had great flavor; I just wish it had been served separately. Now, onto the highlight of my meal: the biscuits and gravy. As a country boy from West Virginia, I’ve been on the hunt for good sausage gravy since moving to Tampa over four years ago. I can confidently say that Joe's sausage gravy is the best I’ve found. If anyone knows of any other places that serve excellent, hearty sausage gravy, please let me know. Until then, Joe's has definitely won my loyalty for that dish."

"My wife, daughter and I were visiting colleges, and next up was Caldwell University. We had some time to stop for lunch and tried the diner. Free parking was available in the back. We were greeted by several employees as we came in and were seated. Service was prompt, and drink refills came without asking. Food was excellent. My burger was a nice size and my side order of seasoned curly fries was bigger than expected. I ended up taking them home for a snack. My wife and daughter also enjoyed their food. Would gladly return. Maybe my kid ends up at Caldwell and this becomes one of her local hangouts "
