"The sushi was outstanding and incredibly fresh. However, the service left something to be desired. Given that only two tables were occupied in the restaurant, I was surprised at how long it took for our food to arrive. I didn't expect to wait 15-20 minutes just for soup. It was a bit frustrating that the waitress kept clearing our table while we were still seated. On the positive side, they were very friendly and checked on us frequently after we were served. Update: I returned several months later, and the service had improved significantly. The sushi was once again exceptional."

"I thought this place would be like a mom and pop restaurant, since it's small. But they had 3 sushi chefs and other cooks doing hibachi. I was also surprised it was packed on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't even 6pm yet. They do a brisk to-go order business and with all the chefs, the service is very fast! I had to dock two stars. One because it was kinda dirty inside. The tables were quickly cleared but the bar had bits of food on it. There were crumbs next to the fridge and the shelf. My menu was handed to me with a gob of something stuck to the cover. The bar also had something on the corner of it. I got something reddish smeared on my shirt when I left. Second star was docked for smoke. As some others have said, it can be smoky in there. Some are definitely a burning smell from the grill. It's not well ventilated because I came home smelling of smoke and needed to shower. As for the good, the service is fast and the sushi rice was amazing. They had this real small grain rice, it was cooked perfectly and the rolls were tight. I thought it was heavy on the rice, kind of like all-you-can-eat places do. The fish I had was fresh and my rolls were artful and tasty. I just didn't vibe with the busy busy atmosphere here. But it seems to be a local hot spot for reliable food and popular for to-go."

"Don’t come here if you want bad service and to be scammed.This is my second 1 star review that I have left for this place. First one was because the waiter was horrible. This time it’s because they decided to take it upon themselves to add an 18% tip onto each receipt. We ate with friends and split the check 2 ways. One for 3 people and one for 2 people. We noticed they added an 18% tip of EACH receipt. We went up to ask about it and they said that they require an 18% tip if it’s a total of 5 people or more. I explained that I had never seen them mention that and asked them to show me where they had that written. They took a moment to look at their menu and couldn’t show me it written. I explained regardless we are not a total of 5 people since checks were split. They then reworded it and said “since it’s 5 people at the table we require the 18% tip”. He went back and fourth with us for a while before fixing our checks. Not to mention we had the same HORRIBLE and RUDE waiter. Don’t come here if you want bad service and to be scammed."

"There are several local hibachi restaurants and Nikkos continues to be the best! From the salad, soup, main course, and specialty drinks everything is consistently amazing. I have never left Nikkos disappointed. Their portion sizes are enough to take home leftovers, but it's so good you won't want to stop eating. Vegetarian options: Their hibachi vegetables are delicious. They also have meatless sushi options. Parking: Plenty of spaces. Kid friendliness: My kids love the atmosphere, but are picky eaters. They do have a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: There are two sets of doors to enter the building and they do not have an automatic door opener. Everything is on one floor and the seating is wheelchair accessible for both the regular tables and hibachi tables."

"We only go to Chicago for family, food, and to fly. Well for the most part... for my daughter’s last two birthdays we went to Sushi Tokoro. Both times, service was attentive and polite. The food was fresh and servings were plentiful. The price was fair. The environment was casual, very clean and earthy feeling. Bathroom was immaculate. We parked a block west in the street, near a Burger King. This year we are attempting to make sushi at home, but if it fails, we might just drive from Kenosha to Chicago for a pick up!"

"Today, April 14th 2022, I had a wonderful lunch at your Kennesaw location. The food is always great and your prices for lunch are unbeatable. Thanks for the awesome food. I would like to mention a detail I witnessed. Your cook had on what appeared to be camo sweatpants pulled down below his rear when he started cooking. About halfway thru the process he finally pulled his pants up. Itappeared that he is not a regular cook. I ordered Steak and shrimp. My friend ordered salmon. When the shrimp was finished cooking your cook mistakenly put my shrimp on my friends plate. When I mentioned I had ordered shrimp and not her, he took the shrimp off her plate, put it back on the grill and then picked it up and put it on my plate. I always thought if food is put on the wrong plate a cook would never remove from that plate and put on the correct plate. Should he not have left it on the wrong plate and cooked more shrimp for me?"
