"I recently had Chutney Masala cater my husband's birthday party for 20 people and I was extremely happy with the experience. Navjot was very responsive and easy to communicate with, even offering to make one of my husband's favorite appetizers that wasn't on the menu. The lamb, chicken, and shrimp dishes were all incredibly delicious, and we were glad to have leftovers. The delivery was punctual and helped keep the surprise for my husband. The spicing of the food was perfect, especially during the heat wave, and really stimulated our appetites. I am looking forward to my next meal from Chutney Masala!"

"Each item on the tasting menu had me going wow and wow and wow. I think by far, after trying so many Indian restaurants across the New York city and New Jersey state this is the first and perhaps the only restaurant offering something Unique towards Indian Cuisine. Like Honestly, being an Indian sometimes you don't even have to look at the menu at an Indian restaurant, it's usually the same everywhere. What Zaika has done is something extra ordinary with their tasting menu and entree's. Chef Raamanuj is one of the most humble and creative chef in the business and I saw people applauding several times to him. It's a new place, and its so promising, can't wait to go again. In a summary, Ambiance: 9/10 Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 [It was prompt and no waiting time] Drinks: 10/10 [Try the Mango Lassi here] Crowd: Moderate Location: Prime [Midtown, near grand central]"

"This is absolutely my favourite restaurant on third ave. The food is amazing and the customer service is incredible. I like a lot of spice in my dishes which typically leaves me dissatisfied at restaurants, but they managed to find the perfect balanceand (despite me definitely being a bit picky) Gary is super accommodating. I recommend this place to everyone I know and theyalways leave satisfied. The food is always fresh and with a 50% off lunch special, everyone in the area should definitely giveit a try."

"Just a sliver of a spot for dinner. Competent wait staff in a cozy, intimate setting. I was happy to find an Indian food restaurant close to my hotel. Menu had many, customary, both veg and non-veg items. Dishes were authentic, moderately priced, and served promptly. Mango Lassi was slightly sweet, smooth, and well made. Garlic Nan was the perfect traditional accompanimentto our Chicken Tikka and Lamb Vindaloo. Tikka gravy was a might sweeter than I usually experience, like some bit of excess sugaradded perhaps, and Lamb Vindaloo was with some rather tough, fatty, and stringy ?lamb? in a gravy watery with raw gingerslices. Not altogether unpalatable as spices were in balance, but also not the best to be had. I would probably return toinvestigate more, and considering the authenticity of the cuisine, the pleasant ambience, the good service, and amenablepricing."

"You can enjoy a meal here without breaking the bank and in a timely fashion. Once you sit down and place your order, your appetizers are served within minutes, and your main course arrives just as you finish your starters. I'm amazed at the quality of the food given how quickly it's served. Plus, the lunch special is unbeatable. I would rate this place a solid 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it!"

"A very nice Indian restaurant. It's mostly set up for takeout, but there are about 10 tables and the service is very good. The samosas are one of the best in the area crispy, well filled, and not greasy. I had the chicken vindaloo and the allow adjustments for spiciness. The amount served is enough for three. They also featured a new baked cauliflower dish, with perfect heat. And their desserts are amazing. Pistachio cake? Delicious. One of my favorites. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vege choices Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Vindaloo Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection"

"Everything about the experience was awesome. The food was exceptional, full of creativity and unexpected moments I thought I didn't like okra until I had it shredded and fried with the cod appetizer. The place was beautiful and quiet, the service excellent. The prices were kinda stiff for us but the quality of everything (and stiff commercial rents) make that unsurprising. We'll save it for special occasions, but if we were rich, we'd be here once a week just to show our appreciation and enjoy some truly beautiful food."

"Unexpected Pleasure! We are a small three-generational family and newly relocated to the area and were looking for some decent Indian fare. Reviews for all nearby Indian restaurants were modest at best so we chose the highest rated one. There were only a few customers at about 7:00 PM on Sunday night and we were a little worried, but their peak time for Sundays was shown as midafternoon. What a nice surprise! The restaurant was wonderfully clean, we were promptly greeted and seated with beverages ordered. We chatted with our server, Zameer, who made us feel like family. He helped us with a couple of our selections. He even gave our youngest member, a new driver, some fatherly driving advice! We ordered a number of appetizers and plates, including non-meat choices for one of our guests. The food came promptly. We sampled from each other's choices. The lamb was delicious, as were the veggie dumplings and especially the bendi masala. We had little pastry balls in a honey sauce for dessert. The food was mildly seasoned (I am sure you could have it spicier if you asked), but it was nonetheless less flavorful with a bit of pop. Everything tasted fresh and made to order. We will definitely put this tidy little place with its pleasant staff and good food on our list of regular GO-TO's in our new neighborhood."

"Tricked into paying $3 extra for buffet They had a tea thermos sitting at the buffet, there was a sticker in the corner that said tea is not part of the buffet. Many people like us assumed that tea is part of the buffet (which is the usual case in other indian buffets). They charged us $3 extra for each tea. The tea was stale and tasteless, we couldn't drink it after a couple of sips. When we pointed it out to the server, she just said sorry and went ahead charging us $3/buffet extra. You can keep our $6 (for our two buffets), but don't expect us back. This is a bad practice, we will not be shying from warning our friends and family about it."
