"The food here is consistently excellent! The Garlic Naan is fantastic and my favorite for dipping into the Chicken Tikka Masala, which is their signature dish. It's incredibly delicious and feels like true comfort food. I also tried the Kadhai Paneer for the first time, and it was great. It had a mild spiciness, around 1 out of 5, which was nice. I would have enjoyed a bit more cheese in it, but it was still really tasty."

"This place is one of my favorite places for Indian cuisine! Five stars on every aspect! Food quality is excellent and the portions are very generous! The prices are very fair for what you get, and there is still an article on the menu to try that is disappointed. This place is perfect for a date night, family night or even solo going. The restaurant is very nicely furnished with a beautiful dimming lighting. Very good together with relaxing vibes. Looking for a cocktail or beer? This is the place! The bartender can repair you a delicious drink or if you are a beer type, I recommend the Taj Mahal. Many parking and staff are very friendly! One last thing if you know someone who is all hard and can treat crazy wicy, they have a sharp challenge. I personally didn't try it because I usually very spicy my food (which is not the spiciest option) and you better believe Im?. I know my borders, so I don't think I'll try the challenge at any time soon, just thought I should share this little information."

"I order tandoori chicken, lamb biryani, shrimp biryani, samosa chat, butter naan, keema naan, rogan josh, paneer karahi. All total of $115 but I waste my money in the restaurant. Tandoori chicken was all dried and lots of color mix, lamb biryani from any angle it was not biryani and I even could not eat one spoon of it due to very bad lamb smell, shrimp biryani was not looked like biryani. Samosa chaat, they put nothing except yoghurt and looked like they made a day before, butter and keema naan all burned and keema naan had very bad smell like lamb biryani. Paneer Karachi’s paneer was not cooked properly and tastes was bad, rogan josh taste was very bad and smells like live lamb, I could not eat even single spoon. I order all these for dinner and I order afternoon but looked like it was made afternoon and served me when I went to pickup. Customer service is not good, they do not have smily face instead they looked like angry. I am not going there ever again and do not suggest any food from this restaurant. This place is worst Indian restaurant that I have ever visit. If there was negative star then I would have press that. And last but not least, finding parking is nightmare"

"I absolutely adore the food at this restaurant. They offer a great selection and the staff is always incredibly friendly. I also appreciate that they cater to gluten-free options, which is important to me. The service is top-notch, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The overall atmosphere is also quite nice, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The average price per person for dinner ranges from $20 to $30."

"During my visit to California, I became a regular at Royal Kitchen for three main reasons: first, the food is incredibly delicious and has a comforting, home-cooked feel. Second, Harry, one of the owners, is exceptionally kind and welcoming. Finally, after our first dinner at Royal Kitchen, my mother refused to try any other restaurants. Now under new management, I highly recommend this place for a great dinner after a long day. Thank you, Royal Kitchen and Harry, for making my dining experience worry-free!"

"I recently had the pleasure of trying the veg thali at this restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The thali was beautifully presented with a diverse array of flavorsome dishes. Each component was thoughtfully prepared and had its unique taste that blended harmoniously. From the aromatic curries (kadai paneer , Daal Makhni and methi malai matar) to the perfectly cooked vegetables and lentils, every bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. The balance of spices was just right, adding a nice kick without overpowering the natural flavors of the vegetables. The rice and assorted bread were the perfect accompaniment, completing the meal wonderfully. The attentive staff and warm ambiance added to the overall dining experience. Vegetarian options: Various kind of pakora, Samosa , chaats and veg curries"

"So my wife and I have held here after they have appeared in the app as close. we both love Indian food. we both agree that from all the places we have eaten worldwide, this was some of the best. the menu offers a nice selection of vegetarian dresses and when they were asked to make them vegan, they liked to. the service was fast and friendly. but eating is what it was about. there was no oil build-up found on some. the aromes were fresh and explosive. I recommend the garlic and chili naan when they are looking for something heat. I can't think of a thing that put me down and the price was more than reasonable. I will make this a regular stop when I have to drive out of the desert to go to the VA hospital."

"Delicious food, but there were mice on the floor. Staff did not seem surprised and blamed construction, patrons were shocked. We left earlier than intended!! Had to ask for our drinks to be covered and i was literally offered a cup with a cover to go... Was finally offered a $10 discount but definitely won't be back until they hire a better pest control company and the city of Cambridge controls the construction and mouse issue. Our meal should have been compensated. Have been in numerous restaurants in Cambridge across from construction, this was the first time there were mice inside the nearby restaurant though! Used to be my go-to for indian takeout in the area. Saag was still good, but they need a sanitation and pest control team to make that place airtight without mice before I'll be back in person, as good as the food is!"

"Food is excellent. Service, however, was not. We waited a long time for someone to come over and at the end we were forgotten about. I will say our server was friendly and appeared she was between the two restaurants. No one appeared to be running everything. Overall disappointing, food saved it though. If I go back, takeout is the way to go."

"UPDATE: I haven't been here in a while because I moved further away but I was in the area last week and was really craving the food and to my surprise, I was disappointed. I didn't see the same familiar face that always greeted us before so I asked if the place had been sold and was told no. I soecifically asked for the gentleman we were familiar with and I was told he is the owner and was in the back so that gave me a little peace of mind. Then we got our food amd the difference from before is day and night. It was bland, all 3 of our dishes which we always get so we know what the previous taste was. I asked if the chef had maybe changed and again I was told no. They either misinformed me in response to my questions or the chef has lost his/her touch. I miss the weekend buffet so at this point that is the only way I would return so I can hopefully eat something that tastes good cause the separate individual orders were not up to par. See photos from this recent visitORIGINAL: I really like this place and come quite a bit. Today I ordered for pickup and witnessed something degrading. One of the cooks poked his head out from the back and handed the person at the bar one of those small soup containers like you would get from a chinese food place. I thought someone had asked for it for carry out but to my surprise, the bar person filled it with coke and sent it back to the cook. I mean come on seriously, they cannot use a plastic cup or a glass to drink? I am curious to get some feedback from owners or management about this incident as it was a turn off for me. Depending on the response and if I come back I will ask the staff about this. Every human deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. I am a bit upset right now. I am actually sitting outside in my car. I could not wait to post this."

"Disgusting food I ever had from a Indian restaurant for the first time , pretty much expensive and totally tasteless and uncooked food , I ordered a vegetable biryani which is suppose to be cooked in a proper way but unfortunately the vegetable specially the cauliflower were uncooked and also the gobi Manchuria feel like a cauliflower added to a tomato puree, totally unprofessional cook, who serves the ragada patty without onion and tomato topping , it's totally waste of"

"Table for 3 for lunch I was meeting a couple of friends for lunch. As I approached, there was plenty of shared parking. ViceRoy was located in an open area with many other shops and restaurants. One friend and I entered together, were greeted and seated immediately with no reservation. We were waiting for the 3rd member of our party to join, but we got started on the buffet. As we were up and about, the server brought over our water glasses. It was lunch time, but the place was almost empty. Looking around the restaurant, I noticed it was spotless and designed with a minimalistic style. I surveyed the buffet and noticed many of the usual favorites; Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken and Chicken Biryani. Our other friend arrived shortly after and jumped right in line for the buffet. I went back for 2+ full entree plates and 1 dessert plate. We discussed the food and commented that it was OK. Nothing jumped out at me that was super tasty or made me do the happy food dance. Also, by the time I got the food back to the table, it was not super hot. I don’t know if it was because I was talking while eating, but it did not seem super hot. The team of servers were very attentive, but not very friendly. They efficiently and quickly came to clean up old buffet plates and bring out the Naan, but there were not a lot of smiles tossed around. Overall, a good experience with GOOD, not Great Indian cuisine with a super clean dinner room and nice ambiance."
"We really enjoyed this place! The restaurant is very clean, peaceful, and smells nice (like the spices they cook with). It was quite busy there were many sit down customers and to go orders which is a good sign. Because of that, it did take some time for the food to come out, but we didn’t mind since the food definitely tasted freshly made. We thoroughly enjoyed naan bread basket and the chicken tikka masala we ordered. The staff was friendly and professional, the prices were extremely reasonable, and the portions were generous. We absolutely plan on coming back and recommending this place to others."

"According to Google, the restaurant is supposed to open at 12pm. However, at 12:20pm, the front garage doors are still closed. The phone number listed is not working. Additionally, the employees closed the side door on me. There are also occasions when indoor dining is not allowed randomly on other days. I was looking forward to trying this place, but it seems like the restaurant is not reliable."

"The food is fresh, and the naan is wonderfully toasted right from the tandoor. Instead of bringing out everything at once, they continuously replenish the dishes, which is nice. The service is very good, with friendly and accommodating staff that feel like a cohesive family. I tried the tea for the first time, and adding half a sugar packet made it a delightful and fragrant beverage. The menu is somewhat limited, with around 24 main dishes and about 10 refrigerated options. There aren't many vegetarian choices, but as a meat lover, I didn't mind! The space is spacious and not claustrophobic. The current Indian music sets a pleasant atmosphere without being too loud. I noticed many Indian customers dining in and taking food to go, which speaks to the restaurant's popularity."

"Decided to try it out with some friends after reading the reviews. Great food, great selection, great service, great atmosphere, great prices, and open on Sunday. I don't really see how it could get any better than that. They've got a ton of vegan and/or gluten-free options too if that's your thing. If you don't like coconut milk in your curry they've got plenty of options without it."

"Update 12/7/22- another visit, another great experience. Punjabi wings were good (would have liked a little more salt) Chicken tandoori, Garlic Naan, vegetable samosa and sauce were flavorful, spicy but not overpowering, fast service, clean restrooms. Never disappointed (yet). We’ve been here at least 5-6 times over the last few years and the food is always amazing. Lentils, Punjabi chicken wings, tandoori chicken, Tikka masala, non vegetarian Thali, mango shake, mango juice tastes like the (Jumex) have all been cooked to perfection. The lamb had good flavor but tasted more like beef, but my wife said it was good. The goat was flavorful and tender. Clean restrooms. Service was slow but like all places, they seemed to be short staffed."

"I haven't been to an Indian Buffet since way before the pandemic, so now that this buffet is open, here we go. First off, wow, the price sure has gone up! It's $15 for the lunch buffet now! I never paid that much, but I guess prices are up all over. Thebig Chinese buffet in town is $14, so I guess that's the price of buffets now. Parking is open but a little weird, but justpark on the empty lot and cross the curb to the door. The place looks better on the inside than on the outside for sure. Plentyof open seating inside. I was surprised how small the buffet was, just one small line of steam tables, but I guess maybethere's not that much variety in Indian buffets. They did have what I came for though, and that's the Tandoori Chicken! Most ofthe other offerings besides the Tikka Masala and basmati rice, I'll pass on ... not the most appetizing looking stuff I'veseen. But I'll tell you what, that was the best tasting Tandoori Chicken I ever had at a buffet! It was so tender your teethjust sank in and pulled away effortlessly. The flavor was right on as well. I did like that they included thighs and drumsticks. Not like some Indian buffets, serving just the weird back and boney pieces and saving the good pieces for the ala carte dinnermenu. I got my fill of chicken so I guess the price was worth it. Nice hot naan was brought to my table too. Drinks includedwith this buffet, soda, mango lasse and hot Cha. The Tikka Masala was good flavored, but the white meat chicken in it was alittle dry, but that's white meat for ya. Poured over rice, the Tikka was very good. I'll come back here sometime. But I can'thelp think, the big Chinese buffet for a buck less you get way more selection of food ..... but you can get Tandoori Chickenthere!"

"Recently dined at India’s Castle Restaurant again and it never disappoints. Every dish brings out the authentic flavors of Indian cuisine.
