"I wanted to go to barndiva for a few years and was thrilled to get a reservation while we are friends in the opposite. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing. they are moved to a prix fixe model that is in order, and have done their best to the allium allergy of my friend that we appreciate. but if they do, they really have to nail the service, and they don't. it was half an hour between the curses (why? they knew what we would order! and the dinge really started to pull. there were some great differences in the teller size that seemed somehow crazy: the first cure was a choice between a Radicchio salad and a cross, and the salat was kind of massive, while the cross was just a few bites. three of the four curses were like that, and the last one was asked if we wanted to dessert. it was a request of the prix fixe, and while it was late, that was the restaurant did (we sat at 7:45 . the check was automatically set with a 20% size. eating was good, but I can't say it's an experience I would recommend."

"I wish I could give this restaurant a higher rating; the staff were incredibly friendly. I ordered the Carnitas Tacos, and they were loaded with pork, which I appreciated. However, they were a bit dry overall. I also think I received flour tortillas instead of the corn ones I requested. While the flour tortillas were quite sturdy, they were grilled a bit too much, making them somewhat hard. I did enjoy the warm chips that came with the meal, but I wasn't a fan of the salsa. Unfortunately, I ended up feeling quite sick after dinner. It wasn’t food poisoning, but the meal just sat heavily in my stomach. I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was disappointing."

"went for a ladies night out for a birthday. waitress was great. food was good. a few crabs were mushy and empty but we ate our share. my only complaint was that 2 of us had bariatric stomach surgery. can't eat alot. 6 crabs were around $27, all u can eat was $28 with just crabs and fries, which we were not gonna eat. we asked for a kids price on the all u can eat and were told no. but several weeks prior to that night they allowed our card from our dr to be presented and gave the child price. I understand we can order a kids meal or a regular meal and take home what we don't eat but the prices are $1 different for all u can eat or 6 crabs. they most certainly make the money. besides that issue. we had a great waitress, always checking on us and she was busy with several tables."

"This place is fantastic! The quality is high, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and skilled. They offer a wide range of delicious treats! My friend and I enjoy stopping by early every couple of weeks to pick up a selection of goodies as a special treat, and everything we've tried has been absolutely delightful. We first discovered this bakery while looking for a Swedish princess cake for my birthday, and it was amazing! I highly recommend this bakery, and we will definitely be returning."

"Probably won't be back. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, and those were pretty tasty. For entrees, I had The Great Cazbah and added avocado with fried okra for the side. The okra was decent, but the sandwich tasted like something I could make in my kitchen. It had barely any flavor and was very unimpressive. My husband had the Cuban Style Turkey with fries. His sandwich was better than mine, but the fries were really plain and tasted almost freezer burnt.  I wanted to like this place and have some good "diner" food, but unfortunately, it was really not good for a $30 bill. McAlister's has tastier, cheaper food."

"A local friend recommended this restaurant because of their red beans, sausage and rice and catfish. They did not disappoint. We dined in and had a very friendly server. From the tempting menu we instead chose a tasty crawfish étouffée and meat pie (flaky crust and lots of filling platter with dirty rice, each served with a fresh side salad, and great tasting iced teas. This was a very good and filling lunch! A bit more costly but definitely worth it! We did ordered the catfish and red beans, sausage and rice with bread pudding to go for our local friend!"

"Super quick bite to eat. Husband and I had chili cheese fries and ice cream. Their peach ice cream was SUPER good. Nice cozy place sitting right on the river and in a small neighborhood. If I lived on that block I could see me walking up there every Friday for food and every Sunday for ice cream. Edit 6/26/22: it's Sunday, and we went up there for ice cream again. It's the only place in Plainwell or Otsego we go for it."

"The grilled cheese with bacon, tomato and provolone on rye (one of the day's specials) and the vegetable soup were yummy. For the homemade dessert that comes with the special I chose the chocolate silk pie on Graham cracker crust. I opted out if the whipped cream topping though. I like my chocolate unadulterated!! Despite the sign asking patrons to be patient with service because of a staffing shortage, our service did not seem delayed."

"I really like our waitress she is brilliant, she is an older heavy woman with beautiful long nails the place is a little old and worn out, but the food is always wonderfully always fresh and she has always wonderful conversation for us my friend and I think this place one of our favorites! Seriously, it's a hidden gym when you're in the area, especially if you travel a lot, this is a great place to stop, don't let the outside fool you! The food is great!"

"Wasn't sure where to go for diner and made my decision by the number of cars in the parking lot. Made the right decision. Service was nice and friendly. Food was delicious. Kids had Spaghetti and some Tenders with corn and mashed potatoes. I had the grilled chicken salad. I'm not a salad fan but this was great! My girlfriend had a vegetarian meal and she liked it too. The prices are very fair. I wouldn't say cheap because the food is of good quality. Thanks to the kitchen and the nice service. Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp on the front. "We had an AMAZING experience here. Place was packed at 7am on a Saturday morning. The two ladies working the front end were efficient and very friendly. My husband had an all meat omelet with rye and a half order if buscuits and gravy. I had a ham and cheese omelet with rye. Both were prepared perfectly. The coffee was strong, hot, fresh and plentiful. We were sent this way by the front desk of our hotel and we are glad they did. Kudos to Maw Maws!"
