"I never leave negative reviews, but my experience with this place has me absolutely livid. We ordered from here through Grubhub, and the restaurant uses their *own* driver, so we cant track the order. We finally get through to the restaurant after over an hour of trying to call (AFTER waiting for an hour for the food, no calls, no food). The man who answered the phone tells my partner that it's been delivered, that the driver called us and he took a picture of the delivery, THEN tells us he cant reach his driver because hes off for the night, now. There is no food here, and it wasnt delivered to a nearby house by mistake, I checked. The kicker? We never received any call, not from anyone tonight. So this restaurant chose to lie to us rather than make good. If I could give this place a negative star or five, I would. Absolutely appalled."

"The food, beverages and service were excellent, and our table in the back looked into the garden...too bad it was a little chilly to dine outside. The only drawback was the noise level as there does not appear to be any soft surfaces to reduce the noise. We were seated next to a table of 6 or 7 and they were having lively conversation with lots of laughs. Nice folks but we were not unhappy when they finished. Reina was a good value and we'll go again when we come back to Frederic."

"At the buffet, we enjoyed various items, including chickpea salad, fresh cut vegetables, green salad, and pakoras (which were running out quickly, so I snagged some from my husband's plate!). There was also baby corn, some stir-fried vegetables (which I didn't really enjoy), chili chicken, Greek chicken, chicken tikka masala, paneer palak, rice, Peshawari dal, rice kheer, masala chai, and gulab jamun. I found the gulab jamun to be quite sweet—I could only manage a quarter of one. I actually preferred the kheer over it. Unfortunately, the tandoori chicken I ordered felt rushed and wasn't as satisfying. They might want to consider reducing the size of the gulab jamun, as many people only ate half. Overall, it was a great experience, and I look forward to returning!"

"We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The service was charming—both friendly and attentive. The warm bread was incredibly tasty. The bruschetta lived up to its appearance and was some of the best I've ever tasted. The fettuccine Alfredo was excellent, though I would have appreciated a little more chicken in it. The stuffed shells were outstanding, and I loved the option of adding Parmesan, which was a nice extra touch. We are definitely eager to return and try more items from their menu."

"Time: 2:37pm/52°F clear What: North Beach Deli second location is set to be open on MLK Day. Aside from this location, they also have the original location on Jackson st. Where: NBD is located on the ground level of City Center 12th St Bart station promonade. The shop is nestle between Radio Shack and La Salsa replacing the former Fresh Fuel spot. Why: Because its not just a sandwich shop out of the blues. These are experienced sandwich makers at work that knows how a sandwich suppose to be and whats expected. What to get: North Beach Turkey and Godfather. What to expect: Depending when you go, the place could be packed with lunchtime office workers. What you'll see is a no frills sandwich shop with friendly smiling workers eagerly waiting for your order. Since its their first day there wasn't anything out of the ordinary as far as sanitation goes. The place is strictly to-go, but theres one table tucked in corner for two people. Sando are packed solid with three choice of bread: whole wheat, sourdough, or french. Basically you can go with one of their listed sando or a DIY including making sando a wrap version. My sandwicheez was really good. Thick slices of mozzarella and deli thin slices of turkey stands out. The bread never ever tasted dry or brittle as pesto were evenly spread on top and bottom of roll. Turkey slices tasted a bit too salty and briny. To wash it down, they gave me a large drink of choice on the house. Who doesn't want freebies right lol? Punchlines: New, friendly staff, efficient, experienced, limited seating, public transportation hub, self-service soda fountain, under $10 sando (including signature series), drool-worthy, happening, no combo deals, no gluten free options, low carb available. Final Thoughts: Well, it's like this. I've had better, but for the area and its surrounding this will do. Sando is worthy of its weight and size, but meat seems to be the issue. It's not the baked in-house version, its processed soaked in liquid sodium to prevent drying out. Again, its a notch or two better than Subway, but falls within that category as well."

"I had made a reservation for 7:30. It was my son's birthday. We also stayed at the River Crab hotel there . We were seated at 7:45 At 8:05 No one still had come to.our table. Had to ask for water and 8:15 a boy brought us water and said he would send over a waitress. 8:30 still no waitress Got up and told the hostess to please send a waitress. 8 :40 still no one. Every waitress passed out table like we were not even there. I.was so upset that we got up and left the restaurant and went somewhere else.to eat. There were 4 of us and my son's birthday was totally ruined!!!!!. I have never in my life treated so poorly at a restaurant. I will be sure to tell my friends of the horrible service we received. "The full name for this small soup/sandwich/salad chain is North Beach Sandwicheez. There are 4 locations 3 in Oakland Downtown City Center, Kaiser Center and Jack London Square. There 's a fourth location San Ramon. This event was held at the Kaiser Center location. This Yelp Elite event ran from Monday, April 12 through Friday, April 16. My wife and I went at 1 PM on the second day of the week long event. It was not crowded at all and service was super fast and the staff was really nice and patient with us newbies! Finding the place turned out to be fairly difficult. First, we didn 't realize it was housed inside the Kaiser Center Building. We I used our GPS to get us to the street address but there were no signs or indications of the actual location. Therefore, I pulled into the multi story Kaiser Center Garage, parked and proceeded to find the elevators to get us to the Main Lobby so that we could ask someone. We finally found it and it turned out to be just a short, 50 yard walk from the reception desk. The menu is fairly simple. They offer sandwiches, salads and Wraps. The sandwiches come in 3 categories and 3 sizes Mini Small Regular) Classic $6.50/$7.25/$7.95); Signature $7.95/$8.50/$9.50) and Hot, Oven Toasted Sandwicheez small $8.25/ regular $9.15). Classic includes Turkey Breast, Roasted Chicken, Pacific Tuna, Pastrami, Roast Beef and Italian Ham. Signature includes Sinatra ham, salami, Italia Mortadella, Provolone and cheese), Tuna Melt, Monterey Chicken, Roadhouse Beef, Turkey Bacon Club, Hoagie, North Beach Turkey and Godfather. Hot Sandwicheez include Turkey Pesto Melt, Chicken Florence, Buffalo Chicken, Super Avocado BLT, Hot Pastrami Swill, Hot Roast Beef Cheddar, Texas BBQ and Las Vegas Reuben. And, they do offer vegetarian sandwiches, as well. We brought them home a 40 minute drive. Mine were still warm but I put them in our air fryer on high for a few minutes and they turned out great! I recommend doing that for any of the hot sandwich items. My wife got the Sinatra and I got two Sandwicheez items a Hot Pastrami and a Las Vegas Reuben I like Pastrami). My wife reports that she liked her Sinatra. I ate 1/2 of each of my two choices and I also enjoyed both of my sandwicheez items! The bread was very fresh with a nice tender interior and a nice crunchy exterior. Tip instead of parking in the Kaiser Center, save yourself some money and park out on the street or have your spouse or friend go in to get them. If you do park in the high rise parking structure, be sure to take note of the parking floor and section and take the ticket with you because you must pay for your parking before returning to you vehicle. And last but not least THANK YOU SANDWICHEEZ, EMMA AND YELP! It was a fun experience and we enjoyed our interaction with the friendly and efficient staff! Fortunately, there is a store location San Ramon) within a few miles of our house. There, I will try out other menu items in the near future! Jim"

"Just Ehh! I like the idea they were trying to go for, but I think they missed the mark. Went here on a Saturday night with 3 of my friends. We were hoping going to grab some apps and drinks. Service was slow. BUT I always expect that nowadays, and never usually hold that against a place. If I remember correctly, the menu is all seafood, which duh , you are at the beach. BUT for those that don't care for seafood, it would ve nice to have a few different bar food type options. Chicken fingers,potato skins, flat bread pizza, things like that. Things people can share and probably stay a bit(and spend a little bit more money ? They did have Mozzerella planks. Which basically were tiny fried mozzarella. They give you 3. They were not that great, pretty flavorless and the sauce taste like jar sauce. We had two drinks and left.The outdoor atmosphere is pretty cool. Nice bright decor."

"In the past month I have eaten here every week. The food is always fresh and delicious, the wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable and will ask other staff if they dont have an answer for you. All other staff are so friendly and accommodating. I'm physically challenged and use an electric scooter. The restaurant is very handicap accessible (including the restroom) and when the staff see me arrive in the parking lot, they are waiting and holding the doors open for me and the same when I leave. Today a delightful chef instructor showed my sister and I their lovely herb and vegetable gardens which they use to cook their delicious meals with. Today I had a fabulous lunch with my sister, last week I had lunch with 2 friends of more than 30 years and 2 other times it was lunch with my husband. Every time was a very pleasant experience. I encourage those of you who haven't found this little gem, to do so. Keep up the good work Foundations staff!"

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered a starter, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"My family and friend sat on the dog friendly patio with our pups. We enjoyed the curry and lemon pepper wings. Both were fantastic! After a round of draft beers, Jose suggested a cocktail. He asked me a few questions and then made 2 fantastic drinks for the wife and I. One a mix of a Negroni and Old Fashioned and a smoked old fashioned. Both were fantastic and unexpected from a Pub . We really enjoyed the experience and suggests others to go!"
