"Bottom line: I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. Fish is flavorless/low quality, most of the food was bland, better sushi for similar prices elsewhere in the area. Service was good though. Preface: I've been here a handful of times for their 3 regular rolls for $17 lunch special. I didn't like the fish, but since it was cheap I figured why not. I stopped going because I liked the Publix $5 sushi Wednesday deal better. I came back this time to write a solid review of the experience, and it was all the same as when I used to go more often about 7 months ago. Atmosphere: Very clean. Mid-light ambience. Very spacious. Very quiet so you can enjoy conversation with your party. Food: I enjoyed the $5 sushi Wednesdays at the Publix across the street better. The Miso Soup interestingly had more flavor than the last “higher end” sushi restaurant I went to, but their veggies didn’t seem that fresh. The seaweed wasn’t tender at all, very tough. The ginger dressing for the salad was pretty bland and they could have done a better job pulling apart the salad. The pieces were very large, not easy to eat in one bite. The Saké Mule did not look very aesthetic at all and tasted watered down. We got the Maki Combo under the Sushi Bar Entrée Menu which includes three regular rolls and the ginger salad for $22. The Shrimp Tempura Roll had decent flavor with the eel sauce, but the tempura itself wasn’t as crispy as I expected. On a scale of sogginess to crispiness, I would give it a 6/10 The Caterpillar Roll had the best presentation in my opinion, but also had a somewhat similar issue. The Alaska Roll should have been my favorite since it had the most raw fish which I love. Unfortunately, the fish itself did not have any flavor. The spicy Mayo was also very scarce. As you can see in the photo, it’s very easy to miss that they included it at all. I would rather them have drizzled it over the entire roll. The end pieces were also obviously neglected. Overall, the fish(the most important part of sushi) was very bland. I didn’t enjoy it. Service: I went later in the evening about an hour and fifteen minutes before closing. It wasn’t busy. We were seated immediately. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Our waitress visited us frequently to make sure everything was fine. Our food came out very promptly. I accidentally dropped my chopsticks. The waitress noticed from across the restaurant and immediately brought me another pair without being asked. I do, however, enjoy a wait staff that feels more relatable and friendly to talk to. Not to say she wasn’t very kind/polite. Overall very satisfied with the service. Overall, I would give this restaurant two stars if it wasn’t for the great service that our waitress provided. Nevertheless, I wouldn’t visit this restaurant again. You can get better sushi elsewhere in the area for the same price."

"My wife and I ordered from the all you can eat menu, and the price came to around $40 per person. The menu gives small sampler sizes of some of the appetizers (takoyaki comes with 2 balls) but full sizes of their sushi rolls! I’d say if you can eat a lot of sushi in one sitting until you’re full, definitely go with the buffet. I have also dined at their restaurant before, and their Deluxe Ramen was To DIE for! The thing I ate in the video was the bbq Pork Skewer, the spices and flavors EXPLODE and coat your taste buds with seasonings to remember, they’re tiny but they are Flavor Bombs!!!The service ladies are always on the move so you need to catch them while they’re passing by, they were ALWAYS asking if I needed refills on water and tea, however in the evening hours the “hot” tea does become Luke warm (since they were prepping to close for the night at the time when I was there, it makes sense they wouldn’t keep making new hot portions of tea). They were very friendly, always telling us what food item they were bringing so we knew if we wanted to order the same thing again. They take a bit longer to serve the hot items than the sushi though since they cook everything there to order, so that’s important to keep in mind! The ambience is very calm with lower lighting, and the booths are very private, separated with a bamboo screen partition. They have some statues of anime characters, as well as a conservative amount of anime posters that match the color theme of the restaurant. There is always anime playing on each of the TV monitors (which is very nice for a weeaboo like me)!All in all I’ll give this place a 5/5, even though they had some flaws later durring their closing hours, I’d say come here at the end of lunch start of dinner time for the best experience!Definitely go check this place out!!!"

"I ordered gyoza, spicy tuna roll, crispy rice with spicy tuna on top, sashimi salad and a beef bento box. What I would recommend from what I ordered: The Gyoza was good and the bento box was good. What I do NOT recommend: This sashimi salad is a joke! I basically paid $20 for lettuce with fish on top! Save yourself the money and buy a salad mix from the store and eat that. I order from a killer restaurant in Mid City LA, Yukio Kitchen that I compare all my sashimi to. Shame on you for charging so mush for this! A salad is more than just lettuce! Would it kill your to add Pickled radish? Pickled carrot? Seaweed maybe? Tomatoes? Just come on! Rip off! The size is a joke. Size for a kid! Not a full grown adult! Give me a break! I'm mad!I DO NOT recommend the crispy rice with tuna on top. I do not recommend! All rice and just a smear of tuna on it. Rip off! Cheep skates that cheated me out of tuna. No where else skimps this hard! It is cooked not raw fish which is not what i was expecting. The fish is bland. The only flavor is from the jalapeño on top. So, maybe they did me a favor for cheating me out of the tuna since it was flavorless boo boo. I DO NOT recommend the spicy tuna roll. They skimp on the tuna. It's 90% rice 2% cucumber and maybe 3% tuna. It has little to no flavor. It has heat but no flavor. I won't order here again. Complete rip off and no pride or integrity in the food. Such a shame. This place was good pre-pandemic. Order bento box and stay away from the sushi and salad."
