"Lunch on a Monday national holiday. Waited at front for over fifteen minutes ungreeted. When someone finally came to seat us, they greeted the last group of people that came in the door, though there were several groups that had come in after us. I explained we had a reservation. They told us that if we wanted anything from the kitchen it would be a 40 minute wait. As you can imagine, I said Pardon me? The hostess explained that they could do sushi right away, but anything from the kitchen would take at least 40 minutes. I suppose I should mention at this point that there were six tables seated in the restaurant and three servers on shift. Probably five or six dirty tables. Sushi was fine (Yellowtail and Unagi). Not the freshest, but better than I 've had in the area. My son had the tuna nachos but was surprised at what he received. I suppose I should have checked to make sure he knew what he was ordering. I ate it the next day for breakfast, it was good. The ramen was a huge disappointment. I had the Shoyu. The broth was flavorless and the chicken was pretty much unrecognizable as chicken. All in all, I had high hopes going in and was disappointed in just about every way. I would try it again for dinner, when they have better/more staff on, but I wouldn 't be back for lunch. It wasn 't worth $50, not the food, not the service."

Food was okay, not really authentic Japanese food that I was expecting. Miso was not that great, taste like instant and its not that hot.

We visited this restaurant during our two-night stay in Silverdale and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent Japanese cuisine offered at reasonable prices. We can't wait for our next visit! View menu

I made the reservation through open table and the restaurant wasn't even open! I had family come from out of town to meet me there and was extremely dossapinted when we arrived to find it was closed

my wife and I went to Jo:a for my 58th birthday. my youngest daughter recommended this restaurant over the other silverdale Japanese restaurants. I am helped japanese and used to excellent original Japanese kitchen. the entire crew and chefs of Jo:a are very friendly and respectful for all their guests. great food and great people.

Everything was incredible. It was the best sushi I have had in a long time, fresh, and full of flavor. They have a great selection for all tastes. I highly recommend their seaweed salad it was so light and flavorful and was a very good size portion as well for only 5 dollars! We will be coming back to try all the different rolls thwy offer. The manager informed us that Jo:a does not have a business relationship with OpenTable, so he would not honor our reservation. The floor was sticky, and our waitress had to be reminded to bring the soup and salad. The gyoza was burnt. We have dined here several times and have usually enjoyed it enough to return, but this experience was far from satisfactory. We will give it a year in the hopes that Jo:a can resolve its issues.
