"Failed Experiment in AI Robots The Sunday service is tailored towards all you can eat $42.99 “Ambar Experience.” At least that is how they apparently program their experimental AI robot server. It (a very realistic human depiction) meets you at the table and slightly overenthusiastically says “I’ll be taking care of you,” and offers a menu with no prices listed other than the $42.99 one. When later told by us that we were not that hungry, and just wanted an entrée, it said “it comes out about the same.” When asked if the Meat Pie was indeed $42.99, a small smoke trail began trickling from its ears, and its eyes went in a circle before acknowledging “no, the Meat Pie does not cost $42.99.” When asked, it was able to deliver a menu with entrée prices listed. About 15 minutes later it returned, beginning by asking if we wanted the “Ambar Experience.” We said no, and stated clearly and slowly that we wanted entrees, which it finally accepted. About 20 minutes later it returned as introduced itself, saying “I’ll be taking care of you.” It appeared to be the same robot in appearance as the earlier one, but if so its memory had been deleted or wiped we assumed. When we noted we had already ordered, it said “no one brought it out yet? Sorry about that.” Fascinating as this all was as an experiment with robotic AI servers, we actually did want a bite to eat, so we left. This place gets good reviews, and we tried the food once before and it was good, and the music was creative and cool (as is the culture from that part of the world), but we cannot recommend the Sunday “Ambar Experience” at least to those who are not in the AI industry. In any event, with service so slow, we suspect the all-you-can-eat bargain is diminished by the slow roll serving, but this is just conjecture. "Wanting more of a gourmet pizza, we decided to try The Toad House; one thing that was so enticing was the brick oven cooking. Over the years in my travels, I have heard people mention their pizza, so we decided to try it for ourselves last night! First of all, my hubby picked up the pizza, as they rely on GrubHub for delivery, and we didn 't want to wait the extra time to have it delivered. I can 't personally tell you how it looked inside; I can only relay what I was told and submit pictures my hubby took for me. My hubby picked up the pizza about twenty minutes after opening; he stated it was a little dated but clean. It was right after they opened, so judging cleanliness was tough at that point. He said the server wasn 't rude but wasn 't what he would consider friendly either. We had the Winning Combo, a little expensive at $25 plus tax and tip, but it was a good pizza, not incredible, but it is something we would order again at some point. The pizza came with a red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, spicy sausage, black olives, onions, fresh basil, fresh tomatoes. My minor complaints would be; the pepperonis were small in size, and there was hardly any on our pizza; I had two pieces of pizza and a total of 3 pepperonis between the two pieces. The spicy sausage was missing the spiciness but still had an excellent flavor. And the bottom part of the crust, although very tasty, I felt was just a tad underdone and a little bit chewy. The Cornicione crust ring around the pizza) was perfect! Cornicione means crust, a specific part, namely the outer rim or lip of the pizza. We love their sauce, canned or homemade; I don 't know; nonetheless, it was great in flavor! The Toad House offers a variety of pizza to choose from, also sandwiches, salads, and starters; if you are a beer lover, look no further; they have plenty for the taking, lights, darks, fruity, and ciders. If you are interested in trying The Toad House, you can find them at 1405 NE McWilliams Rd, Suite 101, Bremerton, Washington. The Toad House shares a large parking lot with Safeway, UPS, and a few other smaller businesses. Thank you for continuing to support all of our locally owned small businesses like The Toad House, and please be kind to everything living!"
