"Walked into this place was told to wait to be seated. The lady begin to take orders from two different tables. ... I didn't understand with the empty booths but didn't mind either. ... Once she began to take my order she started telling me that I shouldn't order my food the way I was. Saying that they will not make it the way I'm asking because that's not how it should be ordered. ... I gave this place a second chance after going in the first time saying that they usually don't just serve chips and salsa. ... I told her that it's on the menu and I'm sure she doesn't want to turn down money she said she has enough money. .... I found out her husband is the cook very respectful! .... His wife should not be talking to customers or taking their orders. I told her God bless as I left the building and of course meant it! ... As I was leaving the restaurant after I said God bless you then told me this is not a fast food restaurant .... Unfortunately I will not be giving this place a third try."

"Sunday March 21, 2021 3:00pm Spotted this little gem of a restaurant while driving home from White Rocks Marina. The restaurant still adheres to reduced/safe distanced seating and the staff properly wore masks. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. We ordered chicken nachos, two chicken tacos and a Cubaba (Cuban Sandwich). Everything was delivered hot and cooked to perfection. The chicken on the nachos and tacos had great flavor and texture. There was no skimping on meat or other ingredients every bite had a little of everything. The Cubana was a blend of flavors pork carnitas, ham, chicken Milaneza, cheese, and more all marrying perfectly. This sandwich is definitely on our list of favorites. We highly recommend stopping into the El Cabrito for fresh, delicious, authentic Mexican food you won?t be disappointed."

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we dealt with them before we did. We expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"It's great that this restaurant is located in our hotel. It's very convenient and adds to the variety of dining options. It was a refreshing change from the other places we've tried."

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"Really good food served in a very professional way in a historic setting. A stroll through the grounds and the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the garden terrace there was smoke from a decorative fire that was cleared away when we spoke up while sitting. The food was cooked to perfection and each of the four different requests was thoroughly enjoyed."

"The outdoor seating at this restaurant has a very nice ambiance next to the river. The food was well prepared. My dish was a bit spicy (the tofu chorizo) but that was not the fault of the chef, as the ingredients were fresh and beautifully presented. My son's burrito was excellent. Overall, a good experience."

"I reserved a table for two in advance for 9/10 just before 1 PM as I wanted to bring my husband here for his birthday on 9/11. We -and especially him- are HUGE Ravens fans so I wanted to make sure we got there in time for the first game of the season at 1 p.m. It turned out that they did not have the game on. My husband and I watched it on our phone as if we drove home, we'd miss the game (we live in Lansing, 1:20 min away! . I am also a DK employee and was very excited to visit this location for the first time. We ended up having a good time and were offered a free shot for the inconvenience, but, I don't expect us to come back any time soon for a game unless guaranteed that it will shown on the big screen! The food, drinks, price, and service were great otherwise! Thanks :"

"I love this place! Today was my first time here and I'm in love. The layout of the place is very interesting. They seem to have seating everywhere. There is counter seating on the outer walls and little tables all over. There is a small patio section out front and a bigger patio section in the back. The patio in the back is much better. It's covered with ceiling fans so it makes it nice and cool. The lay out makes it where it's lots of smaller rooms connecting. In the main room you order and there is counter seating there and about 5 tables. Then to the left is a larger dining room and to the right is the bar area. Both of which connect to the outdoor patio in the back. It's like a small circle. The only thing they need to work on is the service. There is only one register and so when we got there the line was out the door and the cashier was so slow taking everyone order and then ringing them up. Seems like they should have one person taking the orders and one person ringing everyone up. They are pretty fast bringing the food out though and take the empty containers away. I ordered the steak burrito. I got it without beans so they only charged me $5.75. This burrito was massive. Much bigger and better than anything you would get at Moe's or places like that. I seriously thought this burrito so much food for under $6. I easily could have shared it with at least one other person. This is probably going to be a favorite lunch spot of mine but if it's always as busy as it was today then they need to add some extra tables out in the back. The decor is very upscale and modern. It's really nice!"

"Hard to find a place like this anywhere in NW Wis. Most of the time you can find simple bar food. Not so here. Casual but great food for a dining experience. White linen tablecloths and napkins. Okay wine list. Good service staff. A Che who cares what goes on the table. Justified prices. Worth seeing."

"After giving us only the options of 7:15 or 7:45, not 7:30 as we wanted. When we arrived for our 7:15 reservation they kept us waiting half an hour. Although they were apologetic, they did not offer us a free after dinner coffee or any other sort of tangible apology. That kind of service does not encourage a return visit. The rest of the service was good, other than the waiter trying to suggest the Dom Perignon Champagne for $350 (he didn't tell us the price)."

"Went there after an outdoor event to get a drink. I don't know how I missed this little gem in the past, but I will definitely be returning. We had sangria for the table. It was good, but a little weak for my liking...????. The service was great and friendly. There were 6 people in our party. We all had various mixtures of the tacos. The pork belly ones were enjoyed by everyone. Several of us had the fish and spicy chorizo. We also celebrated two birthdays in our group"

"Unfortunately the food was unimpressive along with dismal service and possible nepotistic treatment. Sat for quite some time prior to server coming to the table for drink orders. Once drinks were ordered it took an additional 10 minutes. Food was unimpressive and just okay. Atmosphere was nice and establishment was clean. Overheard a family of four asking for seating and was told there would be a 30 minute wait even though there were multiple tables open. Bar was completely open but the restaurant would not allow kids to sit at the bar. Funny thing was that the bartenders small kids were sitting at the bar for the entirety of our dining experience. Not a place that we believe we would return. Pretty certain the family that was not seated will not return either."

"I ordered the chicken parmesan and it came overcooked, even carved along the edges. It was dry and had no taste except oil. No spices or herbs. I asked for a side of Marinara because I thought it would help. It didn't. Our waiter noticed that I didn't eat and asked about my meal. He must have noticed that it was overcooked and burned slightly because he said: “Is it because it is overcooked?” I'm very rare if ever complaining, but for $34, this time I did as he noticed it. He offered another meal of my choice, which was really nice. We had a show to go so I refused. He took my meal from the bill that was estimated. I am surprised that the cook would place a chicken stable in this state. He should be embarrassed to serve food in this state."

"Gringos Botanas is fantastic! While their prices are slightly elevated, they're reasonable for the quality. The food was definitely the standout feature. I ordered the tacos el tule, and they were delicious! The waitstaff was prompt and friendly too. In terms of portion sizes, I found that three tacos make for a satisfying meal. If you're after a feast, Golden Corral is just down the road. But if you’re in the mood for great Mexican food, the menu at Gringos Botanas has just what you need."
