"We went for our 35th anniversary dinner, a notation of which was made at the time of booking the reservation, and confirmed upon our arrival. Big mistake. Huge. The wait staff were kind, but completely clueless. The service was painfully slow and hardly attentive, despite the fact that there was only a handful of tables seated. We were served a miniature bread basket with miniature pieces of miniature rolls that had been cut into quarters...probably hours (days? before. They were so hard and stale that they were inedible. When we mentioned it to our server, she suggested that it was because they were placed under a heat lamp (what, yesterday? , but neglected to offer us anything fresh to replace it. The pork belly appetizer was dry and pretty tasteless. The sea bass was so dry that it was inedible, and I couldn't even cut through the upper crust because it was so overcooked. A replacement entree wasn't offered, and I had to get a visit from the manager after the meal to get it removed from our bill. Lucky for me that my husband wasn't too hungry, as he offered me half of his steak. We chose the chocolate cake for the dessert they comped us in honor of our anniversary (though there were no celebratory good wishes forthcoming . The cake was as dry as sand, and the frosting was equally flavorless. We couldn't finish it. Not surprisingly, on our way out (and we had to stand and move toward the door before we found someone to give us our check , the two recently vacated tables near ours (still uncleared BOTH had unfinished portions of the same cake left on them. Pretty disappointing, given not only how pricey the menu is, but not a great celebration of our 35 years of marriage."

"**Tuna and Salmon Tartar (2/5):** While beautifully presented, the seasoning was lacking, and the freshness was not quite there. The chips were somewhat soggy, which took away from the enjoyment of the dish. It was decent but not particularly memorable. **Octopus (5/5):** Cooked and seasoned to perfection, this dish came with a delicious sauce that added a creamy, savory finish. Highly recommended! **Ribeye (4/5):** Cooked perfectly to medium rare, but the seasoning was uneven. A quick sprinkle with salt would easily fix this. **Rack of Lamb (2/5):** It had great flavor, but it was unfortunately undercooked and too rare. It definitely needed more sauce, as some pieces were lacking in it, making it difficult to enjoy. **Seafood Risotto (10/5):** No, that’s not a mistake! This is by far one of the best risottos we've ever tasted, and we will definitely return for it. The only minor issue was that many of the meats from the mussels and clams fell out, leaving mostly shells. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it—you won’t regret trying it! **Tuna Florentina (1/5):** This was definitely one of our least favorite dishes. The tuna lacked flavor, and the orecchiette was inconsistently cooked, with some pieces soft and others hard. I wouldn't recommend this one. **Linguine Carbonara (3.75/5):** Rich, creamy, and well-seasoned. While it didn't blow us away, it was still a solid choice and you can't go wrong with it. **Soft Shell Crab Pasta (4/5):** This was a fun and delicious dish, with the soft shell crab providing a nice contrast in flavor and texture. Quite good! Overall, while the experience was enjoyable, it wasn’t without its flaws. The location and service were wonderful, but the food has room for improvement. On a positive note, everything came out quickly and together. Blue has great potential, and I have no doubt they will continue to evolve and enhance their offerings. I hope that next time I can give them the five stars I believe they are capable of achieving! Thank you for reading, and best of luck to them!"

"This happened a couple weeks back, but I thought I 'd share my experience at this place. What a bizarre experience. We had a company outing at Brass Monkey, and I had 2 drinks. After starting to feel slight discomfort in the stomach, my friend and I went to the bathroom. A lady bartender with wavy, blonde hair followed us into the bathroom and stood there, peaking under the stall !!! to see what was happening. She immediately said that I had to leave if I was feeling sick, to which my friend responded that I was feeling discomfort from earlier and needed to relieve my stomach. The only thing she said was you need to go and went to grab SECURITY GUARDS to escort us out. After having 2 drinks and simply feeling sick inside a stall i.e. private space where you have the right to simple privacy to do whatever you need to do , the security guards met us at the door of the bathroom and told us they would call the cops unless we left. So we didn 't oppose because it was completely unreasonable- feeling nauseous on a FRIDAY evening around 5pm is apparently not something they can handle as a business. I explained to them the circumstances, to which Erik, their security guard/manager, said, WORD FOR WORD, I dont care if you 're bulimic, if you 're throwing up it 's a bad look for the restaurant- you need to go. I tried to reason, explaining that I have friends who have struggled, and it 's not at all okay to say. Eric could not even make eye contact with me, and instead decided to express his annoyance with a talking hand motion, completely disregarding that what he said is extremely harmful. I would understand this reaction if my behavior was disruptive, inappropriate, rowdy or whatever else. I was absolutely fine, calm, and reasonable. All in all, I realize that restaurants, as private businesses, have the right to refuse service. HOWEVER, the way this was handled, the condescending comments Eric made in regard to our age alluding to the fact that I can 't handle my alcohol , the talking hand motion, and all the snarky remarks like the sooner you leave, the faster we 'll forget your face, so maybe we will let you in next time made our time at Brass Monkey absolutely traumatic. We seriously couldn 't fathom that feeling sick in a PRIVATE BATHROOM could ever result in this. Shame on the security guards and the management for not having the proper manners and experience to handle this correctly and respectfully. As a suggestion to the actual business owners, maybe invest in a proper training program? Finally, as a side note: Eric, just so you know, karma will get you"
