"The food was mediocre, but the service left much to be desired. I had to wait thirty minutes longer than promised to pick up my meal. After taking it home, I ate, but a few hours later I became very ill and ended up vomiting for several days. A visit to the emergency room revealed that I had food poisoning, which was confirmed to be linked to my meal at Hunan King. This is, without a doubt, the worst restaurant in Blacksburg, and dining here could put you at risk for food poisoning. I will never return, and I have already warned everyone in my organizations about the dangerous food at Hunan King. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant at all costs."

"Yangtze offers classic American Chinese cuisine that's not only delicious but also served quickly and at a fair price. I've noticed some complaints on Google regarding delivery times and the demeanor of the staff, but I think those are a bit exaggerated. The food photos on the wall are a bit faded and have a slight green tint—this suggests they've been around for a long time and have focused more on the food than on decor. Their General Tso’s chicken is top-notch, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu."

"I have dined at this restaurant a few times and I must say, the quality can be inconsistent. Some days the food is great while other days it's not so impressive. During lunch, the hot food selection mostly consists of chicken, with the exception of sushi and a few other items. Dinner offers a bit more variety with a focus on seafood. The restaurant is usually busy, especially during dinner service. I personally find the lunch buffet to be more worth it as I am not a fan of seafood. The price for dinner is slightly higher due to the increased seafood selection. I paid $13.88 for the dinner buffet with a drink, and $12.78 for the lunch buffet with a drink. It would be beneficial if they separated the seafood from the non-seafood options, as they are currently mixed together which could be a problem for those with allergies or preferences. The atmosphere is basic, maybe a bit cramped."

"Tonight was our first time ordering from Ho's, and we were quote disappointed with the food, and there were no napkins or plastic utensils. The delivery person was very nce; but that's the only compliment we have. My orange chicken was not orange chicken... tasted very spicy, and lacking flavor, and orange chicken is NEVER spicy. My egg roles were burnt, and completely dry. My daughter's sweet and sour chicken was very watery. I usually order elsewhere, but my daughter mistook Ho's for the Chinese restaurant I use. But trust me; We won't be making this mistake again. Wish I could post the pics took of the egg rolls."

"This restaurant has been our go-to favorite for many years since we live nearby. I wanted to leave a review to inform others that they have changed their menu, and unfortunately, the food quality has changed as well. My order on May 6, 2022, was as excellent as it has always been, but when I ordered again on May 21, 2022, I was sadly disappointed and surprised. Maybe it was just an off night, but everything tasted different, the breading was not the same, and the lo mein was incredibly bland. After being my top choice for over ten years, I’m not sure if I’ll return. I don't understand why they made changes to food that was already fantastic. Now I have to search for a new restaurant, which is disappointing because I love supporting local businesses."

"When I arrived within that timeframe, I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. The dining area is small and cozy, and I look forward to dining in soon! My order was verified at the counter, and everything was prepared exactly as I requested, with perfect portion sizes. The crab rangoon is fantastic and one of my personal favorites from this place. "I was picking up my order so I went in the restaurant. The guy behind the counter kicked me out without asking why I'm there. I waited 10min. I checked the app in my phone. It said my order was ready 20min ago. I called the restaurant to verify with themif my order is ready. They said yes. I said then why did you kick me out. I got my food and drove home (30 minutes). I got homeand passed out everybody's food. Mine was missing... I called them up and they said sorry I'll make it for you now. So 15minthere and 15min back, everyone has finished their food and going home. I have ordered here before. This will be the last time."

"This has been our Go To Chinese restaurant since we moved to the area in 2014. The food used be so plentiful and delicious.. we ordered it knowing there was a price increase (which is understandable) but less food and sooooo unappealing! The general tsaos chicken tasted like shredded, hard pork overly fried in a sauce that was almost burnt. It literally wasn 't edible! Our egg rolls were tiny compared to what they were and again, not great quality. We also ordered the hunan chicken and sweet and sour chicken and nothing was like it used to be. My speculation is that maybe rent has gone up since the plaza has been updated with Our new store and appearance and they are using cheaper food but charging more to make ends meet. I 'm SOOO sad to have to post the is reviews but ...it 's a lot of money for not great food!! Hopefully things will turn around."

"The food at this restaurant is outstanding, with great prices and generous portions. The service was both prompt and attentive. I tried the shrimp fried rice, which was flavorful and packed with fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked shrimp. The orange chicken had a delightful crispy exterior and was juicy on the inside. The chicken chop suey came in such a large portion that it easily fed my entire family. Overall, it’s an excellent restaurant where everyone left feeling satisfied and full. I’d give it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it to friends, family, or anyone in the area. This is truly the best Chinese food in Orland Park, and I will definitely be returning many more times!"

"I ordered from my home for delivery, i was on my front porch waiting for the food. I am hurt and can not walk far, the delivery person sat out front laying on the horn screaming incoherently. I said get out of your car and deliver my food, he yelled a string of profanity and sped off down the street almost hitting a few children. Went through the stop sign speeding away. "Probably some of the best Chinese in the area (we drive all the way from Newberg to come here). We have always gotten take out, but plan to eat inside at some point. The food is always flavorful, the BBQ has never been dry (which is sadly pretty common at a lot of places), and the fried items like shrimp and chicken are always lightly golden brown- cooked just right. One of the best parts- the sweet and sour sauce isn 't overloaded and thickened with cornstarch like most places are. If you have leftovers, the sauce is still sauce the next day, and not sweet sour jello. Our only complaint is that you pretty much can 't make any substitution from what 's on the menu. Other than that- great place!"

"We arrived for our Valentine's Day reservation only to find a crowd at the entrance of others with the same situation, unable to be seated. It seemed as though the restaurant had overlooked all its reservations. We waited nearly an hour past our reservation time before being seated. The appetizers took a long time to arrive, followed by the entrées, which also took quite some time. This place might be fine for a casual visit, but I wouldn't recommend making reservations or planning a special occasion here."

"I have a double combination of garlic pork and pepper steak. Also an appetizer of the cold noodle with sesame sauce. The portion sizes were huge. They give sooo a lot of food. I couldn't finish it for a meal. The pepper steak was very tasteful and garlic pork very sharp. The double comb came with chicken roast rice and it was a good amount of chicken and rice. Overall, the food was great and I had a great experience. Will definitely come back."

"Ordered sesame chicken chef's special, which comes in a plastic dinner type container with a clear plastic lid. It was good flavor, quality and portion size. Also ordered sweet and sour chicken dinner and it came in a folding box with a few pineapple, green pepper and onion chunks, and a big side cup of s&s sauce. Both came with a smaller folding container of white rice, and were good flavor, quality and portions. Ordered 2 orders (5 count) of crab ragoons and they were good except for not very hot, but still tasted of great quality and were big, also came with sweet and sour sauce to dip. 4 fortune cookies were included, they accepted the coupon online from their pdf menu, and I asked for a take out menu which has coupons for next time. Staff was friendly, and food was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. I do not think they use msg as i was able to eat more than 4 bites, and do not feel sick like i usually do after eating msg."

A whole-in-the-wall with keno-oriented interior, but AMAZING tofu and great food.Now with recent management or ownership changes, it's TERRIBLE. Everything about it was worse: texture, flavor, visual, odor.We had the general tso's tofu, crab puffs, garlic broccoli, and lo mein. General tso's flavor and texture was way off. The crab puffs were the lowest effort puffs I've ever seen (just triangles with about 1.5 teaspoons of crab puff mixture). The lo mein was absent of content outside of noodles despite being an entree. The garlic broccoli was steamed into a pulp.The new owners should be ashamed of what they did to this place. Just do yourself a favor and get some cold chinese from the freezer sections at winco across the street"

"This is my favorite restaurant. The food is fantastic—always consistently high quality and great prices. My top picks are the teriyaki beef and shrimp fried rice. While I'm not a fan of the egg rolls, everything else is excellent. I believe their chicken wings are the best around, better than any other place I've tried, and they use whole jumbo shrimp in their dishes, unlike some other restaurants that cut them in half. If you haven't tried this place yet, you're in for a treat!"

"Delicious and Served Quickly! During our stop in town, we turned to our old GPS to find a nearby restaurant. Unfortunately, the first teriyaki spot we tried was a letdown, so we walked out without ordering. Luckily, our next stop was Rose Garden, where we had a wonderful meal that was served quickly. We began with an amazing hot and sour soup, and I was thrilled to find excellent vegetarian options—my favorite was the fresh basil tofu. My husband, who is a big meat fan, really enjoyed his almond chicken. Everything was incredibly good! I only wish we could have taken the leftovers back to Idaho with us."

I waited for my meal and noticed that the cashier did not say "thank you" to any of the customers the entire time I was there. Despite having several employees behind the counter, they all appeared to carry an attitude as if we owed them something. This establishment clearly lacks basic courtesy. As consumers become more aware of where they choose to spend their money, it would be nice for the business owners to at least show some appreciation to their patrons."
