"During my visit to Miami, I happened upon this restaurant while craving Chinese food. Given the name, I expected to find Vietnamese dishes or influences, but to my surprise, it offered authentic Americanized Chinese cuisine. I ordered fried rice, shrimp with broccoli, cashew chicken, and beef lo mein. The portion sizes were ample, and what stood out the most was the fresh-tasting shrimp and the crispy, vibrant broccoli. The sliced beef in the lo mein was tender, and the noodles were cooked to perfection for my liking. As a Taiwanese person living in Southern California, this was a delightful surprise. It’s the best Chinese food I've tasted in Miami so far, and the prices are very reasonable. The dishes are not overly greasy, salty, or starchy; if anything, I'd prefer a bit less salt due to personal preference. Overall, I'm very pleased with Mekong II and will definitely return."
