"La Fonda is very delicious Colombian Food. The employees are very respectful and nice. I’ve been to several Colombian Restaurants and they are one of my favorites. Their Carne Asada n rice n pink beans are my best and order often. Also their beef Soup is amazing. Give them a try, you will enjoy as I have."

"I've been dining at this restaurant for many years, back when it was still relatively unknown. Initially, the food was exceptional, but as their sales increased, the quality started to decline. I decided to take a break from dining here for about three years due to that issue. However, I've recently noticed a significant improvement in their food. I just ordered the Honey Chicken Box for delivery. This box is meant to serve about two average diners, but a single person with a hearty appetite could probably finish it all by themselves. Inside this somewhat worn, stapled cardboard box, I found: - 1 Pint of Honey Chicken (around 10 pieces) - 1 Pint of Pork Fried Rice, tightly packed - 1 Quart of Wonton or Egg Drop Soup - 1 Bag of Fried Wontons - 3 Fortune Cookies Typically, the honey sauce is provided in a separate container for those who prefer it that way, but I asked them to mix it in traditionally. This allows the honey to soak into the crispy battered chicken, creating a delightful effect. The pork fried rice is quite special in my opinion; add a little honey sauce to it, and the pork tastes reminiscent of glazed cherry ribs. On the downside, the soup was a bit cold, overly salty, and had too strong a flavor of scallions. The fried wontons were decent, but while I don’t mind a little grease, cold wontons just don’t sit well with me. Overall, it was a good meal, and it's a great option for students looking to grab lunch since it's located near the Miami Dade College Kendall Campus and is budget-friendly. Just a heads up for those considering delivery: the delivery driver had a bit of an attitude. I live only three blocks away, and he seemed to expect a tip of more than $3. He was fortunate to leave with all his teeth intact! Enjoy! -Eating food is eating history."

"As a business owner myself, I rarely leave negative reviews. However, the customer service we received this evening was unacceptable. My companion and I arrived 45 minutes before closing time to order a few sushi rolls, only to be turned away because the staff wanted to close precisely at 11. Despite there still being other customers in the restaurant, we were not allowed to order. We would have been considerate and left by 11, as sushi doesn't take long to prepare and eat. In our own business, we are always willing to accommodate last-minute customers, so this experience was disappointing. While we understand closing procedures, being turned away 45 minutes before closing was excessive. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant."

"This is my second visit to this restaurant, and I wasn't impressed during either visit. On my first trip, I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito that was quite bland, though it was still edible. During my second visit, I tried the rolled tacos, which had very little beef. I questioned whether it was 100% beef since it wasn’t shredded and seemed very light. Additionally, the red salsa tasted more like a spicy pizza sauce rather than authentic salsa. Overall, I was not excited about this place. The prices are higher than average, and there’s an extra 50-cent fee for card payments. I believe there are better options for Mexican food elsewhere."

"I've been a regular at this restaurant for years, visiting at least twice a month over the past six months. However, I had a frustrating experience yesterday when they charged me an extra $3.99 for rice and beans. My meal was supposed to include rice and beans! I've ordered the same dish many times before without any extra charge. When I raised the issue, the manager claimed that rice and beans are no longer included. But I ordered the same dish just last week at no additional cost! The menu didn’t mention this change, and the server didn’t inform me either. Despite my objections, they refused to remove the charge from my bill. This is the last time I'll be dining here—what a terrible experience!"

"I have passed this place many times but today was my first time trying and my expectations were definitely surpassed. Anyone can use the word authentic to describe their restaurant but these guys are the real deal! Atmosphere, furniture+decor, and food are all inspired. We tried birria and barbacoa tacos and they were out of this world delicious best tacos I 've ever had. Will definitely be back; service was prompt, staff was friendly, and charming location. Thanks Monarca 's team!!"

"I only been here for breakfast. I ordered the veggies omelet and comes with avocado. Most places charge extra. They have a salsa bar and they bring fresh chips to your table. On the weekends they have a live band. And they also take requests on music which is nice. Vegetarian options: So far I just order there veggies omelet and comes with fresh slices of avocado. Parking: Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Is for wheelchairs."

"The Mexican food here is pretty good and reasonably priced. However, I wouldn't recommend ordering the steak and eggs. I tried to eat it multiple times, but it was so tough that I had to spit out every bite. Fortunately, the other dishes are tasty!"

"Very Underwhelmed. I've been here several times and was always pleased with the food until my recent visit. I always order the same dishes, however, this last visit my friend and I noticed a huge difference in the food. The food was very bland. My friend also ordered the Crying Tiger salad and the beef was tough and chewy. I had to ask for sauce for the drunken noodles which were sticky and dry...the basil rice with chicken was extremely bland and flavorless. Our waiter"

"Ordered two combination meals using UberEats and selected pick up. I was notified that my order was ready and headed to restaurant. I gave my information to hear that “it’s coming right up.” After 10 minutes they come out with only one order being ready. The cashier sends meal back and requested the additional meal. 5 minutes later I’m told the type of chicken I requested for my meal is out and if I’d like to substitute. Already annoyed I selected a choice from what they had. It took 25 minutes from the time I entered restaurant to the time I left. All this time for an order that was endorsed as “ready for pickup” online. I can’t return to this establishment. They need to be trained on what excellent customer service looks like."

"New restaurant in San Marcos! I ordered a large meal, but my order was messed up; they substituted chicken for beef without informing us. I tried to point out that it was beef when we were told the order was ready, but we were left in the dark for the entire hour and 15 minutes we waited. I spent $80, and the food was terrible—dry and stale tortillas! I do not recommend this place at all! I didn't even want to give it a star, but that was the only way I could leave a review!"

"I went here for Trap and Paint this past Sunday (2/20). The event was nice but I’m not sure I will go back to this venue. The event was only 2 hours, but I hadTo stand in line literally 25 minutes to get a drink. Only bout three people ahead of me. They told me they only had house stuff for the drinks, I don’t do cheap distilled liquor mixes lol so that would be a no....I asked for a double shot of 1800 and the cashier told me$17....gtfoh. I didn’t buy that. I ended up getting my house liquor blue motorcycle and went about my business. I didn’t enjoy it tho. I only got it cuz I wasted so much time in line, I wanted a drink smh. You’re better off gettin drunk right before the trap n paint lollllAlso idk the bartenders name but she was kinda stank, letting ppl stand near the bar waiting for her to engage us, and not letting us know that we had to get in line. Jus walking past us like we didn’t exist. If they have Trap and Paint somewhere else I’ll go again but this place was kinda trash for overcharging and wastin all that time."

"I would like to share my experience at the restaurant. I had made a reservation for 20 people, but it turned out there were actually 30 of us. Unfortunately, the online booking system only allows for a maximum of 20. That night, there were also three or four other birthday celebrations going on, which added to the chaos. While I understand that the restaurant was busy, the customer service was quite disappointing. It seemed like the staff could benefit from more training. I was really looking forward to introducing my friends, who mean a lot to me, to the waitress, but by the end of the night, my friends were unhappy with the service we received. I genuinely love the place and the food is good. I also want to support my friend Nacho and the Venezuelan community. I will visit again, but it's clear that improvements are needed. God bless you all!"

"I ordered through DoorDash, but when I arrived to pick up my food, it wasn't showing up in their system. I tried using the app, but the restaurant manager refused to prepare my meal and insisted there was no order. Overall, it was a terrible experience. On top of that, the food was disappointing—the rice was watery and the fish was overly salty. The service was very poor."

"I visited the restaurant and looked at the menu. I noticed that the beef soup was priced at $11. However, after I placed my order and got my bill I noticed they charged me $17. They informed me that I was looking at an old menu., they gave me a new menu which stated that the beef soup was actually $17. Additionally, when I ordered a pupusa, the chef informed me that the order comes with 2 pupusas. On the menu, it stated $3.50 for each pupusa. I didn 't have to place an order for two pieces. When I brought it up to the manager 's attention, he became defensive. Now, let 's talk about the food. The beef rib soup consisted mostly of vegetables with only one piece of beef rib, and it was super salty. It cost $17, and the pupusa were not good at all. It was more Maza it barely had any meat stuff inside. which I find it to be quite expensive. I have to agree with Angelina A who reviewed the restaurant three months ago, it 's definitely a rip-off.They claim to be a pizzeria, but it 's essentially it 's a Central American restaurant. I wouldn 't recommend going there for Italian food, let alone pizza.Translation in Spanish:I visited the restaurant and looked at the menu. I noticed that the beef soup was priced at $11. "Our dinner at this restaurant was decent, but not outstanding. The chimichanga was chewy and lacked filling, and the beans and chips/salsa were just okay. The tacos were good, especially on Taco Tuesday. The Horchata was delicious, although we were disappointed that they ran out. The cheese dip was amazing. The atmosphere was very colorful and we would consider coming back for that alone. However, our server was not very attentive and the food did not all come out together. Overall, we may return in the future, but we are still looking for our favorite Mexican spot."
