"We ordered sushi rolls,I love the tuna,my wife is a vegetarian, so there were several options, however we didn't say there was a vegetarian. It arrived on time, but as my wife was un packing, her two vegetarian handrolls were next to a fish. She called, a bit nasty to start,but someone quickly diffused her, told her not to worry, and in 15min, we had 3 individual replacements. Absolutely up and beyond to get a replacement that fast. My wife felt awful she was a bit rude to start, she wanted to call and apologize but it wasn't that bad really. I didn't just give 5 stars just for that, the spicy tuna rolls,and fried pork dumplings were very good. I'm not sure if you can make fresh Wasabi or not,but their's is so strong w a fresh,moist consistency that will melt your face if your not careful, I personally love it. My only criticism would be the slight need for some,or more rice wine vinegar in the roll's rice."

"Ordered a mix of sushi and sashimi for curbside/takeout. Was not good had a fishy taste, not fresh tasting. Only ate 1 piece of roll and 1 piece of the tuna sashimi had to throw it out because it tastes so bad : Baffled by all the great reviews for this place maybe i caught them on a bad night or something. "The food here varies from decent to quite good (around 3.5 to 4 stars), depending on your selection. Like many others, I've faced some customer service challenges in the past. I still occasionally order takeout for their fried rice and tempura, as they are among the best in the area. However, I used to order more often until I had a negative experience with one of their staff over the phone. After being a regular customer for a while, I have a feeling there might be more than one problematic employee. That said, I haven't experienced any issues when dining in the restaurant. If I were to find a place with better food, I likely wouldn’t come back, but unfortunately, there aren't many great options for Chinese or Japanese cuisine in the Ewing area."

"Ordered the following to go: chicken fried rice, fried calamari, caterpillar roll, California roll, sushi appetizer. Was a little over 50$ and was extremely disappointed. I think many of the high ratings come from people who haven't really been outside the Brazos Valley Bubble or haven't gone to other places.The fried calamari was extremely bland, it didn't even taste like it had salt. The portion was really small. For about 10$, I expected more than exactly 10 pieces. It appears that they probably count exactly how many pieces each order gets, which means it's 1$/piece, which is insane considering it was so under flavored. They are definitely penny pinching.The fried rice was average.The menu: the menu is huge but most of the actual roles have the same ingredients over and over again or when they finally have a different ingredient, it's mixed with something like jalapeno. The variety is actually lacking for the quantity of sushi rolls they have. It's just most of the same ingredients over and over again with a different add on here and there.The sushi: the fish tasted old and fishy for most of the pieces (except the California roll, but it's hard to mess that one up). I get CStat is fairly inland, but I've tasted better sushi elsewhere (Naked Fish, etc are some places that come to mind). We should've just stopped inside HEB and gotten fried rice from the freezer isle and the sushi from HEBs Sushiya. It would've certainly been cheaper and it would've been the same quality."

"Ichi Tokyo is and has always been my favorite place to eat. Tonight they out did themselves, hands down. I always get the all you can eat. Recently when eating at the sushi bar seating the chef has been offering either a signature salad or signature roll at no extra charge. Tonight was a signature roll. It was a 2 piece roll called a lady finger. They were absolutely mind blowing. After eating an appetizer then 3 rolls and 9 pieces of sashimi, I was asked about a 2nd round and humbly asked for more lady fingers. Telling them I would gladly pay extra knowing they weren't on the all you can eat menu. After some coaxing they made a 4 piece lady finger. They were absolutely mind blowing to the point i of laughing out loud. ,lol, I literally could close my eyes and taste every flavor. I mentioned several times to add this to the full menu]. I will definitely be requesting these every time."

"This place is unbelievably unprofessional. They seriously followed my husband and I out after we changed our minds and didn 't want to eat here based on how poorly we were treated by the server before we ordered any food. My husband took one small, barely noticeable sip from his drink and they FOLLOWED US OUT TO OUR CAR TO ASK IF WE WALKED OUR BILL. Like are you serious? Please be so ffr right now. The host and the server both confronted my husband about walking the bill . If he 'd drank it all, I 'd understand that, but one sip? I offered them $0.10 for it but for whatever reason they didn 't take it. They seem more interested in berating people and offering piss poor service over providing great food and great customer service. It 's really gone downhill and doesn 't seem to be improving. If you 're interested in a horrible time, this is the place to go!"

"I chose Hana Tokyo for my birthday celebration. While I have had hibachi before in other states, my husband and kids had never experienced it, so I thought it would be a fun and delicious choice for everyone. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was very attentive, quick with refills, clearing plates, and friendly. The food was good, with tasty salad, though the soup was a bit bland. Our dishes were cooked well, but our chef seemed inexperienced. He struggled to divide the shrimp appetizer among us and lacked confidence in his skills. The desserts were mediocre, with the fried ice cream lacking proper coating and the bananas just okay. The mango margarita was overly sweet and oddly thick. Overall, good food and service, but disappointing chef experience. I may return for sushi, but would not choose hibachi again."

"Today was our third visit and will be our last. We waited 30 minutes for our drink order, and then we were served the wrong meats- I don’t eat steak yet it was placed on my plate before I could inform him I had chicken and scallops, my sister didn’t get vegetables, our water was never refilled, and our silverware was dirty. For the two of us, we were charged an 18% gratuity when our experience wasn’t worth the cost of the meal nor an 18% tip."

"Beware of bugs in the food! I’ve been ordering from Kumo 1—2 times per week for about a year. Tonight I ordered a bunch of rolls. While eating, I spotted something crawling in my sushi rice. "Next, I had the Chicken Tempura, which consists of fried chicken coated in a crispy batter. It was both healthy and savory—perfect when paired with a beverage! The third dish I tried was the Beef Sukiyaki, which comes with thinly sliced beef served in a hot broth with noodles. It was incredible—fantastic in taste and quite generous in portion! To drink, I chose a Japanese strawberry soda. It’s sparkling and has a light, refreshing flavor that complemented the meal perfectly. "I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The food was of outstanding quality, beautifully presented, and offered great value for money. The service was also fantastic. I enjoyed the Sushi Sashimi Combo Dinner, which was fresh, flavorful, and elegant, and featured Shiso leaves—something you rarely find in most Japanese restaurants in the area. Notably, there was more fish than rice! They also offered a wide selection of interesting Mali rolls for those interested. To my surprise, there was an extensive menu of Korean bibimbaps, including the only Okdol Bibimbap I’m familiar with. This dish is served in a very hot stone bowl, allowing the rice to form a crispy layer and enhance the flavors. I can't wait to return to this little gem!"

"A large variety of lunch specials from 11am to 3pm, every day of the week (e.g., three rolls of your choosing for just $13.95). They don't allow dining in currently, but really can't complain when their delivery is fast and free (i.e., no delivery fee and no service fee). "I'm giving this place 5/5 stars and here is why: 1. The sushi is shockingly good. I didn't expect this walking into a very small restaurant where we were the only customers. I always tell my wife, if we want to blindly try out a restaurant, we should at least try the ones with customers already inside. Well, I stand corrected. 2. They served us water as most restaurants do. But, they failed to mention this is cucumber and lemon water. When we tried it, we were surprised and worried about contamination. When we told the restaurant manager about this, they totally understood.. apologized and even gave us free ice cream. THAT is how you manage a restaurant. We didn't even expect the free ice cream but we were so grateful to be heard! 3. The prices are excellent. Really good. I do not suggest the crab rangoon. The sushi was fresh and fantastic at his price point. Service was good and even though a mistake was made... it was fixed and we gave a hefty tip because they really deserve that."
