"I recently had breakfast at this charming cafe and overall, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, creating a pleasant ambiance for a morning meal. The location was also ideal, conveniently situated in a great spot.One aspect that truly stood out was the delicious breakfast.However, one area where the cafe could improve is the attentiveness of the staff. While the service was not terrible, I did notice a slight lack of attentiveness from time to time. There were moments when it took longer than expected to receive assistance or have questions answered. Enhancing the staff's attentiveness and responsiveness would certainly elevate the overall dining experience.Nonetheless, I would still recommend this cafe to others. The wonderful atmosphere, great location, and delicious food make it a worthwhile visit. With a bit of improvement in the service aspect, this cafe has the potential to be an outstanding choice for breakfast or any other meal of the day."

"Eat: I have the captain crunch cornflakes pancake and was very excited about how I had heard great things about it. unfortunately the pancakes did not meet these expectations. the pancakes were only average pancakes and they put up capitious crunchy chalks. the pasture itself was stale, which makes no sense. the hash brown were well cooked, but under seasoned service: everyone was really friendly. it was clear, however, a busy and underoccupied day and it took forever that we could get water or even place a job. eating came quite fast, but our drinks actually came out after eating and we had ordered drinks before eating. prices: the prices of the food and drink were quite reasonable, especially in view of the given food content. overall it just didn't hit all hype."

"A friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here, and even though I hadn 't been to Lulu 's in several years, I was hoping for a nice time on her behalf. We arrived at 5 pm on a weekday, so it wasn 't busy at all. We had a really sweet server, but the service was slow, and it took a long time to order, then to get our checks. I ordered the crab artichoke appetizer to share, and that was good, but the chips tasted like they were made of whole grain. I also ordered the Lulu Rita, and even at the happy hour price of $10, it was awful! It looked like a slightly green tinted club soda in a tall glass. I doubt very much there was gold tequila or orange juice in it. What a waste of money. Then for my main meal, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. Although it had plenty of sliced pork, ham and cheese in it, that 's not what pulled pork looks like by any means. I couldn 't taste the spicy mustard, if there was any at all on it. There was no presentation whatsoever. Then for my side, I ordered the tropical slaw . It was so bad I sent it back. It 's not the least bit tropical-it 's a seaweed salad! Why on earth don 't they put that in the description? I was thinking grated cabbage with pineapple and possibly a ginger type dressing. Not that slimy thing. Our server did substitute a generous portion of sweet potato fries for it, however, which is the only reason I gave this 2 stars. I doubt I will ever come here again."

"we had a party of 23 and restaurant used a new server despite reservation made 24 hours in advance. Eat took forever to receive and after that we had to wait an additional 1 hour while the server tried to design bill, although they advised at the arrival that controls would be separate if possible and offer divided into 3 or 4 tabs. server also twice, individually, each one of us asked what we had ordered “so far”, so it is unclear what the confusion was about. Finally I approached the bartender who was not busy, as no one was at the bar and wanted to ask him if he could help to shut down our controls. bartender was rude, acting as if I were inappropriate, and accused me of producing the time we had waited for our controls. then he told me he would guarantee that it will be solved within 10 minutes. After waiting exactly 10 minutes without resolving, I followed with barkeeper, at which time he had accused me of lying about 10 minutes after I passed (9:44 pm-9:54 pm for a 7 oclcok reservation.) our party was not in a position to go well on a week after 10 pm. very, very bad experience, would not go back. Live music was great and the two artists were very friendly. FYI name has changed to hickory hops."

"The Coopers Tavern, by far their fried cheese curds, were the best. I gave them 5 stars for the cheese curds and Adams soup. My 3 steak sliders were not what I expected. The patties were tender but very bland even with the caramelized onions on top. It needed a little salt. The pretzel buns were good, soft, and fresh. The Adam's soup was delicious, creamy, and flavorful. I could eat a big bowl of it with the cheese curds and would be satisfied for the entire day. My husband's kimchi smashed burger was delightful, very tast. The kimchi was delicious!!! Service was fast, fully happy with the quick service since I was starving. Next time I'm in Madison, I will dine at Coopers again."

"The food was good. Brisket Mac was just okay tasted very creamy but in a box or velvet a shell kind of way. The burger “burger of the month” was delicious with fried onion straws and fried jalapeños and pico all as toppings. Cooked perfectly. I really wanted to try the deep fried Oreos but they were out so I got waffles instead. What a great choice! Waffles had a perfect cinnamon flavor and was served warm with ice cream and bacon sprinkles yep bacon but it was great, Id defiantly go back. There’s a lot of construction down there due to the new stadium so parking was terrible had to park like 3 blocks away."

"Excellent food, great presentation and nice decor. They also have a very good selection of beers and other drinks. Each of our meals was tasty and beautifully presented. "This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy live music. It is one of the few places in Portsmouth where you can catch a show on Sunday nights. The best part is that you can bring your kids who are under 21 years old with you, allowing them to experience the jazz bands upstairs. The cover charge is reasonable and the food is surprisingly delicious for a bar. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The only recommendation I have is to improve the lighting during music events as it can be a little too dim."
