"I 've been a fan of i Trulli for years, but also spent two nights during my last trip to Florence seeking out a cinghiale dinner. Apparently, I was seeking cinghialle during the wrong season in Florence, but was delighted to discover quality cinghialle now available in NYC. I started with Negroni #6 which had really interesting botanicals I 'd go back to sip on negronis and nibble on salumi every day of the week. The salumi were fresh, fragrant, and gone way too soon! We tried the pappardelle (when in Toscana... , garganelli, and risotto. All were excellent I would happily order any or all of them again, and can 't wait to try the gnocchi with rabbit liver (not everyone in our party was keen . We weren 't able to fit in secondi, so I can 't comment on those, but we spied a Bistecca Fiorentina a couple of tables over that brought us right back to Florence another of my can 't wait to try items. As good as all of that was, the two stand out items for our group were the bone marrow (a few best I 've ever had s and, strange, I know, the potatoes (more best ever s . The wine list isn 't as extensive as i Trulli 's but there 's still a lot of really interesting wines to sample other than the sparkling wines, all are from Tuscany. While there are plenty of Tuscan staples you 'd expect (Chianti, Brunello, Super Tuscan , there are really interesting wines from throughout Tuscany and its islands. Ristoro is on the right hand side of what used to be the i Trulli dining room, while i Trulli still exists on the left hand side (as you 're looking from the street . The only challenge we face going forward is which side to visit we love them both!"

"I 've been 5 times and ALWAYS enjoyed myself, the food, the company, and the atmosphere. However, on the visit 12/21/2023 I visited for an anniversary dinner. This was the absolute worst experience ever. Service The server was extremely slow on a non busy Thursday evening. water took 15 to 20 minutes and bread service came around 30 minutes after we sat. Food The Lamb pasta was heavenly as always however when the half chicken dish came out it was so dry it was a brick! To add insult to injury we ordered a half chicken and received a half cut chicken breast and the smallest wing ever. The server goes to the kitchen after we tell him we do not want the item he goes to the kitchen and brings out the whole chicken that they cut it off from. WHO AUTHORIZED THIS?? He states normally there are more pieces but we only received half of a breast and a wing. remind you I have eaten this same dish the last 3 times I came here. Normally, I would stop here however I am extremely disappointed in what happens next. The manager on duty comes out and talks for 10 minutes about how they use the chicken from the day before that they would normally just serve to staff. EXCUSE ME WHAT? and the server said Yes this is yesterday 's chicken This did not sit well with me to the point my face changed and the manager then changed the comment to he just showed you what it would normally be cut from . however, that 's not what either of them said. I just want a full refund at this point. This broke my heart because I truly loved this place and had so many memories here."
