"I regularly go to St Simons for junior golf tournaments, and I always wanted to go, but it seems like there are never reservations. I had no idea it was an Asian restaurant. The name sounded American and also oyster bar, so I didn't bother on the menu. The ravens were excellent! My friend had half the chicken, and unfortunately it wasn't boiled in the middle, and I don't mean pink. At some point, she cut herself into the flesh and rolled out blood. They took it out of the bill and reduced their rams by half, which was very nice of them. She also ended with the rams she loved. We had the One Night in Bangkok cocktail. It said that Thai chili had in the drink, but the spices were overwhelming, and we love spicy. We tried the cabbage rolls that had some kind of meat in them. You were just okay... nice restaurant. Beautifully decorated, beautiful ambience for a date night. I'd probably try again since the Uber driver said he never heard anything bad about the place."

"Nice place to do lunch. Has a beach side bistro feel to it and the outside seating is comfortable although the plastic chairs are a little rickety. Not many choices for sandwiches and almost everything seems to come with avocado which I'm not a big fan. The burger i got which was the F bomb was very tasty. The cheese sauce for the fries is AMAZING! Highly recommend the cheese sauce even to dip your sandwich in it. The wait staff was a little slow and didn't seem to have too many customers to make them slow. Not sure what that was. Still a great place for lunch!"

"For our second visit, the host and staff cordially seated us in the dining room, attended to us promptly and afforded us a personal visit from the friendly owner. We had read that alcoholic beverages are now being served, a wonderful and anticipated change from our first visit. Bottled water with a basket of pita and chopped marinated red pepper were offered as a complimentary starter while we reviewed the options for our meals. The menu is extensive and the portions are ample. For an appetizer, my wife I enjoyed authentic falafel with humus and arugula accompanied with a sour cream topping. Unlike what we’ve eaten in other restaurants that serve this delicacy, our appetizer was savory, nicely presented and tasted better than any we’ve had in the Capital District. For our main dishes, my wife, a vegetarian, had the eggplant salad platter with baby baked potatoes, cherry tomatoes, ample cheese topping and a sizable green salad. My dinner meal was the branzino filets, delicately and artfully arranged mashed potatoes and a green salad. Both meals were served on large plates and very hot. Neither plate had any leftovers! Completing our meal were a serving of pistachio baklava and a pot of decaffeinated rooibos tea. The ambiance and excellent service by Sean made for an extremely favorable impression on us during this follow up visit. Needless to say, we highly recommend this restaurant, and we’ll be back!"

"Me and my boyfriend ate here during memorial day weekend. It was pretty crowded, but I was able to book a reservation 30 minutes before we arrived and we got right in. The food was actually pretty good. I had the chicken and waffles, and he had the shrimp and grits. We had a gumbo appetizer which was OK. We also had a appetizer of biscuits and they were delicious. The service was OK. We ordered a mimosa flight as soon as we sat down, I had to ask the server to check on it after about 30 minutes and he gave me a very snappy response. I ended up receiving my mimosa flight after my food had come out. All and all the food was good And service were decent."

"I had the veg plate: Fried parmesean corn, tofu and a side salad. The corn was really delicious. The tofu was perfectly prepared, and the side salad was very fresh. I like this place because you can go with a meat-eater and have lots of veg selections everybody's happy. On a different occasion, I had the sweet potato pancake (one of their specialities). Ooooh, it was SO good. Good place. I like the one on Hendersonville Road, as opposed to the smaller one in downtown; it's much roomier and easier to get in."

"We had three young children. They insisted on putting our group at a high table and wanted to stack high chairs ontop of each other for each toddler. We had a fire chief, a fire captain and an EMS director with our group. Not only was the idea ludicrous but very unsafe. When we asked to move the couldn’t understand why “because that’s what they have always done”. Wish they insurance adjuster was there to see it lawsuit waiting to happen"

"Everything was excellent, but there were a few standouts. Which is to say the bar is pretty high here. The wine list is impressive and well selected along with a good selection of beers on tap and some bottles. Their cheese and charcuterie menu had as many individual items as most restaurants entire menu. Separated by hardness and type of milk. Paired with super top notch smoked and cured fair, it's a foodie dream. I had the smoked fried chicken, scallops, brocollini, brussel sprouts and the green beans along with a dark ale. Everything was an explosion of bold flavors spiked heavily with a bounty of citrus in many forms. Flavors varied from Thai to Indian to Moroccan in inspiration, but never lingered in one place to long. Citrus yogurt and shaved cucumber tzatziki were some of the creative touches to these dishes. The scallops were so perfect I felt guilty eating them and I want the brussel sprouts to bear my children. Awesome helpful service as well."

"The food was good, but the charcuterie board really won us over — it was fantastic and reminiscent of Demtries. We had no complaints and were definitely willing to come back. However, when we returned recently on October 23rd, we found that the charcuterie board was no longer available. We had been looking forward to it, so when we learned that the menu had changed, we left feeling disappointed. I know tastes vary, and I’m sure the other food is great, but this was a letdown. This month has been disappointing for us with two experiences, first at Demtries with their drink menu and service, and now here as well. We thought we had finally found our go-to spot, but with the changes, we might reconsider. I hope they bring back the charcuterie board; I understand they are trying out new things. We might return in a year or so."

"The dining room at Fish is really impressive—very upscale with a menu that sounded quite appealing. And since it's run by James Clary, I expected it to be excellent. Unfortunately, my first visit shortly after their opening with my family didn't meet those expectations. Upon arrival, the hostess simply stared at us, so I cheerfully chimed in with, "Hi! Welcome to Fish! There are four of us!" Apparently, she didn't find that amusing. From there, things went downhill. Our server seemed overwhelmed with too many tables, resulting in slow service. The fish in our appetizer was past its prime, but the manager kindly removed it from our bill and offered a coupon for our next visit. I decided to give them some time to address their issues and returned a few months later, this time sitting at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the service was still lacking. I was never asked how my tuna was (which, again, was not fresh), and I couldn't eat more than half of it without any comment from the staff. I would have enjoyed a second glass of wine, but I never saw my server after she delivered my meal. I've heard that the new Clary's location is fantastic, so I truly hope they've resolved these issues."

"My wife and I wanted a nice laid-back place to sit outside and enjoy a fun dinner. We ended up being very disappointed by the service. Our server took about 10-15 minutes to get to the table (which feels like an eternity when you are waiting to order beverages). They took our drink order and quickly returned with a cocktail and waters but the beer we ordered was delayed by a few minutes. Not a big deal, but then the night went south. We didn't see our server again for a very long time. We started to feel like our appetizer was a little delayed when food runners showed up with our entrees. No app in sight. We let them know and eventually the server brought our app. But we were halfway into the meal by that point. The food tasted fine. Nothing extraordinary but not bad. The nachos, I admit, were delicious. The mac and cheese we ordered was described to have bread crumbs but was missing that. Fortunately the server had it taken care of pretty quickly. We were never asked about having our drinks refilled. And after eating, we waited a long time for our check. It just seemed to take forever for everything. None of the problems by themselves would have been a big deal, but together it added up to a somewhat unpleasant experience. The server was nice and apologetic. They also comped us the appetizer which was nice. May have been an off night or maybe a new server, but I can't say I would recommend going on a Saturday night. Also, we did enjoy the outdoor seating area. It was a little tight, but the ambiance was nice."

"We went to the Sainte George for our anniversary dinner Saturday 1/6/24. It was nice and the food was INCREDIBLE. Dinner with 4 drinks, an app, two entrees and two salads was like $280 total including the 20% tip. Not bad at all! BUT our server at our table was the bartender also and while he was ... polite.... he couldn 't have been more bothered to be taking care of us. He didn 't tell us his name, he didn 't tell us the specials, he didn 't check on our drinks, he didn 't bring us our meals (it was the kitchen 's food runner I believe)... He got the orders right.... but outside of that there was zero interaction with us...We were even his customers at the bar prior to getting our table. When he was at our table, he didn 't even say Hi, have you had a second to review the menu? He didn 't say anything...like awkwardly silent... and we couldn 't understand him hardly when he did speak. It wasn 't a speech thing because I over-heard him talking to his co-workers just fine. I am not a complainer... like ever. I have worked in the service industry for years and have the most respect for the kitchen staff, servers, all of it.... Not to mention, we had a reservation for 7:00, and my sister, knowing it was our anniversary, called ahead Saturday afternoon and asked the manager to allow her to buy us two drinks on her credit card ahead of time as a little gift to us on our anniversary, and that wasn 't brought up at all during our dinner. Of course, I didn 't know about it then, but that same night once my sister asked if a round of drinks had been paid for..No??? So, we went back and the manager honored it and said she spoke to my sister personally and she just forgot about it. The servers around us were so kind and bright and at least somewhat engaged with their tables. Ours FELT like.... can I help you? why are you here? We felt uncomfortable and it was really weird and awkward the whole time. Again, clean, great GREAT food... beautiful setting, but won 't go back"

"Been going here for 4 years now. Thing have gone downhill fast. Last 3 visit have been very long waits. Over 1 1/2 hour after ordering breakfast food and still hadn't received it. Ended up paying for the coffees and leaving. As we left people paying said they waited 2 hrs. I'm sorry but whomever is running the place has lost their passion and it shows. Another issue I had I watched a kitchen staff employee go to the restroom with a kitchen towel over his shoulder. Then came out same towel and walk right in the kitchen."

"We are traveling in from PA for a vacation and tried this stop based on reviews and ratings. First on the plus side, the food was pretty good. We got Stuffed Mushrooms to start. The stuffing was fantastic and the mushrooms were well cooked. My wife got the minishore with some of the best clam chowder I ever had. I got the Captains Platter which was good. I found that the fried clams were the star of that show. A few negatives. For starters, they are still in pandemic menu so it's limited. That's okay but not advertised anywhere I saw on their website. The service was also pretty slow, but they have signage up front to let you know they are short staffed so it was expected."

"11/2022 Wifey had the fish and chips (French fries were a potatoes mix fried, personally don 't care for that type of frie) and I had the Roadhouse Cobb and had Mesquite Chicken added on top killed it. Also had yummy rolls and an IPA. 6/2020 My family and I come here twice a month minimum. Great food, great bar, good service, at a good price. 2/2022 Ok I see my last post was 2 years ago, which is good cause its consistent with my remarks today amidst this COVID 19 situation. Well we ordered today off of Postmates cause as we all know the Virus has us Safer at Home so we got delivery and they were amazing. We got a family deal, The Tri Tip for $35 bucks! What! Six big pieces of tri tip steak, four big baked potatoes, roasted corn, and their famous rolls. We also ordered a side of Cheese sticks. We were able to make four plates like the one below. Food was amazing. Remember their not able to pull the steaks off, throw them on a plate, then to your table. So the food isn 't as hot as when your there at the restaraunt but every bit as good. It was a good reminder with the note they wrote on top of our bread container, I attached the pic. We 're all community. Do what you can to help support."

"I had an amazing experience thanks to our server, Mandy. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring that everything was perfect, and she had a wonderful personality. It's been a long time since I've experienced service as excellent as hers. Honestly, this girl deserves a RAISE! She checked on us several times, brought us refills before our cups were empty, and knew the specials immediately. I could continue praising how great my fiancé and I felt at this restaurant.
